Setting
The setting for this story is located in a small town in York, England at a house known as Shell Cottage. Shell Cottage wasn't just a house but actually a orphanage or group home for the children that offended move around or are known to cause trouble
The home as around 10 acres or so surrounding the property with a small garden, the closet town to the cottage was 30 minutes away to the right while to turn left and around 20 minutes away was the ocean.
There wasn't much close distance around the cottage besides from a forest type grove by the home and a across the road and a few feet in front of the home but there is a stream that cuts through the back of the home that many of the children enjoy to play in or cool off from the sweltering summer sun. Besides from that there are really only a few brushes or trees close by the home not that any of the children care since on most day's they have to stay within the walls of the home.

Shell Cottage orphanage is a two, well three story building. The building is made up of a pale or white brick material that been painted white but now that paint is cracking while the window still are made of dark brown wood that looks like it wasn't shaved down properly and isn't securely held onto the side of the building with above a window with four panels separated by the same uneven and partly cracking wood each window and window still is one the first and second floor and spread out every few feet or so.
There are only two windows on the third floor with white blinds always closed in them to prevented children or anyone else from seeing in or maybe from someone seeing out.

The first floor windows are about always opened during the day while closed during the night while the second floor windows always remain close no matter what season it is or time of day it is either. The roof of Shell cottage than looks like it's made if dark brown straw but actually it's made of light brownish brick that are a bit chipped and covered by dark brown straw to give it that cottage feel and right below it houses the third floor which many would call the attic even through the children or orphans of shell cottage would call it the forbidden room since no one besides the head care giver is allowed up there and it gives the children chance to imagine what she's keeping up there, the door to the attic is found at the end of a small and darkish hall covered in thick dust and the door itself is a plan door except unlike the other's it's made of dark brown oak type wood.

There's two entrances into shell cottage and that's the front where the door is a sandy color made of wood with a stone step underneath it and a stone path leading up to it where at the road is a single mailbox
made of light brownish wood and is sandy in color except there is no fence. The back is the same sandy color door made of wood with a stone step underneath and a over hanging light blue pavilion with two sandy color picnic tables and benches made of wood on either side of the door along with a stone path leading up to the door but again no fence around the house or for decoration.

Entering shell cottage from the front door the first room you'll see is a living or family type room, with a tan color five or four person couch in the center of the room and the same color coffee table made of wood in front of it along with four tan colored chairs placed perfectly around the coffee table. A foot or so against the wall of the room is a tan color T.V stand made of wood with the only T.V in shell cottage stood. The T.V was average in size but smaller than most and would show half than less channels and on day's of even just light rain the T.V would lose connection and leave the children bored to death.

The room also has a bookshelf in the back made of the same tan color wood and is full with books but not crammed and finally a shoe rack made of the same tan color wood stood to the right of the door underneath a window when to the left stood a coat rack made of rusty metal and the tan color wood in front of another window. The flooring was tan color wooden planks that are the same throughout the house along with a single tan shaggy wool rug in the center of the room. There are then two doors made of tan wood leading to other parts of the house, one is next to the T.V and it's the head care giver office that children aren't allowed in unless they have permission and the other on the left side and leading deeper into the house is the entrance of the kitchen.

Upon entry of the kitchen you would see the tan wood flooring and light tan walls, while half the room was a modern kitchen at the least minus a few items that were out of date or a bit rusty with a island type bar in front of the kitchen that was also made of tan wood along with five or six matching light tan wooden bar stools to go with it. The other side stood a round light tan wooden table with four wooden light tan chairs and a small light blue table cloth on it along with the occasional stacks of paper and pens, this was another work space either sometimes for the children or care takers of the orphanage. Continuing to the left would be another light brown door leading to a dining room where there would be a single long table made of dark oak wood with matching dark wooden chairs around the table, around 20 or could be seen. The back door to shell cottage is then on the back wall or left side of the dining room.

On the side or back of the room, leading deeper into the house is a small hall with a set of tan wooden stairs leading to the second floor. Next to the on the right of the stairs was another tan color door this one however leading to a small bathroom with only a sink and toilet.

Up the stairs and entry to the second floor is a long hall with light tan wooden flooring and two doors on each side. The rooms are almost parallel to each other, as the first door in the right side was the m girls dorm or room which held around 6 beds on the back wall then two beds each along the opposite wall with the door between them and around four windows in the room with each bed having it's own trunk at the end of their bed and night stand either on their left or right with the occasional bag underneath their beds. The first door on the left then was the boy's dorm or room and it look just like the girl's room with the same number and position of the beds, trunks, and night stands. While the second doors on both the left and right side of the hall were the communal bathroom which was large enough to hold four showers, four sinks, and two toilets each with the right belonging to the girls and the left belonging to the boy's.

There was another set of stairs in the center of the hall leading up to the small hall and entrance of the attic but no one was allowed up there besides the head care taker. Four care takers lived at Shell cottage as well and their rooms were along the back of the hall where three more doors sat, the center one was an bath strictly for the care takers and it had one shower, one toilet, and one sink while the right door was for three of the care takers and it held three beds along the same wall each with a trunk and night stand, two dressers and two desk's. The door on the left was for the head care taker and that one held one bed, a dresser, desk, closet, balcony, and another door leading up to a private bathroom.

The head caretaker office then held a single desk with two chairs in front of it and a single one behind it. One computer on the desk with papers stacked neatly around as well as two filing cabinets on either side of the desk, an marked calendar hanging on the back wall behind the desk and on the left wall rows of heat pictures of the orphans that got adopted. The attic however is a different story for it had it's boxes and cobwebs but hidden by a false bookshelf was a secret room that held contents of magic, portals to new worlds, and the famous sword in the stone.

Main Character
The Main character is a boy named; Alexander Knighton. Alexander or Alex is a thirteen year old boy that lives at Shell Cottage orphanage and been there since the age of nine when he declared trouble. However he's been a orphan since the age of four when his parents died from a attack even through everyone lies to him and says it was a car accident.

By appearance Alex is a tall boy of twelve soon to be thirteen at 5'6 and quite lean for his age while he is skinny the boy doesn't have that much muscles or is strong at all which is probably why the older children like to tease or pick on him. Alex despite from spending no time outside is perfectly tanned with dark brown hair that is almost never brushed but somehow appears to be neat and combed out. His most peculiar aspect although is his bright violet eyes that some would say their beautiful or one of a kind but at the orphanage he only gets bullied for them or called names for the fact which is probably why he tends to stay by himself on most days. His other features are pretty normal compared to the others, small nose with a small but thin type of mouth.

Alex didn't owe many items or clothes, so he could be see in the same two or three outfits daily. The first is a pair of dirt ridden jeans with a white tshirt and a faded red flannel jacket. The second and most frequent wore are a pair of black sport shorts and a light blue short sleeve shirt. The third was then just a pair of pajamas that the orphanage gave him and really he doesn't wear that much but somehow surprisingly gets dirty a lot more than his daily clothes.

A look on his personality and you'll see that Alex is on the surface shy and quie who prefers to stay alone and out of the lime light or any light in that fact. Alex prefers the darkness of inside then out in the sun and can almost never be found outside and even through Alex can almost always he found reading doesn't mean he's a nerd, geek, or book lover because he's not. Instead he reads because he has an imagination and dreams of places to and adventures to be on, the boy is almost always day dreaming which again is something others call him out for. He may a a day dreamer and avid reader but that doesn't mean he won't stand up for himself, Alex would more than likely call out insults and remarks when someone would tease or make fun of him which probably was how he happened to be in so many fights.
Alex is quick witted and cunning when it comes to insults but he's also quick with his feet and while he can throw a punch, he mostly runs away from fights since he's one of the fastest at the orphanage. Running away always seemed perfect to Alex since ever since he was mature beyond his years and took care of himself completely and even tried a few times to run away and live on his own since he's also independent and never relied on others before actually he made a promise to himself to never rely on anyone again after his uncle abandoned him.
Although he can't live on his own because yes he's underage but also while he's a natural born leader and isn't afraid to take charge, he also is curious about his family and the world around him and when he let's his curiosity lead then he mainly ends up finding trouble or getting into trouble which was how he ended up at Shell Cottage Orphanage.

Alexander Knighton history is difficult to explain although Alex doesn't know any of it besdies the fact that his parents died in a car accident when he was four and the only reminder of them his a rusty gold coin with strange symbols burned on it tied to a rope that he always keeps around his neck and hidden.
Alex also knows about his mother's brother or his uncle who's a alcoholic that can't keep a job, he took care of him and his younger brother until Alex e was six and Henry was 2 when their uncle decided the state money he was getting for the two wasn't enough and dropped them off at a orphanage and since then Alex swore never to rely on anyone ever thing.

The history he doesn't know is his parents; Arthur Knighton and Isabella Florence - Knighton both come from opposite but large families. Isabella Florence comes from a large wealthy and sometimes considered royalty family where it was expected of the males or elders in the family to continue the family business which was in rum and other types of alcoholic, which also explains her younger brother; Joseph Florence problem with drinking. Isabella however didn't want to go down that path so she left when she turned 25 and never looked back in search of some adventure when she met Arthur Knighton.
Arthur was named after a ancestor known as king Arthur, yes his ancestors were kings and heros at a time but after a few centuries after the great King Arthur, the Knighton family fell to poverty and started a life of farming.

Arthur grew up the middle child with three older brother and two younger sisters which left him to be forgotten offended and gave him more time to fuss over the king arthur books with dreams that he will pull the sword from the stone so when the boy was only 17 he left home and from there on struggled with life and at times went to sleep either hungry or cold. Eventually through he met Isabella Florence and the two instantly fell in love as they started dating two months after they met then two years later got married only a month later giving birth to their son Alexander Knighton and then in a little less than five years they would have their younger son Henry Knighton

Isabella and Arthur loved their son more than life itself and would do anything to protect him but just like his son, Arthur's curiosity got the best of him as he still searched for the sword in the stone and poked his nose in places where they shouldn't be. When Alexander was merely four years old, Arthur found the sword in the stone in ancient ruined that he believed was Camelot. So the couple and their sons went to claim the sword but that's when things went bad, Arthur pull the sword out of the stone yes but that's also when a group of followers of the underworld ambushed them and the small family only had one chance to run to their car to get to safety.

Isabella hid Alex with his brother in the backseat of the car as Arthur tried to fight them off but died at their hands which gave them a opportunity to take the sword for themselves, Isabella wanted revenge for her husband so she snatched the sword and stabbed it back in the stone which angered the attackers causing them to kill her as well. Not being able to pull the sword out and not seeing Alex, the attackers left and it seemed like everyone forgotten about little Alex hiding their in the car. After a few hours through a older couple found Alex and took him to the police station as they figured his parents crashed the car and either died or abandoned him since no bodies could be found but luckily after a few day's of searching the police from Alex's parents dead near by coming to the conclusion of a car accident.

However the sword and the stone were missing and until now never to be seen again by eyes well at least that's what most believe, the attackers however never knew about Alex but on the boy's thirteen birthday when he finds a piece of his family history that will set off a scent alerting them of the boy but others already have a watch on the boy and are waiting for their plan to be set in stone with the boy.

Main Plot
The main plot of the story is known throughout but doesn't start to take action until around the middle of the story, but for the first part and longest time Alex's main plot is finding out who he is and who his family is. A orphan growing up with no memories or knowledge of their family besides a alcoholic uncle and almost picture like flashes of his parents is bound to be curious who he was and where he's from.

Alex's family plays a bigger part then he can imagine since he is the only living person that can pull excalibur from it's stone because in his veins flows the blood of knights and kings like the great king Arthur that also pulled the sword so thanks to his father, he to has that power to pull the sword from the stone but with power like that comes danger. His parents didn't know of the unforeseen danger of pulling excalibur from it's stone so when his father did and the two celebrated with glee that they finally got the sword, they had no idea that someone was watching them or waiting for them to pull excalibur from it's stone and release the power it held.

The king of the underworld; Hades wanted excalibur for himself to destroy all light magic so he sent his followers to spy on the family and wait for them to pull the sword from the stone, when they did all his followers had to do was take excalibur and kill the family if they got in the way but his followers failed their task since not only did they kill the one person that can pull excalibur from it's stone, they also let his wife stick it back in the ground and to top it all off they let the stone out of their sight allowing a third and mysterious party to take the stone where the sword sat and hide it as they already knew that Alexander Knighton was alive and when the boy came of age he would be able to pull the sword from the stone like his father did.

So has Hades grew impatient as he sent followers from earth to find the sword and minions from the underworld to assist them as he no longer felt that humans were capable of completely tasks on their known now. But as the year's past and Hades aged and felt the dark magic within him and the underworld fade and start to die out, he became more restless than ever to find excalibur and desotry all dark magic with it before someone else got hold of it and destroyed all dark magic which could be catastrophic for Hades. However he had a slight change in plans, while his followers and minions searched for excalibur which he knew was stuck in a stone and only a specific person can pull it out while all others that try will feel a burning sensation then turn to dust. So Hades made it his task to find a person worthy enough to pull excalibur from it's stone but so much hadn't had much luck for everyone he found couldn't have pulled excalibur from it's stone and Alex not being of age yet is impossible to find since there seems to be some sort of magic protecting the boy until he's of age and can pull the excalibur from it's stone. However when Alex turns 13 or of age and that magic protecting him fades, that will allow Hades to find him and send minions to keep a watch on the boy to be sure that this time they get the sword and don't mess up at before, they may have gotten a second chance but there's no say that they will get another one after Alex.

Alex however knows nothing about this and is completely oblivious to Hades but he will eventually find it out and the quest that his parents had been on the night that they died. When Alex finds this quest, he will form a team of orphans similar to the knights of the round table and set their own quest to find excalibur before Hades which won't be easy for the kid's but easier than Hades since for then Excalibur rests in the attic of Shell Cottage Orphanage where its waiting for him to pull and release it from it's stone. When he does however, Alex will need to join the other outcasts at the orphanage to stand against Hades and prevent him from destroying the sword which will require the biggest sacrifice that Alex will ever need to make but will he make it or find a easier or better way to prevent Hades from fulfilling his plan and save the outcasts of the orphanage that will become his friends.

There is a final part of this plot however, the last part and key to this story is the head caretaker who knew much more than she let's off. She has excalibur in it's stone in the attic of Shell Cottage for she was there that night that Alex's parents were killed and he became a orphan. The head caretaker; Elizabeth Edwards was a strict lady whom none knew her history or personal life which was a good thing because while many would think she is the villain here, she is actually an hero. Giving off villain vibes and always treating Alex the worse, Elizabeth is actually the lady of the lake which explains how she was able to obtain excalibur and move it to the attic of Shell Cottage. Before searching for Alex and finding him because from the moment he stepped into Shell Cottage a power magical protection spell was casted above him to prevent Hades and his minions or followers from finding him at least until he turns 13 or of age when he needs to pull excalibur from it's stone but why is Elizabeth helping him, what is in it for her?

Elizabeth Edwards or the lady of the lake was sworn to protect excalibur no matter what so when she watched Alex's parents die that night and the sword end up back in the stone, she knew that she needed to keep that sword and boy hidden so he could fulfill his destiny and finish the quest that his father was on and affects every living creature and person in and around England.

Subplot

The first sided plot of the story includes something that will contribute to the main plot which is throughout the story Alexander Knighton will research and look for information on his family and history. Throughout his life as a orphan Alex always took every opportunity to research and try to discover his family history but unfortunately most of these ended up as dead ends where Alex didn't find much or the only thing he did find was trouble which led him to move around a lot until they finally declared the boy as trouble and stuck him at Shell Cottage Orphanage which would turn out would be the perfect place for him to be to find out about his family. However he does have a gold rusted coin attached to a rope that he keeps around his neck and he found out that the coin didn't belong to any known civilizations since it was from Camelot unknown to Alex but while that seems useful it didn't bring him any closer to knowing his history yet however that will change soon for him, question is if he really wants to find out his history or not and how far he's willing to go for it.

The second sided plot is Alex lived with bullies and daily had to tolerate name calling and teases from others about his eyes and life as a orphan but that didn't mean Alex just sat there and took the abuse, he almost always talk back to or insult the ones that bullied him which wasn't always a good thing since when he did that it provoked others to physically bully him and he would almost always find himself in fights or with black eyes which was another reason why they declared Alex as a trouble kid. Now at Shell Cottage Orphanage for five years, since arriving at 9, Alex found himself a few bullies who offended like to tease him or give him the occasional black eye and with Alex reflexive insults toward them things never looked good for him.

One person who Alex despises the most is Clive. The boy arrived four years before Alex and he still hadn't figured out how the boy hadn't bee arrested yet. Clive been a orphan since birth now 15 is known to vandalize stores and homes as well as shoplift not to mention beating up younger kids like Alex, well especially Alex for some reason probably because Alex is the only kid that insults him or speaks back to him. Anyway every chance Clive gets at the orphanage he makes sure to let Alex know that he's a freak or idiot by calling him names, doing pranks to him, and punching him in the face which happened to be Clive's favorite activity at the orphanage. Clive was probably the reason Alex chose to stay hidden in the home or on his bed all day reading, not like he was afraid him. While he did receive a black eye or blood nose from the kid and was offended called names from him still didn't mean he was afraid of him and in fact he wasn't which was why every time Clive would tease him or bully him, Alex would insult him and talk back which was what usually caused Clive to punch him in the first place.

Still after living with Clive for a few years, Alex is more than determined to stand up to Clive and instead ending up with a blood nose himself, to give Clive on or a black eye or anything really just to show Clive why he should pick on the smaller kid's and also in hopes that he stops bulling or teasing Alex. Conquering his bully was definitely high on his list and seemed reachable since he already wasn't to afraid of the boy and was brave enough to talk back or stand up to him and he really just needed to work on his strength and muscles so he could punch Clive right in the nose even through that can make things worse, Alex doesn't care and only wants to revenge himself and every other kid Clive pick on.

The last sub plot is Alexander Knighton is used to being alone, he spends more time avoiding contact with people that it's not even funny so when the opportunity comes up to form a group of people for this adventure, Alex just scoffs at the idea of teaming up with others or befriending someone else at the orphanage since almost everyone there either avoided Alex because they thought his eyes looks weird or creepy or they avoided him because they knew that Clive hated him the most and offended teased or bullied him and they didn't want Clive to bully them so they kept their distance, although at most time it was both actually and Alex never minded. He actually enjoyed being alone with his thoughts, he had more time to read and work on his plan to find out who he is and his family history.

There were times that Alex sometimes felt lonely or jealous of the others who laughed or befriend each other but Alex ignored those feelings and them.in general as be kept himself hidden and built himself a reputation of a loner, antisocial, or a mental person which Alex never minded and sometimes he would use those reputations to frightened the younger kid's to stay away from him which worked better than he thought until the week before his birthday a new boy arrived at the orphanage who was already thirteen but freakishly tall and smart which caused Clive and everyone else to constantly bully him or stay away from him. Alex didn't notice much except no one was bothering him anymore or they left him alone a lot more offended which Alex loved but things didn't stay that way for long since him and the new kid; Merlin even through they didn't exactly become best friends at the start. After a few meetings and talks, the two became closer friends and was found almost always together which Clive found perfect as well as others who billed the pair but luckily Alex spoke up for the both of them and wasn't afraid to insult anyone and Merlin would offend get his newfound friend out of trouble which made them the perfect team.

The two them plus a few other outcast orphans would somehow find each other and bond or hang out as they developed a friend group among each other and wouldn't suspect much until those friendship ties ate tested with Alex's adventure one that he will be dreading but yet looking forward to.

Side Characters

Merlin is a abnormally tall and skinny thirteen year old at 5'9. The boy is also freakishly pale which is a genetic thing and nothing to do with the fact he prefers to stay inside than out and he's also super smart and known around the orphanage as a mini genius. Merlin first became a orphan when his father left when he was only a infant and his mother dropped him off at one when he was seven, he remembered her saying that she couldn't take care of him and now he was giving him a chance.
Merlin grew up and the weirder he look as well as his smarts grew the more children bullied him, Merlin was then used to being alone and perfered it that way since he got to read and grow his knowledge even more except there was one thing, odd or weird occurrences or incidents would happen around Merlin whenever he was frighten or nervous which is something that Merlin still can't describe.
By appearance Merlin is a tall boy of thirteen at 5'9 along with be freakishly pale he also has brown hair that covers his forehead and dark chocolate brown eyes. He looks pretty normal besides the pale and height part but he also hidden from most has small scars and scabs along his hand from the experiment's he does at the orphanage.
His personality is at exactly shy since he would like to socialize with others but quiet compared to the other's. He's also a nerd or geek to say the least since he adores books and learning and would spend all day doing it just to get out of his current place. Merlin is also kind and offended caring toward others which is seen a lot, even though others bully him he isn't afraid to help someone out or offer them a hand. Preferring to listen than speak and offended avoiding trouble with his smarts it's no wonder him and Alex become best friends.
Merlin doesn't really know much about his family besides from his parents and a few uncles, aunts, and cousins. The part that he doesn't know is that far back in his history shows that his ancestors had magic and were wizards/witches which he inherited and with Alex's help, he will discovered his magic and learn how to use it so he could help Alex in his quest.

Clive is a 15 year old muscular and large boy who has a reputation of causing trouble both in and out of the orphanage. The boy been a orphan since birth bascaily and he arrived at Shell Cottage a few years before Alex but he caused a lot more trouble then Alex or anyone can. Clive spends his day's with a small group of rule breaking boy's who enjoy running around and causing chaos like Clive. When he's not doing that then Clive either shoplifts something or punches a younger and smaller kid.
By appearance he is a large kid wiry pretty large muscles and a clean shaved head, his skin is pale beyond normal and his eyes are a darker shade of brown then most. On most days he wears jeans with a white tank top both extremely old and a bit ripped, along with a few gold necklaces and rings that he stole but since he never got caught got to keep them.
By personality Clive is a ruthless boy who isn't afraid to do what he wants or get what he wants. He's independent and believes that he needs no one, turning to fights and trouble as a way to escape his terrible life. He sometimes feels bad but then remembers that he had it worse and in the end doesn't care what happens to him or where he goes.
His backstory is unknown to him and everyone else, the only thing he "knows" is that he was dropped off at a fire station as a infant and his family didn't want him but he never cared and now he doesn't want a family and he doesn't want anyone around him who even slightly cares for him.

Kay is a thirteen year old girl who lost her family in a fire at the age of eight making her a orphan, she offended rebel and went against the norm of the world which classified her as a troubled orphan and by the age of eleven moved her to the Shell Cottage orphanage where she met her two best friends; Lance and Tristan making the three inseparable.
By appearance Kay is avenger size at 5'2 for her age and the oldest of her friend group which has a few benefits. She has long waved blonde hair that falls to the center of her back with clear blue eyes that seem to scream with adventure. She's a bit pale but on most days quite tan from staying out all day with her two best friends but overall she is quite a attractive girl not that Kay ever cared or spoke about it. She mostly either wears cut off jeans or long jeans paired with a white tank top and a jean jacket or a light blue short sleeve shirt with a black hoodie that was originally her older brother's.
By personality Kay is a social and out spoken girl, not afraid to stand up for her friends or speak up for what's right. She kind and understanding, she knows what to say and how to say it in situations and also in times of needs she knows how to encourage others. Kay unlike most is a tomboy who enjoys mischief and playing out with her friends, she can almost always be seen laughing and keeps a positive outlook on life.
Her backstory isn't special like the others but she knows it since she was never given up or left as a infant. Her mother; Ivy Thompson was a nurse at the local hospital and Kay was ever so close to her, she loved her mother more than life which explained why the to were always together. Her father; Andy Thompson was a high school history teacher and Kay wasn't as close but she always dreamed of taking his class one day while in high school. Her older brother; Ben Thompson was 12 when he died and he was smart, he was in all advanced classes and never had anything below a 89 but he also loved his little sister and the two were almost always together. He spent most days playing or reading again, but no matter what the two were inseparable for a time. Her final family member was her younger sister; Jessica Thompson who was only four when she died and truthfully Kay didn't know her well or spend too much time around her. The rest of her family wasn't special or held hidden secrets but in reality were just a normal family and history, nothing odd or exciting.

Lance a twelve year old who acts before he thinks and runs into situations face first. He's 5'3 making him exactly one inch taller then Kay but also year younger than her. He never care to know his family or history like the most probably because he felt like his whole life he has been a orphan since from what he knew; his mother had him accidently and didn't know his father so when he was born that exact minute she gave him up with nothing not even a surname, only a first name which was Lancelot or Lance for short. After arriving at Shell Cottage and spending years alone, finally at the age of 10-11 he has two best friends; Kay and Tristan now making the three inseparable and almost like siblings.
Lance by appearance is a avenge looking boy with messy brown hair and chocolate brown eyes as well as tan like skin from staying all day out in the sun. He wasn't exactly muscular but he was skinny and physically fit so much so that you can he's strong and works out daily. On most day's Lance is seen wearing black shorts along with a short sleeve faded green shirt and a tan, safari color like jacket.
By Personality Lance is reckless and acts before he thinks, he's not that smart but he's confident and brave which can be a bad thing at times. He speaks his mind whenever presented the chance and isn't afraid to throw a punch if necessary which explains why he almost always ends up with a black eye.
He works out everyday and has a love for sports that can't be replaced by anything but he also has a curious side and isn't afraid to investigate or help with a adventure.

Tristan is a twelve year old boy who relies on his smarts more than anything else. His timid nature and smartness is almost a wonder how he was even considered to be a trouble youth but it was a good thing he was since he found his two best friends; Lance and Kay. Tristan has been a orphan since the age of six when his father died from a car accident and his mother having little education and making less and less each year, gave up her child to have a better life.
By appearance Tristan is a short boy at 5'1 and quite skinny to which makes him a target fro bullies and name calling. He has straw blonde like hair that falls to the end of his ears along with hazel brown eyes and pale skin that again at most times are tan because of all the time he spends outside. On most day's he's wearing jeans with a white short sleeve shirt and greenish jacket that is a bit to large for the small boy.
By personality Tristan is a small quiet and timid boy that doesn't speak out and hides away from the fight. He relies on his brains and is one of the smartest at the orphanage, his mind definitely made up for what he lacked in strength. He offended relied on facts and logic then imagination and at most times he was the groups voice of reason and would stop them from doing anything too stupid. However he was also curious and while he wasn't brave even in the slightest of way, Tristan would still embark on a adventure for knowledge and curiosity.
His history is different from others, he knows of his father a bit since he still has a picture of him and knows that his mother gave him up because she was living in poverty but he doesn't know any other family members not that he cared but he was and still is curious. He would like to know more about his family and maybe even see his mother again since he never blame her for giving him up and actually he studies so hard so he could get somehow to make her proud and show her that he did it, he made himself a better life.

Even through it's the same name of my HIO PC, I had this story overview/summary in my head for a while and I borrowed it for HIO
Henry Knighton is a nine year old boy who doesn't know much about his family, since becoming a orphan before the age of one then being placed in separate homes of his older brother at the age of 6. Henry was used to being on his own but that didn't change the bond him and Alex share. The two are closer than most brothers and even after years a part they still love each other very dearly.
By appearance Henry his short in height, standing at 5 feet and a quarter inch. He had brownish hair and hazel like eyes that resemble his mother's. He had pale skin which burns more easily than most which explains why he is always inside. Henry mostly wear jeans, a long sleeve light blue sun shirt, and his roundish glasses. Henry is near sighted and also a bit far sighted so since he could remember, he always had glasses.
By personality Henry depends on books and learning, he knows almost every fact you can think of and is almost found reading. He adores books and isn't afraid to use his knowledge to help his brother although he also is used to getting bullied for the fact but he never learn to speak up for himself or fight back. Instead he runs or tried to, as he's a very frightened and shy boy. Henry mostly stays behind or more like hides behind Alex in the face if danger or when he's afraid. He sometimes stutters and in most situations he becomes worried or panicked as he clings to his brother for comfort.

Hades is the lord of the underworld and younger brother of Zeus and Poseidon. Hades is the main villain in this story and is especially to go against Alexander Knighton. His power is draining in the underworld but his followers are growing so he searches for the excalibur to destroy all light magic and grow his power to eventually overpower his brothers. However he needs a Knighton to pull the sword from the stone so he's been searching for Alexander for a while now and still haven't found him but when he turned 13 then the spell will be broken and he could find the boy.

The head caretaker at Shell Cottage Orphanage; Elizabeth Edwards or the lady in the lake is a beautiful lady compared to other that at times don't even look real. However even though she protects Alex and Excalibur she still is strict and cruel to the orphans that results in almost everyone hating her however when the time is right she will tell Alex is destiny and let him pull Excalibur from it's stone before sending the boy off with his fellow knights to defeat Hades and complete their quest.
