Born in London, England, she is the second and youngest child in a Muggle family. She went to the same school as her sister, Violet, and loved reading, music, and family-time. She got a good education, and was going into 6th grade. Ruby first discovered she had magic when she was 10, and singing in her families garden. The flowers around her started to grow bigger as she moved her hands, making her initially freak out. But then she calmed down and lowered her voice and hands, making the flowers shrink. Her sister was excited when Ruby told her family, and was very proud of her. She then started practicing her magic, harnessing it so it wouldn't explode out on her family. She is the only living witch in her family, and none of her family knows if or who was one before her. She received her letter on February 9th, her 11th birthday, when a professor knocked on the door and told her surprised parents and sister what a witch is. He also explained she would have to go to a different school, but she had the option to come back for holidays. Ruby comforted her family saying she would always come back, and she would never leave forever.
