Tips & Tricks for Big Group Thread
Hi everyone,

Could I please ask for any tip or trick to participate accurately in a big group thread, such as the current Broom Race and Broom Race Spectators?

I mean, I would say it is impossible for me (and perhaps for any other players out there) to read each and every reply posted by other players, especially when their characters are not interacting with mine. However, I'm concerned if I'd miss anything if I skip reading them.

I'd really appreciate if you would kindly share the tricks/tips of participating accurately in a big group RP without having to read all replies - perhaps particularly if you're familiar with joining this kind of thread.

Thanks in advance. Any tip you'd kindly share with me would be very helpful.

Hello! I'd recommend reading the first page, finding a character you'd be interested in interacting with, then going to the latest page and try reading perhaps, the last two posts of the character and then if you're comfortable with wanting to interact with that character then make a post that tags them. It makes a lot of things easier when you tag people and they tag you so that you/they dont get lost and easily find the post.

A common system is the Interactons/actions thing, usually at the top of the bottom of each post it has something like:
Interactions: @Jane Victoria Actions: Spills tea on Jane Victoria
Sometimes, you can even add something called 'Mentions'which is basically where you tag people that you mentioned in your post but didnt interact with. For example, OP could be looking around a dance floor and admiring so-and so's clothes, so you'd also tag them. This can open possibilities to let the other know that they could perhaps interact with you too.
Interactions: @Jane VictoriaMentions: @Random HumanActions: Spills tea on Jane Victoria
A way to not get lost is to focus on a character and tags, tagging in big group threads are very important.

When it comes to the speactator threads and watching the broom races, you just read the latest posts/mod post from the Broom Race and kind of add that to your Spectator post while also interacting with another person.

I really hope this isnt confusing, I am quite terrible at explaining things.

@Jane Victoria

Hello! Thank you for taking your time to explain them to me, and no, they're not confusing!

So, to make sure that I understand everything correctly, the tricks are:
1. Tagging is necessary for communicating.
2. Simply scan to find a dialogue box at the top/bottom of each post to find out what others are doing, or trying to do.
3. Read moderator posts

Did I get them all complete and correct? : )

I find posting a lot and often in the thread helps, although don't feel pressured to do it. I just find it easier to write lots of 200 word posts than one 1000 word post haha.
For the race watchers thread, I just posted to say they were there and then didn't let them interact lol

@Lucia Fox Thanks, Lucia!

May I ask why it would be helpful to post often? I'm sorry if this question sounds silly. :sweatingbullets:

I mean, I do understand about the trick you wrote about posting in Race Watcher threads to show that your PC and iNPC come; but what about the frequent posting in a big group thread? Is it for the convenience of others to read or ...?

Thanks in advance. : )

No problem!
Posting more often just means that it's easier to catch up with what's going on ^^
