The Wizard Family of Roelle

The Roelle family was the pure-blood line to some of the most knowledgeable, courageous and cunning wizards and witches of all time. The Roelle bloodline was both Italian and French, and they prided themselves on their culture, traditions, and most importantly their accomplishments.

Esmeralda Roelle was born the first child of Nicolo and Adalaide Roelle. Her father had quite a protective nature, as he saw a lot of darkness at his work as a Hit Wizard, where he was tasked with general law enforcement, dispatched to deal with high-profile arrests. Seeing the evil some people had inside them made him worry for his daughter’s well-being, as she was a generally curious witch, and would always wander off to places she wasn’t supposed to go. Her mother was loving, and was always open to Esmeralda’s wild nature. Her mother worked as an artist painting magical portraits, and Esmeralda admired her mother for her artistic eye.

She grew up in Marseille, France, and when she was of age, she attended Beauxbatons Academy of Magic in France. She was an especially gifted witch, and aspired to know everything she could possibly know about all forms of magic, using this drive to work towards her dream of becoming an Auror. She was unpredictable in her actions and her adventures, always wanting to live life to the fullest.

During her last year in school, her father was devastatingly killed while aiming to detain a dark wizard at work. When she heard of his passing, she kept her grief to herself, as she didn’t want to appear weak or vulnerable. She took the sorrow of her father’s death and put it into her studies and worked hard to achieve her ambitions. Once Esmeralda graduated from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, she began training to become an Auror, and she strived for the power of protecting the Wizarding World against exceptionally dark magic, as redemption for her father’s death.

The Muggle Family of Vaughn

The Vaughn family lived in West London where they enjoyed the simplicity of their muggle lives. The Vaughns were best known for their loyalty and sincerity amongst their neighbors, and gained great satisfaction from helping those in need.
Aaron Vaughn was born the middle child of Gabrielle and Phillip Vaughn. Aaron spent his entire childhood in London, learning the ins and outs of the cobbled streets, everyone knowing his name and watching him grow up into a fine young man. Him and his older brother, Daniel, attended King’s College School, a prestigious all-boys school, whereas their little sister, Freya, went to the all-girls Wimbledon High School.

Aaron enjoyed his simple life in London, playing with his siblings, studying hard to pursue his dream of becoming a journalist, and just growing up in a town that he adored. However, him and his parents never quite got along. They never quite understood him and could never bring themselves to accept his ambitions of becoming a journalist, traveling the world to report and write. As a result of this, he pushed them further away as he grew older, only being able to rely on his siblings.

He was a loyal friend and brother, always protected his older brother against any trouble he faced, making their bond unbreakable. As he began to grow into a teenager, his sister showed her support for Aaron’s wild dreams of exploring the world, and she became the one person Aaron could always talk to whenever he was feeling down. His siblings and him were inseparable, and they truly believed that nothing would ever come between them. When Aaron moved out to pursue his dreams of becoming a journalist, he travelled the world to report on global news, impacting the world of journalism for the better. He was passionate about his work, and became a friend to all he met.

The Parents

As Aaron was traveling around France, reporting on a story for work, he met Esmeralda. She captivated him at first glance, and Aaron put all of his efforts into pursuing her, however this task was not easy. Esmeralda was quite stubborn due to her fear of committing her love and being vulnerable to disappointment, however Aaron proved himself worthy, and they instantly fell in love.

Esmeralda joined Aaron on his travels for a while, until they decided to settle down in London to start a family. When arriving in England, Esmeralda joined Aaron for a visit to meet his family for the first time, but when Esmeralda informed them that she was a witch, they grew instant hatred towards her and forbade their relationship. Aaron had fought for Esmeralda, and had no intention of ever letting her go, so he left the muggle world and his family behind for love. They moved to Godric’s Hollow, and happily began their family together.

Childhood

Aurora was born on the chill summer night of August 9th, 2009. She was the second-born child of Esmeralda and Aaron, the first-born being their son, Romeo. Aurora’s childhood with her parents and her older brother was like a fairytale, filled with an endless stream of happy memories. Adventuring and learning the Muggle and Wizarding World alongside her family made Aurora open-minded to all possibilities, and she knew that she could do anything with the support of her family.

When Aurora was but the mere age of five, her mother tragically passed away moments after the birth of her younger brother, Caspian. After her death, Aurora, her siblings and their father moved to live with her grandmother Adalaide in the Southeastern town of Marseille in France.

Aurora first knew of her magical capabilities on the very first day she was in France. With her family entirely preoccupied with the moving process, Aurora had some time on her own to explore around her grandmother’s house, also known as her new home. She led herself to a door, and when she opened it she discovered her mother’s childhood bedroom. Old posters, books, toys and clothes flooded the room, and Aurora became overwhelmed with her mother’s scent. Unable to contain her grief, Aurora burst into tears, and to her surprise, so did the entire room. Rain was falling from the ceiling, surrounding her entirely, and droplets of water were falling hard onto the surface of her mother’s belongings. The next thing Aurora could remember was her father’s tight arms around her, carrying her outside, away from the very room that she would later call her own.

During her time in France, she continued to hold her mother's memory close to her heart, and she very quickly became extremely close with her grandmother, who was a kind and thoughtful woman. Adalaide prided herself on teaching her grandchildren the inner workings of the magical world, more specifically telling them stories about magical creatures from her time as a magizoologist. Aurora and her brothers grew close as they explored France together, bonding over their shared passion for magic, partaking in adventures and creating memories that would last them a lifetime. They valued their family above all else, each member loyal, brave, ambitious and intelligent in their own unique way.
