The First Lesson
Interacting with @Jade SunshineLily left the Great Hall and began walking towards Transfiguration. There weren't many people there, and she sat down on the second row. When she got her quill and parchment out she began to read whilst the class filled up. She looked around at her classmates then at her timetable. Yes, she could see the green on the other students' robes. She had double Transfiguration with Slytherin. She sighed. Like this day couldn't get any worse.
And then it did.
There was only one seat left, and a girl with long ginger hair walked in, with a sour expression on her face. When Lily looked around the classroom she saw that the seat next to her was the only one left. This can't be happening. She told herself over and over again. There has to be some mistake. Where's Millie? She usually sits next to me. The girl sat down and got her things out. “Good morning - wait no - good afternoon, class! You all sound dead, so let’s start off with this: we’re gonna learn a spell today. So listen up!” the professor said.
The lesson continued, and Lily was struggling, just like she expected. She didn't belong here. She had spent the last fifteen minutes trying and failing to change her match to a needle. When she finally thought she had done it, she picked it up and found she had just made the match silvery-looking. It was hopeless.Banner by Lucia Fox

The First Lesson
Jade sauntered into her first lesson of the day, looking forward to showing off her skills. Unfortunately, the only seat left was next to a brown haired Hufflepuff, ugh, she sighed, she couldn't be doing with pathetic badgers. The professor finished her instructions and Jade pulled her wand out of her robe, prepared the matchstick and tapped her wand and uttered the spell. In a blink of an eye, there was no longer a match on the table but a long, thin, sislver needle! "Excellent work Miss Sunshine, maybe you could show Miss Cawthi here how to do it, she's struggling" The Cawthi girl, sat next to Jade, had only managed to turn her match a slight tint of silver, she was hopeless and was never going to make second year, Jay thought. "For God's sake you're doing it wrong, mudblood, you're waving your wand too hard, it's just a gentle tap. See! I've already turned 5 matches!" Jay was smug about her achievements, she would be an intolerable brat for the rest of her day, gloating about her success. "Are you sure you're even a witch and not just a Muggle like your parents? Have you mastered any classes yet, or are you a loser? Jade kept taunting Lily about her lack of magical talent, whilst showing off by converting another 5 matchsticks into perfect silver needles. Jade didn't think she needed to stay for the rest of the lesson having executed the spell marvellously, but she knew she couldn't leave halfway through so she sat there laughing at Cawthi's mistakes.

The First Lesson
Interacting with @Jade SunshineLily moaned. "For God's sake you're doing it wrong, mudblood, you're waving your wand too hard, it's just a gentle tap. See! I've already turned 5 matches!" The girl said harshly. "Are you sure you're even a witch and not just a Muggle like your parents? Have you mastered any classes yet, or are you a loser?" Perhaps she was right. Perhaps Lily was a muggle, just like her parents.
"I'm sorry. It's just all this." Lily began, with fear of the girl."I had no idea this place existed until my birthday, last January. We were all so surprised that a place like this existed. My parents were reluctant to first, but they let me come. I'm happy." Lily was trying to be kind to the girl, but she was having none of it."How do you do the spell anyway? It's really hard." The girl ignored her.
So Lily tried again, all whilst the girl laughed at her mistakes. She turned another five matchsticks into needles from the five she already had, muttering things like 'This is so easy.' and 'Stupid mudblood.' Lily felt ashamed. She had no idea what the word meant, nut she knew it meant nothing good. The girl hated her. To be honest, Lily did not really like her either, but her robes told her how to react to her.
"Um..." Lily did not know where to begin. "My name's Lily Rowenna Cawthi. What's yours?" she could already tell this was not going to go well.Banner by Lucia Fox

The First Lesson
@Lily Cawthi
"What does it matter to you, Cawthi, just call me your superior, I don't have time for making friends with filthy mudbloods like yourself" Jade was now wishing she'd got to class earlier so she could sit with the other Slytherins at the back, who all seemed to be having fun together whilst she was sat next to a useless Hufflepuff! Jade decided she'd had enough practice at turning the matchsticks so she picked up her class text box and started flipping through the pages to see what other things they'd be transfiguring later in the year. She read for about 10 minutes before deciding to show off her skills again, and combined with a spell learnt in Charms class, she made the needles float. Even after all of this time, Lily still had no needle. Jade was ashamed of the mudbloods and half-bloods affiliated with Hogwarts, she wished that all those years ago, Helga, Godric and Rowena listened to Salazar's wish and only accepted pure bloods into the school, but no, here she was sat next to one of Salazar Slyhterin's greatest detests. Jay didn't understand the concept of how a Muggle line could then have a magical being in the family, it was outrage in her eyes!

The First Lesson
Interacting with @Jade SunshineLily shed a tear. It was no surprise. It was only her second day and she had already made an enemy. Things definitely weren't looking up to her expectations.
"I'm sorry," she said to the girl. "I'm just trying to be nice. I didn't have any friends back in Cardiff." Lily tried to compromise with the girl, but it wasn't working.
"Serves you right, you filthy little mudblood." she powerfully said to Lily.
"I don't even know what that means!" Lily said back to her, and she was scared someone would hear them.
"It's no surprise, you're just a filthy little mudblood!" the girl said harshly to her.
"Please, I'm just trying to be nice to you." Lily replied. She just couldn't figure out why she was like this. "Please, tell me why you're like this? Is it something I did?" Lily really wanted to know now more than ever why the girl didn't like her.
Lily didn't like the girl now, and didn't care what anybody else thought of her. She didn't want to know. Lily had no idea who had and hadn't managed to do the task. All she knew now was that this girl was her new enemy.Banner by Lucia Fox
