Toilets Are Good For Thinking
Everyone has their thinking place. In the Common Room it was too loud to think. In the Library her thoughts constantly screamed at her because it was too quiet. The brunette turned the hallway this way and that and wandered into the supposedly Abandon Toilets. Sure she knew students still came in here, for whatever reason but she never caught them. Truthfully it was her first time in this location, she didn't patrol it or usually went anywhere near it. The place looked pretty rough to the naked eye and she wasn't a neat freak by any means but she shuddered at the state. It was eerily quiet and she didn't want her thought to swarm her once again so she walked over to the closest sink and turned on the faucet. With a squeak a stream of water shot out, but not in the way she wanted it to.
The girl had to duck to avoid being shot in the face by a jet of water before quickly turning it off. She moved over to the next sink and turned it on slowly this time, and slowly backing up just in case. Luckily this faucet behaved and she stood, staring into the cracked mirror. Her thoughts quieted down as she studied each of the unique cracks on the mirror. Something odd stopped her in her tracks. The brunette squinted at the mirror and saw two feet poking out from a stall. Was someone in here with her? Annie suddenly shut off the faucet and held her breath.
A soft sob was heard behind here where she saw the feet. Annie bit the inside of her cheek in thought but waved her hand in the air to clear the air. Someone was hurting and she would go comfort them. Annie pulled back the curtain slowly and saw a sad girl sitting on the toilet sniffling a bit. A maternal instinct came over her suddenly as she spoke softly to not startle the girl. "Hey there.. are you okay, er well that's not a good question to ask cause you obviously aren't. Do you want to talk to me about it?" Annie paused after asking the question. No that question was also stupid. Why would a young girl who she didn't know and didn't know her want to open up to her about her problems? She let ut a soft sigh realizing how stupid what she just said was. No no you're getting in your head again, just shut up and wait for her response before overthinking anything else.. Annie shook her head and shifted her weight to make her stance look less awkward, but not intimidating either.

Toilets Are Good For Thinking
Big, fat tears had been rolling down Katie's cheeks. She had been thinking on her parents, and just couldn't drop the water works. Why wouldn't her parents support her if she was any different than them? Katie hated keeping secrets from them, but knew that they would be furious with her if they knew that Katie no longer believed in the blood purity myth that they had raised her on.
Katie heard another girl enter the bathroom. Who are you? Katie asked, looking up at the older girl, who had asked he about how she was. As least the mystery girl had dune sense of know-how to know that it was highly unlikely for Katie to just open up to any random stranger. And what are you doing in my crying place? Katie asked snarkily. She wiped her eyes, and looked up at the stranger who'd enter. Normally, Katie would have been furious with the girl fire cunning in unexpected life that, but at the current moment, She waa to upset to care. All throughout the week, Katie forced herself to compartmentalize her emotions and feelings and maintain he Slytherin mask of neutrality. Unfortunately, that did catch up with her, and consequently, Katie had top let ask her tears about her awful parents out later at night on the weekends.

Toilets Are Good For Thinking
Annie saw the girl lift her head and give her a weird look before accusing her with a harsh tone. The brunette put her hands up in surrender. "Sorry, sorry my bad. It may be your crying place but I also heard that it's a good thinking place, so tell me, what's on your mind if you are okay with me asking and sharing with me?" She sat down slowly next to the girl, but respectfully far enough away so she wasn't encroaching on her space. "Ah, I'm Annie a Hufflepuff Prefect by the way, sorry for not introducing myself earlier. May I ask your name?"
She wanted to be calm and not overbearing to the young girl. It broke her heart that she was crying, over what, Annie didn't know. Could be friends, home sickness, family issues or what not. There were a lot of things to cry about, Annie knew that for sure. She'd had her fair share breakdowns at school for random reasons. "I know you might not trust me, but trust my words, bottling up your emotions isn't any better. I will promise to shut up and listen too if you do decide to share, or I could just ramble on for ages.." The girl teased, a small smile appearing on her face at what was an attempt to lighten the mood. Whether it works or not, who knows?

Toilets Are Good For Thinking
Should Katie tell the girl named Annie? She food seem to truly care? Ehh, but that was partly because she didn't know what was wrong. If Katie told her, and she was a pure-blood, she'd criticize Katie for not believing in pure-blood supremacy any longer. If Katie told her, and she was a half-blood or a muggle-born, she'd hate her for once believing her parents. She couldn't tell Annie, no matter what, she'd hate her.
Katie to Annie talk about bottling up her emotions, but what better solution was there than that? She had no-one e.g.she could really talk to about this other than he friend Siobhán, who'd mock her off she knew just how much it really bothered her. How deep under her skin it truly cut to have the knowledge about her parents that she did. Bottling up her emotions, as Annie called it, was not only the best, but also the only solution there was for Katie. She just had to hold her Slytherin mask for long enough for this Hufflepuff prefect to believe her, so she could go back to crying
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately depending on perspective), Katie couldn't hold her.uk well in this moment of vulnerability, and it was in so likelihood that Annie would notice the pain behind Katie's words.
Name's Katie, Katie Palsorette. Katie replied to the Hufflepuff prefect, And, and, and, she partially stuttered, holding back sobs, It's nothing really, I'm fine. Katie said, reaffirming herself more than Annie. Hey words had little conviction though, and wavered slightly.
