"Grandmère, I'm going to the Leaky Cauldron." The young girl said to her grandmother, who nodded.
"All right, I will be at Madame Malkins." Came the response, before Grandmère briskly walked off, leaving Jacqueline alone. The girl didn't mind though, really, if anything, she was glad she was by herself. Sometimes it was nice to get away from her grandmother and all the expectations that she had, especially now that she was in London with no one she knew except her. Smiling happily to herself, Jac walked down the street to where she knew the Leaky Cauldron was. The pub had an odd name, she realized, and laughed lightly to herself. She hadn't really thought about it before. . .
The girl's laugh had drawn attention from all around her, and more than one gaze lingered on her for multiple seconds. Jacqueline was beautiful, to say the least, even for an eleven year old. Her long blonde hair was loose and a few strands swung in the slight breeze. Her eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief, and almost anyone she directed her smile to blushed. It wasn't only how she looked that drew attention from others, it was the way she walked, so confident and sure of herself, her head tilted just slightly up and her gaze wandering. But Jac was used to all of this, and her expression stayed the same.
When she finally arrived at the Leaky Cauldron, the lovely french girl opened the door and stepped inside, looking from table to table for a place to sit. Finding one that seemed nice enough, right in front of a window, she sat down. Turning her gaze to outdoors, she failed to hear anyone approach her.

A blonde hair boy in nice pressed jeans with a short sleeve, nice pressed red shirt and white/black sneakers or trainers came walking down the stairs of the Leaky cauldron. As he walked past others, with his height and handsome features it gave the impression that he was older than he was, most would think he was 14 or 15 but in reality he was only twelve. His ability to look older than he was came with some perks like how he was staying at the leaky cauldron alone, well technically he ran from home when he couldn't handle his family anymore but the tween was staying alone whichever way you looked at it.
August 10th when a family reunion gone wrong happened and they blamed Charles like usual, so that night he had enough as he packed his bags and stole some.money before heading out to the Leaky cauldron. Luckily his family lived in Durham, England so one Knight bus ride away and he was at the leaky cauldron which wasn't half bad.
Over the days, the boy already met a few others mostly from beauxbatons but also a few from Hogwarts as well plus his constant owls to his two best friends; one who goes to Ilvermorny and the other who goes to beauxbatons, so living there till school started wasn't as bad as some would think and it wasn't that outrage that a twelve year old was staying by himself especially when that twelve year old looked like a 14 or 15 year old.
Charles was just going to grab a fire whiskey and head out to explore diagon alley or london but that's when he saw her, a blonde hair and almost blue eyed girl who walked into the leaky cauldron. Charles made his way to the bar as he flag down a sever and spoke in a British Russian accent " glass of fire whiskey," as the sever went to get his glass, another perk with looking like a 14 or 15 year old is he got to order things like fire whiskey. However Charles was watching the girl who made her way to a table in front of the window and after Charles paid for his drink, he held the fire whiskey in his hand and walked over to her.
Charles was a romantic and sometimes would come off to hard but other times he was a expert at flirting and his looks helped a lot with that to, Charles approached the young girl and gave his signature charming half smile before saying in a different but sort of the same former British Russian " excuse me miss but pardon me from staring, I couldn't help but noticed how beautiful you are," Charles placed his glass on the table and kept his finger tips on the rim with his charming half smile before continuing " would you mind some company, miss?"

"Excuse me miss, but pardon me from staring, I couldn't help but notice how beautiful you are." Jacqueline blinked, startled from her thoughts. Even before turning around, she could tell it was a boy who had spoken, maybe around her age. Upon turning, she noted that it was indeed a boy, and he was about her age, maybe a few years older. Jac raised an eyebrow. This wasn't uncommon, boys approaching her and saying something along the lines of what he had said. The french girl was sort of used to it. Of course, it still felt wonderful to get attention. The boy was very good looking too. . . well, it couldn't hurt, could it?
"Thank you," she said, giving him a dazzling smile. Her English was accented, and although the girl had learned only a few years ago, it was quite good. The boy set his glass down on the table and then asked if she would like some company. "That would be wonderful." she responded. "And please, call me Jacqueline." she added. The girl shifted slightly in her chair so that her full gaze was set upon the boy in front of her, something that made most people blush and look away. She wasn't sure if that was going to be the case for this boy, and she was curious to see what he would do. Sometimes boys got flustered near her - okay, fine, it happened all the time. Jac always stayed focused though.
After a few seconds of silence, Jacqueline lifted her gaze to look around the room. The pair had drawn some attention from a group of people a few tables away. They seemed to be whispering about the two. . . but after a raised eyebrow in their direction every one of them turned their attention to something else, most either the ceiling or the floor. This made the girl grin slyly to herself, and she forgot she had company for a few seconds.
When she finally remembered, Jac decided to start a conversation with him. It would be awkward for both of them if they just sat there, uncomfortable. "What brings you to London?" she asked. "My Grandmère brought me for a visit, but we're going back to France in about a week." she explained her own reason for being there.

When the girl accepted his offer and told him her name, Charles gave his charming half smile and lifted her hand up as he bended down a bit to let his lips touch her hand, gently before saying " Charles, charmed," he always was a romantic and bascaily perfected the craft of flirting as he picked up on hints of a french accent in her voice and thought about speaking in French but decided to wait a bit longer as he ran a finger around the rim of his glass but saw she was looking else where.
Charles looked where she was looking and saw a few guys looking to be around 16 or 15 staring at them. Charles watched them fluster because of Jacqueline but when they looked again the boy gave his typical Dumstrang stare which frightened the boy's away. Charles turned back to Jacqueline still with his confused smile as he thought of telling his best friend; Fyodor Prior about meeting with the French girl whom Charles guessed was a pureblood.
When she spoke again, Charles couldn't help but add in a cool and calm voice " France? Isn't that the city of love?" However hearing her ask why he was there made Charles smile his usual charming one before he didn't lie but he didn't tell the truth either as he spoke in a mix of British and Russian accent " unimportant, there's a lot that haven't been done but just you wait," that sounded good and not suspicious at all as he drunk his fire whiskey and didn't even flinch before speaking " can I buy you a drink?"
Charles waved over a sever as he spoke " a round of fire whiskey for me and the lady," Charles bowed his head to her a bit doing his best to act mature and as if he was 16 or 15.

As he was introducing himself as Charles, the boy sitting in front of her did something a little out of the blue. Bending down, he took Jacqueline's hand and let his lips touch the back of it gently. This was such an unexpected move that Jac, usually cool and collected, got slightly flustered. Her face turned ever so slightly red and the girl looked away, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
Jacqueline noticed Charles give the other boys who had been watching the two a hard stare, which seemed to scare them away. She smiled to herself, then tilted her head to one side as she looked back at Charles. He had a thoughtful look on his face, as if he was contemplating something. A beat of silence passed, then the boy finally said something. . . in French? When she responded, she spoke in her native language as well, wondering how much of it Charles knew. He clearly wasn't new to it, because he had said the words perfectly. Only his accent would give away that he wasn't fully French.
"Yes, France is considered the City of Love. But you knew that, did you not?" After a slight pause, she raised an eyebrow and added, "How long have you been speaking French for? You're quite good at it." When she asked him why he was in London, the first thing he did was give her that smile of his. Then he answered, but it wasn't the answer Jac had been expecting. What he said to her almost sounded like a quote from something. . . she was almost certain he hadn't made it up on the spot.
When the boy offered to buy her a drink, Jacqueline gave him a nod, and he asked the server for fire whiskey. "Oh, a pumpkin juice will do for me." She could tell Charles wasn't as old as he was acting, since many people thought she was a few years older than she was as well. But she wouldn't say anything, she'd done things like this before and would have hated for anyone to expose her act. Plus, Jacqueline was enjoying herself.
When their drinks arrived, Jac leaned forward to take a sip. She didn't usually like pumpkin juice, but for some reason she had wanted it today. Sitting up straight again, the young girl gave Charles another smile. "Thank you," she said to him, going back to speaking in French, the language she was most comfortable talking in.

Charles smiled a bit when Jacqueline told him about France being the place of love but also already knowing that in which he spoke again in French " maybe I did, maybe I didn't but would it matter miss,"when she mentioned his French Charles just gave his usual charming half smile and spoke " since I was a child living in France," it was true that Charles lived in France but only for a year or two. In truth he learned it at home with his family a part of his daily lessons but at the moment he wasn't about to talk about or even think about them.
Charles was a total romantic and could flirt with anyone as he watched the sever bring their drinks in which Jacqueline ordered a pumpkin juice. Charles dropped a few coins into the servers hand before turning to Jacqueline and saying " you strike me as someone who never been satisfied," again with a charming half smile before continuing " Your like me, I have never been satisfied."
Charles acknowledge her speaking with a half smile and nod before drinking one of the fire whiskeys and not flinching a muscle, as he started to run his finger around the rim of his glass smoothly he spoke " how long are you staying here for? I know a few places as beautiful as you that I would like to show you."
@Allie Lewis sorry for the wait, irl got complicated
