Falentra had been to the Magical Menagerie a few times over the years. Creatures of all kinds were something she had always found interesting. There were all types of cats, owls, rats and toads, even Pygmy Puffs too, but those things were just plain weird. None of the animals which presented her in the past drew Falentra into wanting one. Why buy an animal you had no connection with? Falentra may of been a cold person, but never was she cruel to an animal. She understood them on another level. It was just that on the occasions that the Slytherin had wandered the shop, there weren't any excitement, any connection or any particular animal that drew her close. At least, that was until today.

The girl was about to give up hope once again until she saw a small glass cabinet on the far end of the shop. She could have sworn it had never been there before. The light within the glass cage had flickered a few times, only drawing her attention closer. Within it would be a beautiful European Hairy Trapper. It's colours were magnificent. Vibrant oranges and reds mixed with hints of black just looked so mesmerizing in her eyes. Colours so bright that would normally draw her away, but this creature was something else. She couldn't take her eyes off him. And it seemed the same way for him. Both as intrigued.
''Hello there little Fella.'' Falentra would crouch to the spiders height and smile faintly, observing him further. ''You are somethin' aren't ya?'' Her fingers gently pressed themselves on the glass. The spiders two front legs would reach forward and press on the window in where her fingers rested. He would mimic her and his fangs would wiggle. Whether he was excited or showing off, Falentra's smile couldn't help but grow.

As the minutes passed, she would eventually call over to the shop keeper that was nearby. He would soon approach and Falentra would nod towards the glass cabinet, hinting that she wanted him. ''I'll take him.'' The keeper would nod hesitantly and follow to prepare a box for his departure. ''He's not so cheap lass, and he's quite the handful.'' He spoke with concern for the pair, although Falentra took it as an insult but decided not to bite for she was to focused on her new friend. ''Don't matter about the price. He's a beauty and I'll look after him.''
From the moment he was packed away, Falentra would hold out her arms to take a hold of him, finally being able to class him as her own. The Slytherin handed him the required amount the hurried out of the shop, just in case the keeper had any second thoughts. There was no chance anybody was going to take him off of her now. The first baby step was to show him Hogwarts, a home they would both be staying for sometime.
