Wands and Colleagues
Duelling was one of the things Aurelia was not allowed to participate in. It was not that she did not want to, but rather, it was in the contract. What contract exactly? It was that of her betrothal. The no-duelling rule was one set to protect her from harm, not that she was ever allowed to in the first place. Granted, duels were dangerous but they were brought a rare thrill that was similar to when she was on her speedy moontrimmer in mid-flight. But she was to respect the contract for she held the responsibility to ensure the success of the union of two families. Controversial it would seem, but that was the tradition of pureblood families like hers.
However, when the notices on the recruitment of duelling captains popped up along the halls and boards, Aurelia had found herself sending in an application. The advertising had beckoned her like a moth to a flicker of flame. She was already the leader of a spell based club and it was not to her surprise when it was revealed that she had gotten the position of Co-Captain. Yet despite her position, the fourteen year old would not be breaking her contract. Although she was very much a potential duellist, she would not be putting herself directly in harms way, at least not through duelling. Little did her parents know, she had already signed up for the dangerous sport of quidditch.
She was now a co-captain, a leader of sorts and the respect that it might entail from her position was enticing. It was a status that perhaps she could someday rub in the face of the Quidditch superior whom she despised, Rafael D'Spacito. Granted, she was not captain, but she was satisfied enough with the position she had.
It had been a week since she came to know about her new position and the superior role given a boy with the name Allister-Jameson, a second year. As a fourth year, Aurelia never really got to know many first years the year before and the name only coming to her as vaguely familiar. Then again, if this boy was someone whom she was to be working with. not to mention her superior, then she ought to at least get to know him. Today, she was doing just that. Aurelia had sent him a simple note the night before, requesting for them to properly meet. As much as the girl would like to believe otherwise she did care of what others thought of her. At the courtyard, one of the stone benches, Aurelia would wait.

Dear Allister-Jameson,
We have not at all properly met, but you might have heard of the duelling leadership positions and me as your co. It would be lovely for us to get to know each other, after all, I am supposed to work with you. Meet me at the courtyard at 5, bring your wand.
Regards,
Aurelia Notresvace.
