Next stop: Farewell station

Aurélie woke up to a hot summers day. Her flannel pyjamas were too warm but she wore them because it could get quite chilly at night. Warm yet humid air filled her camping tent which made Aurélie sweat. Pff it’s way too hot in here. The girl tried to untangle her untamed, curly hair but after a few failed attempts, she twisted her long hair into a bun and held it in place with a hair stick. The hair stick was made from oak wood and had elegant carvings on the end that stuck out of her hair. After getting her manes out of the way, the student changed into her clothes for the day. She opted for a comfortable outfit as she would be returning home and therefore spend a long time on a train. A black pair of leggings matched with an oversized graphic t-shirt. To pull the look together she wore her black studded boots.
Before returning home from the summer camp, Aurélie had to pack her things and say goodbye to the students and staff members still at the camp. She had already packed most of her stuff the night before so she wouldn’t have to stress about it today. After organizing the last of her things, she put on a black raincoat, fetched her luggage and backpack, then made her way out. Aurélie reached the open space on the camping site where most people were saying their goodbyes. The girl hadn’t met many students so she had no one to say goodbye to. However, she suddenly spotted a familiar face in the crowd. It was the boy from Slytherin she had met at the Quidditch game. Henry Knight. They had become friends during the summer camp and attended the celebration party together. She hadn’t seen him much after that so she was glad she had a chance to speak to him before she went home.
Aurélie wheeled her luggage over the dirt and fallen leaves and sticks. When she reached Henry she set it aside and dropped her backpack on top to get rid of the extra weight for a while. As she walked towards him she raised her voice a bit and yelled; “Hey! Morning Glory!” She called him by a nickname she gave him the first time they met. It was a reference to his charming blue eyes because they reminded her so much of a blue flower called ‘morning glory’. As Aurélie approached the soon-to-be second-year, she felt her heart starting to race faster and her palms getting sweaty. For some reason it always happened when she saw Henry. He didn’t make her nervous really, it was the opposite actually. He had a calming effect on her but the first minutes she got the jitters, every time. If she didn’t know better, she would think she had butterflies in her stomach but that couldn’t be it.. Could it? Aurélie shook the thoughts from her mind and smiled at her friend. Now, she stood in front of him and asked; “How are you? It’s been while since I saw you. Since the party, right?”

That day was more humid then most day's, the feeling all around also felt odd. It was the last day of the summer camp, little did he know that was also the last day of his innocent life or childhood. Henry felt weird around his tent mates that day even through they were also both his friends, he basically packed all his stuff yesterday which was pretty easy thanks to his older brother who cast a extension charm on his trunk in the beginning of his first year.
After setting his trunk and messager type bag in the main room of the tent, Henry changed out of his worn out and oversized blue pajamas into his worn out jeans, worn out long sleeve grey shirt, and his faded greenish jacket. Henry ran a hand through his hair to push it back before stuffing his blue pajamas into his trunk then closing it again. Henry took one final look at his tent which made the boy smile a bit, Henry placed his messager type bag on his shoulder before dragging his trunk to the entrance and stopping as he looked around the tent for the last time as memories started to wash over him.
Henry remembered that first time going into that tent, he was with his best friend as he was getting ready to amazing summer, then when he learn their other tent mate was another friend, before going to the other events and meeting new or old friends there. All and all that summer was one of the best that the twelve year old boy ever had, he was more than happy that he decided to go and he didn't expect to feel so weird when he had to leave but here he was, leaving the tent alone, how times change.
Henry pulled his trunk from his tent to find a large coward of people saying good bye to friends or heading back home, Henry made his way through the coward and eventually got to the open part of the site. He didn't see any friends so he continued on the way to where his family, more likely where his brother will be before he heard a voice call out his nickname. Henry turn and saw Aurélie as he smiled and call out his nickname for her in french like always " hello there golden baker."
Henry smiled at her, he was always glad to see her and for some reason always felt comfortable and peaceful around her. He couldn't help be awkward or odd around her but as he listened to her something else was brewing in him as he listened to her. Henry then continued to walk toward the entrance to where the parents or families will be as he spoke " I'm fine, yeah I think so. How are you Aurélie?"

Aurélie felt gleeful she bumped into Henry on her way. They probably wouldn’t see eachother until the first day of school. Except her birthday in Diagon Alley, if he came then she would see him but that wasn’t certain. “I’m alright. I’m glad I can go home to be honest. I had fun here but Nanna is ill and she needs me home. Is your dad picking you up?” Aurélie noticed Henry walked towards the entrance of the camp, where he would probably get picked up. So she quickly grabbed her luggage and followed him since she was going the same way.
Before they walked off the camping site, Aurélie looked back once more at the diversity of big and smaller tents. People taking them down and cleaning up around the camp. Students of different houses were hugging and saying goodbye to each other before meeting their parents and family. Most seemed upset the camp was over. Some seemed relieved they could go home. Aurélie had been a little homesick during the camp. She wasn’t used to being away from home for so long but that was something she would have to get used to when she attended Hogwarts. The girl glanced around the crowd and smiled softly. I will most likely see most of these people at Hogwarts. I will meet so many new friends, well hopefully.. Aurélie looked back at Henry and listened to him speak as she dragged her luggage across the ground. It was not the easiest task since all sorts of leaves and sticks got stuck in the wheels of her case which left them very uncooperative. She somehow managed to make it work and when the pair finally reached the pick-up spot, Aurélie set the case down and took a breath.

Henry started walking again as he saw Aurélie walking besides him, Henry pulled his trunk behind him while his messager type bag sat on his shoulder. Henry listened to Aurélie talked and smiled at her, when she finished however he took a breath before starting to speak " I hope your Nanna is okay or I hope she gets better at least," Henry continued to walk but he gave the girl a smile as those around them were saying good bye to friends or making their way to the drop off area. Henry then turned to look in front of him before speaking again " my father is probably busy with ministry stuff like usual, so he won't be picking me up," Henry never minded the fact anyway since he never been that close to his father however he was close with his older brother as Henry smiled before speaking " but my brother is probably waiting for me, my twin might be but it's more difficult to tell with her," Henry thought about his twin sister and ever since their 11th birthday when his hogwarts letter came but her's didn't it was strange that only one twin went but while they never been close, it seemed like they were growing a part by the day since that day.
Henry couldn't to pulled his trunk while walking next to Aurélie, eventually he made it to the pick up spot or entrance of the campsite with Aurélie. Henry looked around and saw tearful goodbyes between friends or joyful reunions between families but he couldn't see his brother probably because it was a bit to cowarded and Henry figured he could wait a bit away as he set his down and look at Aurélie before speaking " so who's picking you up then or how are you getting home Aurélie?"

Aurélie smiled softly at Henry when he spoke about Nanna. “Yeah, me too..” Aurélie wasn’t exactly worried that Nanna wouldn’t pull through. She was a strong woman and this was just an ordinary flu, she thought. As the boy continued to tell Aurélie about who was picking him up, she replied; “Oh, that’s right. You have an older brother, right? Does he drive a car already?” Aurélie thought of things she could talk about with Henry because she didn’t really want to say goodbye yet. She wouldn’t see him, or anyone from camp for that matter, until school started in September.
Responding to Henry’s question about how she’s getting home, Aurélie answered while absently brushing some dirt off her shoe with the other shoe. “I’m going to take the train home since Nanna can’t come pick me up. I just have to find a way to the station but it’s not too far from here so I’ll probably walk there. The weather is still nice so...” Aurélie paused shortly to think about another topic, then proceeded: “Are you glad you can go home? I had fun here, definitely after meeting you hehe, but I’m glad to go home to be honest. I never go on trips or go away from home much so I was a little bit homesick this last week.”

Henry just nodded and smiled a bit when Aurélie spoke, he enjoyed talking to the girl. He always felt calm and like he could be himself around her which was odd for the boy who grew up a outcast and would distant himself during his second year for another reason that was unknown to the boy at the time. Henry looked up at Aurélie when she spoke and was a bit confused by it as he spoke a bit low " a car?" Henry then remembered that they were the muggle transportation vehicle that wizards or witches sometimes enchanted to fly, he have heard that the ministry had their own "fleet" of flying muggle cars. Henry then quickly continued before she could speak again " that's a muggle vehicle right? There's rumored that the ministry has a few enchanted flying cars at their disposal but uh no Arthur doesn't drive, uh car or driving isn't a necessary or something talked about in the wizarding world much," Henry offered her a smile before continuing " however he took his apparition test last year and passed so he can apparate," remembering that she may have not know what Apparition was, Henry spoke again " apparition is basically disappearing from one spot and reappearing in another but its extremely difficult and there's a high chance of injury. That's why anyone under the age of 17 are restricted from doing or practicing it and anyone 17 or over as to take a apparition exam to get a license to be allowed to apparate."
Henry looked around real quick and still didn't see his brother as families and students around him started to leave the area either by walking or apparition,
Henry turned back to Aurélie when she started to speak again however. When she finished Henry frowned a bit before smiling again and speaking " oh, I'm sorry but if you want you can come to the train station with us?" Henry did enjoy talking to her and couldn't imagine her walking alone as she spoke again in which he spoke " I'm sorry that you felt homesick but I was glad to meet you here to and at Hogwarts we can meet up loads of times," He skipped the next class about being happy to go home since he was having conflicting feelings about it.
