Okay so this is probably something SUPER obvious, but how do you guys keep your pictures from doing this:If I put it in a table with something beside it, it kinda helps, buut...

And I thought I should just push it back as much as I can But is this the only way?

I'm afraid so far there's no way to resizing tables. They just automatically choose their sizes.
However, the size can also be manipulated using for instance an invisible text. But please be aware that you need to figure out by yourself the length of the invisible text (or any other trick you decide to use). There's no exact guide for the length.

You can put them central though with [center*][/center] If you didn't already know that.
However you can ALSO use invisible text like this
