Biography

Born and raised in Leeds, Charles is the oldest of seven siblings, and only son of Charles Sr. Williams.

Blue-greenish eyes, brown hair, not too tall and flamboyant figure; these were the most common words that people would use to describe Charles, "Charlie" for his friends.

Coming from a pure-blood family, Charles always felt the pressure to be the best that he could, to make sure that the name of his family would not be discredited; despite that, he had a serene childhood until the sudden and tragic death of his mother, Eleanor. This caused his relationship with his father to slowly deteriorate over the upcoming years.

One of the reasons for that was Charles' step mother, Caroline. She never liked the boy, but never openly antagonised him since he would have been the one inheriting the whole family fortune. From his second marriage, Charles' father only had daughters - six to be precise- and the young boy developed a lot of patience and love towards his younger sisters.

Another reason that brought Charles and his father further apart was the Hogwarts' house the young boy got sorted into. All of Charles' family had been sorted in Slytherin -with probably a couple of Ravenclaws every now and then, but they were so rare that the family never remembered about them- and much to everyone's surprise the young boy got sorted in Gryffindor. While his father was quite upset about that, Charles was actually quite happy with the sorting, and during his Hogwarts years he realised just how much of a Gryffindor he was; he was still ambitious and studios, but it was his bravery and loyalty to his friends that made him believe he was born to be a Gryffindor.

The final straw that completely ruined the already almost non-existent relationship between Charles and his father, was when the young Gryffindor boy, during the Christmas Holiday of his sixth year at Hogwarts, came out to his family. Charles Sr. was surprised by the revelation - even though everyone else was not - and at first reacted really badly, even threatening him of disowning him; but after a couple of days the man calmed down, and took back what he said. After all, Charles was still his only son and he had to keep carrying the family name -at least that was what Charles Sr. thought-, no matter what; his behaviour towards his son did change though, and if before he was barely interested in him and his life, after Charlie's coming out his father talked to him even less, bringing their relationship to almost die completely - the only time they talked was during the holidays or via letters to exchange birthday wishes.
