Charles summer's usually were never good and that one was no exception, he didn't attend the the quidditch match between Dumstrang and Hogwarts mostly because the boy would have probably cheered for Hogwarts since he longed to go there. Actually the only reason he was at Dumstrang was because his grandfather and father thought it would do the boy some good and grow him into a man, whatever that means. Charles couldn't have cared less about not attending the match or spending his whole summer at home, however when he heard that he was meeting his cousin's; Henry, Arthur, and Annabeth Knight plus their father which was his uncle, that got him excited. Excited for the fact that he may have family who think like him or have similar interests, who doesn't ignore him and when the day came to meet them it went great at least for Charles because they did share at least a few of his thoughts and what not. Even better they didn't ignore him, in fact Henry was going to have a conversation with him until his grandfather interrupted and some words were said and the four of them left and haven't contacted them yet.
Charles however was punished for speaking out during the meeting and again compared to his older brother; Andrew. Charles usually wouldn't care about this but in the moment he was so upset that he lost some great cousins that he packed his school bags and left, he's living in England so Charles made his way to the leaky cauldron. He booked room and decided to stay there until school started, it was better then being at home.
Dressed in muggle jeans and a grey hoodie which was promoting a muggle sport, Charles jogged down the stairs as he looked for a table. It was only noon but he figure it was better to be surrounded by others then alone since the almost 13 year old was a social butterfly and couldn't stand to be alone, he eventually saw a spot available at the long center table where multiple people could sit, who knows maybe this is a time to make a friend, Charles made his way to the seat when he accidently bumped into a adult in which Charles spoke " sorry about that," He spoke Russian so much that at most times he didn't even know that he did it as he made it to the table and sat down, Charles looked around as his eyes wandered but his thoughts were on quidditch and broom racing.

It was a strange day indeed for the young second year to be. First, their mother woke them so the mother-daughter had a little heart-to-heart chat about the betrothal between the Ironwoods-Mason. Af if their breakdown after it happened had not enough for their mother. Secondly, their mother asked them to accompany her because the mother figure of the Ironwoods has some errand to do over Gringotts.
Cash lost their interest at the mention of their father name when it utter out from their mother's lips. Last but not least, their mother asked them to joined at the bank which Cash has no interest in. Whatever their father business, Cash has no business over it. Their mother tried to coaxed Cash to accompany her but Cash just look at their mother with bored expression on their face.
And so their mother walked to Diagon Alley by herself. Cash then said that they will wait at Leaky Cauldron to their mother. Upon entering the tavern, Cash looked around. The tavern that usually only some people around, this time almost filled with people. This is summer after all. The activities that they had over the summer were taking a toll out of the green eyes.
The purple hair have to shove people gently so they can get inside the tavern. Some people laugh boisterously over whatever they had converse with their partners. Cash then spot an empty seat but suddenly an adult stumbled over them. "Hey, watched it!"They protest and soon follow by a voice that belong to a boy that Cash assume in their age group or maybe a little bit older than they are.
The boy spoke in some language that Cash long time ago heard it and that came out from their father's mouth. "You know maybe you are the one that should watch where you are going. You have eyes, don't you?"The pureblood said obnoxiously in their British-Cuban accent.

Charles heard a voice from behind him and turned his head to look at a purple haired person with green eyes who seemed to be around his own age, they spoke in a British but also tainted with what seemed to be a Cuban accent to the adult male who jump bumped into Charles but then seemed to turned their attention to Charles as they spoke again this time Charles got up and smiled at them and he spoke " Forgive me, I am deeply sorry," he then stopped as he noticed that he spoke Russian again before correcting himself and speaking in English " I'm sorry miss, what if to make up for my clumsiness I can buy you a drink?" Charles voice in English sounded a bit like a mix of a proper British voice and a deepish but sort of high russian voice as he continued " I'm Charles, but you can call me Charlie if you like."
Charles smiled at them with the hoped of having a new friend or just another reason why that summer wasn't the worse summer he ever had to endured with his family and some good might have came out, Charles eyed his seats as another opened in front of where he sat and he took a few steps back to his seat as he gestured to the empty seat " please miss," Charles even through he didn't mean to added things like miss and mr to his normal conversation because of the way he was raised and the lessons he had to endure from his family when he was younger. Charles waited for them to respond before waving over a server and speaking to them " Two butterbeers please," when they left Charles turned to the purple haired and green eyed person as he spoke again this time in Spanish with a British and Russian mix of a accent " I noticed you have a Cuban accent, do you speak Spanish? Would you perfer if we talked in Spanish miss?"
Speaking in Spanish actually gave the boy some comfort as he spoke it a lot to his best friend Max who also went to Dumstrang and actually Spanish was the only language that his family didn't make him learn, he learn it on his own with the help from Max since his Spanish isn't that good. Charles then watch ad the butterbeers came and quickly gave the sever the payment, money that he stole from his family not like the boy cared as he turned to the other person and spoke in english again not that he enjoyed it " what brings you to the leaky cauldron miss?"
Both me and my character knows that Cash is pan and prefers the problems they or them but Charles doesn't know so I thought it would be a good moment for Cash to tell them this piece of information.

Cash raise their eyebrows when the other boy speak in a language that Cash did not understand, although they remembered when they were young their father insisted the green eyes to learn Russian. As if learning French and German was not enough for their father. German language was entirely different story.
Cash learnt it in the sake to broaden their knowledge or so what their father told them long time ago. French and German it is not a languages that the purple hair used on their day to day life but if someone converse with them in the said languages, they can counter it. The boy then speak again. This time with a language Cash did understand. English.
Though when they were young, Cash had a difficulties to speak that said language because they often use Spanish more than English. When the boy asked if he can buy the girl eyes a drink, Cash smirk at him. "Well if you insist"Cash state snobbishly. In the middle of their banter, the adult that the boy bumped into resulting the adult stumble over Cash, was nowhere in sight.
The boy then introduce his name as Charles but he can be called as Charlie as well. Charles then took an open seat, drag the seat a bit backwards and gesture Cash to sit on it. Charles even nice enough to add 'please miss' to the green eyes. Cash unconsciously rolled their eyes. Cash really hate to be a Pureblood sometimes.
With the proper attitude, etiquette and gesture that Cash know now every pureblood families that have child or children will be the same. When Cash seated down and Charles waving the server to order some drink for both of the youngster. Charles then said to the server for two butterbeers. "You know,"Cash scan Charles features.
If they into boys, Charles could be their type but it was not the case. "If that is the way you courting someone, you need to educate yourself more"Cash grinned. "And beside, I did not ask you to order butterbeer for me. Since you insist it, well.."They trailed off. "I am not paying a bit for it"Cash crossed both of their arms in front of their chest.
They still a bit irritated with the boy and beside Charles is easy on the eyes. For someone that could be around their age group, Charles was not so bad either. Charles then asked Cash whether the green eyes speak Spanish or not in their mother tongue. Cash was impressed by that but they did not show it to Charles.
It is not often Cash met people around their age that can speak Spanish. "I do. It is my mother tongue after all"Cash scoffed like it was a dumb question. "I mean if you can keep up with me, I am up for it"They added. "Might as well speak it because your English is so bad"Cash mentioned it with a bit attitude.
They try to riled Charles up. "You do not need to know my name"Cash stated arrogantly this time in English. "I am bored. My mother has some errand to do over Gringotts. How about you?"They questioned Charles about why on the first place the Russian boy at Leaky Cauldron.

They agreed to letting Charles buy them a drink but their tone sounded much like something that the boy have heard before, as they spoke again however Charles became uneasy with inviting them to sit with him as he then spoke in English with a english and Russian mix of a accent " ah well I'm sorry I shouldn't have ordered for you but I did plan on paying for all of it," as he spoke he gave the sever the full amount before listening to them again but this time they spoke in Spanish and Charles seemed to smile as it reminded him of speaking with his best friend or "brother" at school something he hadn't done in a while with everything that he already went through with his family.
" Spanish is your mother tongue,
how interesting, does your family speak the language as well? Don't worry about me, I can absolutely keep up, I speak it with my friend at school all the time," Charles spoke that in Spanish before going back to speaking in English " I only speak English at home during the holidays, however I mostly speak Russian and Spanish at school. But I also know French and German if you prefer to converse in those languages as well," Charles waited for them to say their name or speak again in which they did but Charles frown a little before quicky wiping his face of the frown and speaking in English again " I would like to know you name through, what am I suppose to call you miss? Should I just then keep referring to you as miss? That's fine for me," Charles then thought about his answer as he spoke again in English " I'm sorry to hear that about your mother and being bored, but I'm here because instead of staying with my family for the reminded of the holiday I'm staying here at the leaky cauldron at least until I start Dumstrang again."
Charles frown a bit, he hated it at Dumstrang. The boy was technically only there because he didn't exactly get to pick his school and when he was 9 to the age of 10 he lived in Russia just to get accepted into the school, the school he hated probably because he didn't have many friends there and most people in Dumstrang hated him back so you can see how the boy didn't feel at place here. However Charles looked up as he spoke again in English " I sadly attended Dumstrang but you'll probably already guessed that. What school do you attend? Do you attend Hogwarts? I always wanted to go but my family never let me," Charles then decided to lie about his family and life, he figured that the two would never see each other again so what would be the harm as Charles spoke again in English " My surname is Kane, Charles Kane and I'm from a wizard born family that lives in liverpool England," Charles lied easily mostly because he did almost always but each part of his lie were specific since he rather be wizard born then pureblood, he truly didn't want to be a Alluring, and Liverpool was where his cousin; Henry Knight lived. The cousin who he might never see again, Charles shook the thought away as he spoke again " What about you miss?"

do you like me banner/header for Charles? I'm still unsure if I should start using this for him?

Well.. it is looks like the green eyes attempted to riled up the Russian boy come up futile. Charles so far was kind to the purple haired but Cash did nothing but try to annoyed Charles. "No, it is okay"Cash assured Charles when the Russian boy apologize to the socialite. The green eyes looks like have to play nice for awhile.
"Thank you"Cash said their gratitude. "You know for the butterbeer"The green eyes leaned back onto the chair that they are seated on after Charles paid for his orders to the server. Charles seems fascinating that the purple haired speak Spanish and he assured the green eyes that he can keep up speaking in Spanish.
Charles also said he spoke Spanish with a friend back at Durmstrang. "Yes to Spanish being my mother tongue and sadly no"Cash told the Russian boy. "The ones that speak Spanish are my mother, a few of my helpers and I back at the Ironwoods Manor"At the mention of their last name and 'manor', Cash tried so hard not to grimace.
They make a mental note not to give out their names (either it is they nicknames nor their surname). But that little slipped up come out from their mouth. At this point Cash assumed that Charles know that the soon to be second year come from a Pureblood family. "My father did speak Russian though"They inform Charles.
Charles told Cash that he only speak English when he is at home during holiday. Back when he goes to Durmstrang he speaks Russian and Spanish. Charles also mention that he can speak French and German too. "Ahh.."Cash tried to suppressed their smile. Charles getting more interesting minutes by minutes.
It is not so often, again Cash meet someone who can keep up speaking Spanish with them aside their mother. Also Charles can speak other languages beside Russian and Spanish. "On that note, no. I mean I am a bit rusty on my French or German since both of the languages I rarely used it. So that is that"Cash shrugged their shoulders.
Truth to be told they did not have that much interest in French and German languages. Every time Charles call Cash 'miss', it irked the green eyes. It is reminded them of their helpers. Cash resigned for the time being.
"Phoenix will do just fine"Cash hated their first name but since most likely the two of them will never meet again, Cash got nothing to loose, so that is why they told Charles their first name.
Charles then told Cash that he attend Durmstrang. Charles asked what school that the purple haired went. "Hogwarts just like you said"Cash let out a loop sided smile. "I know how that feels"Cash felt the sentiment. As an only child of a Pureblood socialite parents, being force doing something that they were not keen to was the story of their life.
One of Cash eyebrows rise. Cash listened to what Charles said. If the boy lives in Liverpool, England and he is a wizard-born why did he not attend Hogwarts? Why he has to attend a school that far away?.
"Did your parents banished you or something so that is why the reason you attend Durmstrang?"The question come out from their mouth before Cash had the chance to think about it. Cash did not care if their question will offend the Russian boy or not. From all the thing that Charles said, there was something that was not add up.
"Well.. my last name is Ironwoods. Phoenix Ironwoods. I was born and raised in Oxford, England. Both of my parents are purebloods"Cash recited it like they done it a millionth time. Cash really really hate being a Pureblood sometimes.

The purple haired and green eye one seem to address and thank Charles for the butterbeer in which he spoke again in English with this odd mix of a accent " I'm glad to hear that I didn't overstep and the butterbeer was the least I could do to forgive me clumsiness," the boy didn't mean to speak proper or anything but after years of being forced to practiced and learn it, the technique was hard to forget or break so Charles was stuck with something even remotely to being a puppet for his parents and grandparents which didn't make the nearly boy of thirteen happy.
Charles listened to them speak Spanish again however this time mention that while it was their mother tongue only their mother and a few helpers spoke the language back at Ironwood manor, a name that the boy heard before from when his grandparents and parents spoke so he figured that they were a pureblood as Charles spoke in Spanish this time through " Spanish is also the mother tongue of a friend of mine but I am sorry to hear about only a few people speaking it at your house. But your an Ironwood? So your a pureblood? Sorry I heard the name come up a bit at my house," Charles heard them say that their father also speak Russian before speaking in Spanish again commenting on French and German which made him say again in Spanish " ah well we can continue in Spanish if you like since it's your mother tongue. I speak or should say write French quite a lot to one of my friends who is French as for german it's not exactly rusty but not so good, I am also currently learning Chinese and Norwegian."
Charles didn't mean to brag but for someone who didn't too many social interactions when he was younger and now was so social that he wanted many, he wasn't that good at then as he listened to them again, this time however they asked to be called Phoenix and that they did go it Hogwarts but also knew how he felt which Charles shrugged at the thought, he had his opinions that Phoenix couldn't or didn't know how it felt before speaking again in English " it's nice to meet you Phoenix and excuse me but I always wanted to go to Hogwarts. Is Hogwarts as amazing as I heard? I did some uh reading and know that you guys have four houses, what house and year are you in?" Charles thought about asking them about his cousin but went against is as he took a quick slip of his drink.
When Phoenix spoke again, he frown the funny thing was he would have liked to be banished or disowned from his family but still Charles again spoke in English " my family either gone to Hogwarts and was sorted into slytherin or Dumstrang,
my father gone to Dumstrang so he found it only fitting that his sons went as well so my older brother and I go to Dumstrang, this will be my third year while his sixth year," Charles smiled at Phoenix and when they did their introduced, Charles then spoke " it's a pleasure to meet you Phoenix."
