Isadora Greene | First Year | Hufflepuff

Isadora Artemis Greene was born on a sunny day in Bristol England on May 21st 2009. She was born in her parents stone cottage that lay on the outskirts of the city with no neighbors to speak of. Her parents, Oliver and Diana Greene, had bought the cottage on this fact alone for they were both pureblood's who had gone into the occupation and study of magical creatures. Their house, magically shielded was not only their home but the home for many magical creatures they rescued and rehabilitated throughout the year.
For the first two and a half years of her life Isadora who was known by her family as "Isa, Izzy or Issy" grew up surrounded by magical creatures. Before her birth her parents had traveled the world helping relocate and rescue injured or lost magical creatures. It was on a relocation project in Bristol in early 2006 that Oliver Greene, a former Hufflepuff had been reintroduced to Diana Morgenstern a former Ravenclaw. They kept meeting around the world on different projects until they finally teamed up and soon fell in love. After getting married in early 2008 they soon found out they were expecting and decided to settle down in Bristol where they had met. One of the housewarming gifts that Diana's mother had given the couple was a female house elf named Kippy, who they treated as part of the family.
Fast forward a few years and Isadora has grown into a fine young toddler causing her parents great joy. Kippy the house elf was a great help to the family as the child grew up. Though the house elf loved caring for her young charge, she did wish the child wouldn't run off as much.
When Isa turned three her parents had received a letter from one of their old colleagues begging them to get back out into the field. They were unsure at first but as they continued to discuss it they realized that with Kippy as help they could do their work and also make sure their daughter was cared for.
And so that began Isadora's life of travel. The family when all the magical creatures had been cared for and there were none left decided to leave their cottage, and come back each summer while they spent the rest of the year traveling the world helping magical creatures wherever needed.
As the years went on Isadora didn't have a normal education. The world was her classroom and her parents were her teachers. With each case her parents dealt with she learned more and more about the Wizarding World and the muggle world. For the first time she was meeting other people besides her own family.

A young girl with fair skin, Isadora stares out into the world behind a pair of black square glasses through light hazel/ green eyes which she got from her mother. Her hair she gets from her father-brown almost reddish with copper tints when in the sunlight. She is a skinny young girl, quick and agile with a roadway of small light scars here and there-memories from her travels abroad with her parents many from the creatures she encountered on those travels.

Isadora at first can seem very shy. This is due to the fact that for the first few years of her life she really didn't know anyone outside of her family. However this girl is very intelligent especially when it comes to the subject of magical creatures, geography and plant life. Her parents fueled and encouraged her love of learning and pushed her to cultivate her undying curiosity. It's hard for the young girl to start conversations with others but if she's able to find something of shared similar interest she will fully dive in and soon will open up to whoever she is talking to. She has a way of words about her.
But be aware: She can be very unsure of herself and is very self conscious. Making decisions for herself is hard, but when it comes to making decisions for others (for example: helping or protecting someone she may not even know) she is quick and sure in her actions.
She often, when in a new place looks for a mentor like figure if one can be found. She responds well to praise and this when done has been known to help the young girl come out of her shell more.

At the age of eight, Isadora and her family were in Germany helping on a relocation project. Isadora was with Kippy off to the side watching as her parents worked. However her attention was diverted when she heard a cruel laugh a ways behind her. Turning around she saw a few muggle boys taunting a baby sparrow that had fallen out of the nest. Isadora watched for a moment as they poked and prodded the young bird as the helpless creature let out distressing cries.
"Leave it alone." She said to them in her soft voice.
The boys turned and after taking one look at her laughed before turning back to their cruel tasks.
"I SAID LEAVE IT ALONE!"
The boys whirled around to face her once more and as they took a step toward her, she stumbled back causing them to sneer at her. They turned to go back to their taunting but were shocked to find-
the bird was gone!
Looking around wildly they froze when they turned to the little girl, who now had the baby sparrow in her hands safely and securely. The boys confused and shocked suddenly became afraid and scampered off as fast as their legs could carry them.
Isadora's parents later that night had been told the events by Kippy the house elf and they realized that that had been their daughters first Magical Instance. They were thrilled and knew that their daughter was on her way.

A week or two after her 11th birthday while at her Grandmother's house in Cheshire with her parents an owl came flying in through the window with a thick letter in hand. Taking it her grandmother took one look at the envelope and gasped glancing at her granddaughter. She quickly handed the mail to Isadora's parents and taking one look at her parents broke out into smiles and grins like Isadora had never seen before.
She was then handed the letter and seeing it was addressed to her she opened it.
After opening it and being informed that she had been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry a round of hugs, kisses and tears were shared as the family realized that their daughter was truly going to become a witch.
