It was quite a sunny afternoon with a slight breeze. Jay Victoria looked up at the sky, no cloud in sight, they sighed, everything seemed dull in their eyes. Lily was probably at the Hogwarts camp... Jay wished they went too but Lady Angelique had made them go to a summer school program with other amazingly boring students. Everything was dull and no-one was allowed outside of the manor. The other kids looked so pale and dead looking they could of passed as vampires. In fact, Jay could of probably looked like them if it hadnt been for their green hair at the time.

A day ago Jay decided to dye their hair blue, they did think of staying with green hair but in the end blue it was! Today they were quite proud of their fit, some of the kids from the summer school gave them stuff, some of it was ridiculous though, one girl apparently liked 'e-girl' clothing?? Jay had no idea what this was but once they got their hands on a computer they regretted it all. So in the end they just threw away the shirt she had given them. Anyhow, they wore a black sleeveless shirt tucked into black jeans that was held up by a spiked belt, they werent too fond of spiked accessories, but they ought to experiment. On their neck, there were three silver chains, one was more of a choker than a necklace. On their pants there was one flashy chain that connected to their wallet (that was for muggle occasions of course). Their pants were cuffed and they wore an old pair of beat up doc martens, they were truly Jays favorite pair of shoes, they even wore them at school all the time, besides the converse. On the platform shoes there was another flash accessory- a boot strap with spaced spikes. Earlier Jay had literally looked at themself in the mirror for 10 minutes straight. me irl doe lol

People are ridiculous....

Now here they were in the city of London standing against a wall at a busy shopping center full of muggles. They could tell who was a wiz here and there, but mostly muggles, bleh. Jay was here today because they felt bored and they thought perhaps it would be a good idea to look at others clothing, and then, maybe, they could bump into an interesting figure from their school...

Lana had no particular reason to be standing in the middle of London, unless you count poking fun at muggles as they passed in and out of stores. She really wished she could pull some pranks on them, just a few magic jinxes, and in a hasty thought she almost did. Though thankfully she reminded herself that she was underage and that doing so came with a high risk of expulsion. So instead she leaned against a building wall, the bricks warm as they touched her exposed arms

Her outfit consisted of normal clothing a teenager would wear; black glistening heeled boots, a dark leather jacket even considering the exceptionally hot weather she was in, and a frilly pink dresses paired with fishnet arm sleeves. I should rephrase that; her outfit consisted of nothing normal. It was actually rather peculiar to the normal person.

As she was passed by other muggle folk, they often gave her a disapproving look, either to her hair or her attire. To this Lana could only respond with a grin, because what was funnier than parents shielding their children's eyes so they couldn't get a glance at her? It was amusing, simply amusing.

Speaking of her hair, it was so bloody damaged that you could practically see how textured and rough it was from 10 ft away. She sighed, pushing a stray piece of hair behind her ear and looked out into the crowd once more. Mostly plain faces, some interesting but not enough to strike a conversation. Then there was a head; a head with blue hair and somewhat of a mundane expression. She wondered what they were here for...

Disappointed and bored, Jay yawned. The teenagers of Muggle London were boring. At least in Wizard London there were teenagers along with adults that wore robes and funky pointy hats. Though, some of their clothing choices made Jay want to vomit. Here it was rather the boringness that made Jay want to vomit. And the fact they were surrounded by muggles. Jay then took out a pair of black hand gloves and slid them on, these were rather new and they had thought of wearing them often, they could probably match them with any of their school outfits...

Jay then looked up to continue their 'muggle observations' and an oddly dressed girl took their attention, that girl was from their school for sure. That girl was also wearing oddly paired clothing, a pink frilly dress under a leather jacket, in the name of Grindelwalt w h a t.Jay couldnt help but to chuckle at this girl, her shoes though, were admirable, in fact, they thought that they could perhaps pull them off. Oh dear, and green hair? Pfft, Jay was the original green hair mess. The answer was simple to this girls wardrobe, she needed a little fix. Now that would be entertaining to Jay.

Just as the girl neared them, they held out their hand to her,
"Hello miss, not to be rude but what in the bloody hell are you wearing? I am Jay Victoria, pureblood, and I go to the same school as you"They ought to be direct, no? Might as well get to the point, and if she dislikes them and walks away, her loss. Jay then gave them a small smile to hopefully not creep her out.

She was pulled out of her thoughts when spoken to by a voice, a unfamiliar voice at that. She glanced over at them, a tight-lipped smile worn on her face as she listened to them comment on her outfit.

"My clothes don't seem that out of place, do they?" She asked politely, taking a glance at their own attire. How edgy... she thought sarcastically, disregarding the need to comment on it verbally. She wasn't sure if they planned on giving her advice or merely try to poke fun at her, either way, it didn't really matter.

They soon after stated that they went to Hogwarts the same as her, making Lana wonder how they'd known. Nonetheless, she stared at their open hand, indicating a handshake was in place. She returned the smile she'd been given and took their hand lightly, nodding as she spoke. "Lana Monet, pureblood. A pleasure." She spoke formally, as her mother and father would expect her to. Though, Lana couldn't quite read this person as well as she could others, causing her to wear a somewhat of a puzzled expression.

"What would you suggest I wear?" She inquired, raising her eyebrows at the question. Though she couldn't lie, she was somewhat interested in what they'd have to say about her own fashion taste.

"Your dress is quite blinding to my eyes and-", Jay stopped themself. They took a breath and simply grabbed her hand again and pulled her with them towards a clothing shop just across the area they were in.
"Alas, the way you dress is concerning, you're one of the newbies, right? Or well, you'd actually be a Second year soon. I am going to be a third year by the way" Jay said in a rather quick manner and they pulled the store door open and pulled her in. They couldnt help but to start liking her a little after she mentioned that she was a pureblood, Jay knew that they shouldnt be thinking about blood status and whatnot but they just couldnt help it. At least they're okay with halfbloods? Anyhow, Jay was making progress and becoming "kind" ...whatever thats supposed to be.
"I think you need help- no, let me rephrase that- I know you need help with that-"they pointed at her clothes,
"And im bloody bored so lets move on, shall we?"and with that Jay winked at her and grabbed a black collared dress with mesh sleeves, this looked just fine to Jay and made them question her need to wear a black leather jacket in this weather. Turning their head away from her, they rolled their eyes.

She grinned as they looked her up and down, nodding sarcastically at their somewhat insulting remarks. Their hands were cold to the touch, causing her to jump a little as she was pulled towards a store.
At the mentioning of them being a third year, all Lana could do was suppress a smile and nod. She was unsure if they were just telling her this so she would feel embarrassed that she was younger than them, or just because it seemed necessary to state due to this being their first acquaintance. Nonetheless, she found herself taking a liking to them, unsure as to how.

As they entered the shop, she couldn't help but notice the people staring at her. She smiled as they walked pass, following Jay's lead as they directed her to the particularly feminine section. Most of the things she saw were either plain or not her taste, causing her to stand annoyed as her new fashionista picked out clothes that were more "appropriate".

She eyed Jay suspiciously as they held out a collared dress, causing Lana to roll her eyes in response. She grabbed the dress and placed it in her bag, suddenly fixing her eyes on a black laced top directly beside it. The shirt seemed normal by all means to her, so she held it up with her eyebrows raised as if asking for approval.

The girl had then picked out a black laced top, it looked quite nice, perhaps Jay would wear such thing. She had then looked at them in a way as if asking for approval, Jay chuckled,
"That looks quite nice miss, though I cant help but to be curious about your fashion sense-" they had then paused, wondering if they were going to regret what they were about to say, "Why don't you pick out an outfit for me? Then i can see how hopeless you are," the last part was said in a more playful tone, this was either going to end in 'fun' or pure regret.
"And i'll put together something for you? Honestly, miss Monet, its a new school year and i'd like a uh... fresh outlook on clothing."

Jay had then looked over at a rack with dresses, they disliked dressed quite a lot but Lady Angelique had been nagging them all summer to start wearing them as there were certain events that had rather old customs. They would of figured they could just stay in their room during these events but apparently that wasnt a choice. And perhaps they'd have a larger variety of clothing choices to wear at school dances, instead of having a custom tailored outfit.

She grinned at the idea of picking out an outfit for them, her eyes immediately sparkling with excitement. She figured this was her one chance to show them that she wasn't as crazy as they thought, or maybe it was a chance to embarrass herself. She hadn't quite decided yet.

"I can certainly do that." She replied amusingly, still unsure of the look she'd go for. She couldn't quite pin their style, perhaps "edgy"? It was a stupid term but she'd really had no other word for it. She liked it nonetheless; sort of reminding her of the Pinterest outfits she'd seen before. She giggled at the thought of Pinterest, such a stupid muggle site.

She walked through the store slowly, glancing at the many racks of clothing. There were plenty of things she contemplated picking up for herself, though she resisted the urge and walked on, her eyes fixing on a few pairs of pants. There were two that had caught her interest; the first was a pair of black and white grid pants, and the second a normal gray pair of cuffed jeans.

Lana grabbed the black pants and placed it into her bag, her focus now on finding a shirt to match. She figured they wouldn't appreciate her mismatched outfit sort of scheme too much, therefore she chose a simple black turtle neck. It was fairly simple, cute though.

As she made her way back to them, she grabbed a few wallet chains and a black grommet belt, holding out the bag to her new potential friend. She had no idea what to expect, though it couldn't be that bad. After all, they had been right; some of her outfits were definitely questionable.

Jay smiled as Monet replied, now they were very interested in what she was going to pick out for them. They then walked through the isles, they were thinking of getting her a dark outfit with a colorful accent. Jane wasnt too sure if she would like dark academia like they did, but they felt that she would perhaps like goth academia... It was elegant and still had a sort of twist to it.

They saw a black cropped collared shirt with wide short sleeves, on the shirt it had a small bright blue bat embroidered on the right chest. It was truly adorable to Jay, they were fond of bats, but not the ugly ones. Jay then went to find pants to match it with, they saw some interesting pants, one was split into two colours, one side a neonish aquamarine and the other black, something a scenekid would wear. Jays eves then laid on a high waised blue plaid pants, this would match the shirt, though it had a bit of school uniform vibe to it. Hogwarts already made them wear uniforms so bleh... Then Jay wondered which house was Monet in, maybe Slytherin. They saw high waisted dark blue cuffed pants, it was of a nice material and it made the look much better.

After grabbing it they went on to find accessories, they proceeded to find a silver collarpin, it had a small chain that connected both pins together, the small pins themselves were small triangular shaped, simple. They then got a black canvas belt with a silver buckle. This should do. Jay then went back to Monet, she then held out the bag to them, they did the same back.

They looked inside and saw a few glints of chains, Jay smirked, then pointing at the dressing rooms "Well then, I guess we should try these outfits on shall we?".
