Toady's Lucky Day Pet Finished

"I want a pet."

As Remi stood with his family, at least a good part of it as his three older sisters were out of the picture, the two are off somewhere, enjoying their young adult freedom while his third. His father, Boris, and his mother, Rachell. It wasn't too often that both of his parents were there at the same time to help him with getting stuff from Diagon Alley.

So this time, he had to behave himself.

As his parents looked at each other, his mother spoke first,

"Now Remi, you'll need to take good care of it. NO neglecting it. Remember to feed it -"

Remi listened as his father gently placed his hand onto Rachell's shoulder, a look of, 'Please don't rant. Please.'

Taking a good sigh and a tired look at Remi, his mother said,

"Let's go get your a pet."

With a forming smile, his eyes glinting with excitement.

"Time to get a dog."

He looked back at his father, who was trying to stifle a true laugh as to hope not to hurt the boy's feelings.

"No Crups, you'll need a license once you're older, and even then."

His father covered his mouth, chuckling again.

Even his mother had a good snort but trying not to pay a whole lot of attention to it. As the family tree walked into the pet shop of Magical Menagerie, as the door rang.

Remi's eyes darted around the shop, seeing large frogs of different colors. Lizards, and -

His face turned slightly faint as he saw a large spider, crawling in its tank and it appeared that his mother saw the same thing as she moved away right away, and more towards the front of the desk. Who was at the front of the desk?

A nice older lady with a soft smile who smelled of cookies, which was pleasant.

"Now young man, hello. Welcome to Magical Menagerie, what pet will you keep for today?"

Her eyes flickered to Remi and back to her parents.

Remi walked up to the counter,

"Do you have anything cool?"

He asked curiously as his father's hand on his head, playing with his coily hair a little bit. The little lady gave a weak chuckle, her old eyes tinkled with dealing with kids.

"Look around, we have everything."

She said calmly.

As his mother and father looked around the shop as Remi had his little time. Walking between the aisles, seeing most of the animals that they had to offer like Owls, rats, cats, frogs -

Frogs? Hmm, maybe. He didn't like too many animals; owls looked weird, rats scare him, cats make him sneezy but frogs -- Frogs are perfectly fine and it'll be a good start especially with someone with a limited budget.

"I want a toad!"

Remi pointed at the tank, holding a grey-tint toad.

Right as he said that, the subtle noise of the back-door swinging open with a large man, same hair color as his wife. His beady eyes underneath his wire-framed glasses looked around with one of the large cages in his hands, placing it near the Frog section.

His mom was the first to come, noticing the pet he wanted,

"Are you sure?"

She asked before Remi declared surely,

"Of course, I'll call her Toady!"

He said cutely.
