Broom Racing
So I have a question, I am making a iNPC for Beauxbatons and i'd like him to be a broom racer but unfortunately I do not have enough galleons to purchase a proper broom. If he is approved, will there be another opportunity for me to make him one eventually?

Broom Racing
From what I've read (someone can correct me if I'm wrong) you can still be a broom racer if you don't have enough money to purchase a broom! You will just have to use a school broom, which doesn't give you any statistical advantages that some of the other purchasable brooms do. However, if you have enough money in the future, you could buy one and have those advantages.

^ Seconding what Amadea said. You can race with a school broom, other brooms are simply better.

Ah ok thank you guys! But I'm assuming there might be some of disadvantages though when a school broom goes up against fancier ones?

Broom Racing
School brooms are fine to use. People use them in quidditch games.
The other brooms give you a small advantage that may help but not necessarily. People can play without them and can also succeed with them. It just helps to have a paid one. BUT it's the same with everything else. The more stats you have, the better abilities, the more spells etc = the better chance of success. Not guaranteed as things like random luck also matter but it helps.
I would personally make him however you want to make him, regardless of the items you have. In the future, you can always buy a broom if you wish to but it's not necessary.
