Reducio Do you have an opinion that you need to get out, but no one will listen? Want someone to hear your voice but do know where to go? Hogwarts Debate is a safe space to listen and decision your thoughts and opinions, with helpful feedback and listening to the other side. Want to practice speeching? We are here for that too! We want to reward you for expressing your opinion too! Everyone willing to stand up for their options will get a chocolate frog!

Reducio Well, sometimes showing your opinion can be bad if you don't know how to do it. This is a no hostility zone. Your freedom of speech shouldn't attack someone's life or expression. Rules in Roleplays ✴ No spell use ✴ No throwing anything ✴ No use of Slurs Rules OOC ✴ This is IC only ✴ the only sources that can be used are Pottermore, Harry Potter Wiki, and HiO Lore, if they contradict each other, HiO is the correct one ✴ Any time you debate, you will be expected to talk OOC, to resolve tension and make sure everyone is okay ✴ 200 word are good, but 300 are better *wink*

  why you are joining: Henry is a bookworm and natural geek, he loves discussing new and weird topics but most of his friends don't really share his liking besides from his best friend. He wants to join the debate club to show off his smarts and how much of a know it all he is plus just make friends who enjoy talking about new and interesting topics. Also he's been isolating himself in his second year quite a lot so he needs a place he can go to release his tension and feelings at least for a bit.

why you are joining: After several different... incidents... of Nick's anger getting the best of him, it's been suggested to him that he finds way to learn to control that anger. Seeing the debate team, Nick thought this would be a great way to learn how to argue in a controlled, calm environment. He also loves winning so this is a very ego influenced decision.

They also need to feel some sort of control of their life after what had happened to their father and being surrounded by people who hopefully have the same way of thinking like them, always fuel Cash competitive side. why you are joining: Put simply, Thomas Baines is a contrarian. While he typically doesn't seek out arguments, they seem to follow him due to his fairly stubborn and egotistical nature. To him, the Debate Club would be perfect practice to gain mastery over words, something that somewhat eludes the fairly shy wizard. Plus, in his opinion at least, he's always right!
