Beauty Among The Clouds
Forward dated to early September.
It was during her first year when Aurelia organised a pick up quidditch game, it was also that year, a couple month later when her mother had reprimanded her for engaging in such a sport. It was not suited for young pureblood ladies like her, her mother had claimed. Since then, other than the usual flying lessons, Aurelia had barely spent a second on a broom. This year was different. With the galleons she had saved up over the months unbeknown to her own parents, the fourteen year old had purchased not one but three brooms down by daigonalley.
There was nothing much Thellea Bezuidenhout could do about it, at least not when she was still in hogwarts.
Over the last semester, Aurelia had been keeping track of the games. Gryffindor was not performing that well compared to the other three houses. Perhaps that might change this year. Aurelia had applied for the position of none other than a seeker. One of the roles highly sought for, one that played a huge part in the game with the responsibility to seek for the small glimmer of gold worth a hundred points. Aurelia was a seeker on second string.
However, her lack of training put her in a disadvantage. As a fourth year who has never played the sport in years, Aurelia would admit, was a little disconcerting. Surely training would be require over the months, but needless to say, she was prepared for the worse. And the worse included the arrogant quidditch captain, Rafael D'Spacito. Now that she was a player that would mean by default, the egoistic gryffindor boy was her superior. He had the power to kick her off the team and Aurelia was sure he would if she fail to prove her worth. Aurelia would need to learn how to be good.
Two brooms she had hauled from the Gryffindor common room down to the quidditch pitch. It would have been ideal if Aurelia had brought along another to train with her. But today's agenda would be seeking. Slipping her hands into the robes of her pocket, Aurelia produced a small golden orb that glimmered in the fading late summer's afternoon sun.

Beauty Among The Clouds
@Aurelia Notrésvace
It was safe to presume that change was not something Ariana was overly fond of. Surely the girl would have been used to it by now; after all, she had gone through many sudden traumatic upheavals within her chaotic life. However this did not exactly promote any sort of comfortable adaptation to the feeling. Instead, with each mishap that brought dramatic change, she felt even worse, disrupted, detached. It was, after all, change that had brought around Alejandras death, it was change that had brought her here to England, away from home.
Restlessness was another highly unwanted situation. Yet, the girl couldn't help feeling this way. It was as though she was searching desperately for something she had lost, yet, she had no idea what exactly that thing was. Anything to be rid of such an aggravating affair would be formidable in her eyes, the residence of such pain was making her uneasy. So, she would trek down to the quidditch training pitch, intent on venting her anger and distress into any unfortunate bludger that was to come her way. The girl could have indeed invited Ivy to come with her, but her reasoning had flown out of the window, and it was as though the concept of company had effortlessly escaped her mind.
Hot-tempered attitude would be a trait she was rather unfortunately bound to, despite her plan to tone it down come second year. Judging by her rather splenetic start, it already seemed quite unlikely that this idea would be followed through successfully. The summer events had only made things worse, if anything. Ariana changed into her quidditch robes rather aggressively, chucking things here and there in a way to vent some of her discomfort and anger. A frown was set on her pretty visage as she swiftly tackled her dark locks into a ponytail, marching out from the changing rooms without a thought to spare. Brooding on the many sour postulations that had captivated her mind was exhausting and so she stared rather absently into the distance as she walked, the breeze ruffling her hair as she placed one foot after the other.
However it wouldn't be long before she halted her steps rather abruptly, the frown that had previously clouded her features now replaced with a look of horror. She had forgotten to bring a broom with her. Way to go Ariana. How could she have forgotten something so simple? Stupid distractions, stupid thoughts, stup- Giving a rather audible groan of frustration, she turned on her heel, she would have to turn back and get one. However she was yet again stopped, this time by instinct, her eyes flickering back towards the point she had been previously facing. A flash of gold, and Ariana turned completely back around, green hues following the resplendent ball as it rose into the air. So someone was out here with her? Sweeping her gaze across the pitch she glanced around, gaze zeroing on a girl who looked quite familiar….
Shit.
No, this really wasn't her day.
Aurelia Notrésvace. Ariana had interesting history with this girl. For one, there was the fact that her cousin disliked her with such ferocity, that it could rival the hate Ariana had for Evans. Second, Aurelia had kissed Ariana at the end of last year, during the gryffindor slumber party in spin the bottle. Whether this had been out of malice to get back at Rafa, or because she had genuinely desired to play her part in the game, Ariana would not know. So, mixed feelings towards this girl she would possess, for she hadn't exactly encountered a one to one situation with her. Yet.
It was too late to turn back now, for the beater had been standing there rather stupidly for a while now, goggling at the gryffindor girl as though she were an interesting artifact. She blinked, relaxing the shocked strain that had taken a hold of her body, her cheeks flushed a light pink, complimenting the skys afternoon slumber. There were two ways this could go, and Ariana certainly preferred one over the other.

Now, Aurelia did not expect for herself to be the only individual on the pitch looking for some practice. She was here to further hone her skills at seeking, likewise, she could not be the only one with that plan in mind. It was not too long before another soul appeared on the pitch, dark long hair with a stunning visage. The girl very much entrancing and as she got closer, Aurelia would feel something familiar stirring deep within her, like butterflies in her stomach, there was something about her looks and the way it made her feel in a pleasant refuge from reality, Aurelia would immediately conclude: Veela. Ariana was not the first person to pass such a sentiment to the non-human enthusiast.
Fortunately, Aurelia was not the only one with her eyes glued to the other in front of them, Ariana too, was not looking away it seemed. A lovely smile would settle across her face. The third year never interacted much with the girl, all she knew was that they shared a kiss during a fun little game in the end of year slumber party up in the Gryffindor commons. Aurelia should have approached her after the game if she had not been so worn out and tired.
"Are you just going to stand there staring at me, Darling?" She asked, adding a light-hearted endearment at the end.
"You're in quidditch too. Beater?"
