Finished Life Changes Solo

Sept. 6th 2020

Logan smiled as she walked out into the sunshine. She had spent a lot of the morning talking to Henry and after that she had gone to the library to study. The second year decided it would be a perfect moment to spend some time outdoors, also giving her time to read the letter from her father she had received that morning.

Feeling the sun on her back, Logan smiled as she walked over to one of the benches and set her bag down, sitting down herself soon after. It had been a good day so far and for once in a long while she actually felt happy. Pulling the letter out of her bag, she scrunched her eyebrows up in confusion as it wasn't from her father but her brothers. They never sent her letters this early in the school year unless something bad had happened.

Glancing around to make sure no one else was around, she opened the letter, only for two other ones to fall out. The first one was just a quick scribbled note from her brothers.

Logan grabbed the next letter in the pile and frown when she read that it was addressed to her father. What letter to her father would be so important that her brothers would send her not one but two of them. Slowly she started to read through the letter, her face paling as she went.

July 12th, 2020

Dear Adam,

I have warned you time and time again that you need to listen to me and yet you don't. You should know by know that your sister can not raise your children for you. I am warning you now that you must find a suitable wife by the end of summer or I will be taking matters into my own hands. Your children need an actually mother to raise them, not their aunt. Hannah will be moving out the end of September and will moving back to Russia with me.

Logan couldn't believe what she was reading. Her grandfather had threatened her father into getting married just because he thought Hannah wasn't taking care of them well enough. She had done a wonderful job with both the boys and her. At this point the Hufflepuff didn't want to read the second letter at all, but slowly she pulled it out and started to read.

August 14th, 2020

Dear Adam,

Of course I will accept your proposal to marry you. I will start planning the wedding with my family immediately. I already have so many ideas. I am so happy that you finally rethought about my proposal to you in our seventh year, honestly I don't understand why you married that other woman in the first place. I accept your apology and your proposal though. I am so excited to meet the children and announce the marriage to everyone. It will be the wedding of the year.

At this point tears were flowing down Logan's pale face. How could her father have hidden this from her all summer long and not mention it once. She knew that he was spending more time away from home but she hadn't thought this was the reason. Letting out a quiet sob, Logan shoved the letters into her bag, successfully crumpling them as she took off towards the Hufflepuff common room.
