Henry walked down the hall at a slow pace with his mind somewhere else, his thoughts were occupied with other matters that at the moment were more important. As class started and Henry already knew that he was late, he found no reason to run or hurry along so he continue his slow pace with mind thinking about his father's family and how his life won't be going back to normal anytime soon. His whole life he heard and seen what pureblood families can do but lucky for him Henry had never dealt with that but things changes for better or in Henry's case for worse. Now he was stuck with thoughts on how his life could change and his father's family but he wasn't worried about being late to potions.
If a prefect or professor would have saw him then they for sure would have given him detention since he was late to class and wasn't even wearing his uniform properly. His tie hung loosely around his neck, his robes were buckle together, his belt was missing, his shirt and pants were ruffled and looked like they were put on in a hurry. Henry although was not in a hurry, in fact it was the opposite; he just wanted to be alone and isolated himself so much that he took his time and let his mind wander to his more concerning matters than his classes. Which was odd for the second year since during his first year he got a reputation for being a know it all and always being the top of the class, well now that smart kid or know it all boy was late to his potions class and he couldn't care less.
Henry opened the door a bit once he made it to his potions class and was 30 minutes late to, so much for being the top of the class this year, Henry suspected that he would be yelled at by the potions professor and get some lost points taken away to not that Henry cared about either of those.
Henry made his way to his desk where Eyre was already sitting, the boy remembered that the previous potions class they were assigned partners to brew the potion today. Henry wasn't paying attention that day because he was thinking of his life and his father's family and so he was partner up Eyre because apparently he didn't have a partner either.
Henry met Eyre during their train ride in their first year but didn't talk much since because they were in different houses and Eyre always seemed to be surrounded by friends so Henry just thought that he was just another cool and popular Gryffindor from a perfect pureblood family. Henry however did remember seeing him at the camp, since they both did that water fight game and Henry sort of shit at Eyre which made Eyre shot back. Henry laughed as even Eyre got him out, Altair got Eyre out and he was even shot again right after by some blonde haired kid. Henry rolled his eyes at the other facts through and walked over to the desk to see that Eyre has already started on their potion so Henry
dropped his messager type bag next to his chair and took a seat next to Eyre as he spoke " Hey Eyre, what did I miss?"

Eyre didn't want to be there.
The past two weeks had been difficult for him, to say the least. He couldn't focus on anything, partly because his mind was so occupied with what he'd learned about his parents a few weeks prior. It was starting to seep into every aspect of his life, including his school work. For someone who usually did an exceptional job in his potions class, at that moment he would rather be watching paint dry than having to deal with measurements. Trying to put any sort of effort into his wizarding education had proved itself to be excessively tiring and tremendously frustrating.
Eyre had also been reclusive since his life had been flipped upside down. He didn't bother approaching his friends and his girlfriend, lest they have a gigantic freak out on him like Ana did. He knew it wasn't fair, but after all that he'd been through that summer, he put his walls up. He didn't want to let anyone in, anymore, in fear of becoming too close to them and being betrayed again. Thankfully, when Eyre returned to school with a cold, despondent look in his eye, everyone got the hint that he needed some space. Which was true. He needed time to fully process what he'd been through, or else he would never heal.
It wasn't entirely a good thing, though, pushing people away. In his Potions class, he didn't bother finding a partner, and instead was paired up with Henry Knight.
Henry Knight.
That name gave Eyre a variety of mixed feelings. Henry was the first person that he'd met at Hogwarts, along with Henry's friend Cricket. They talked a little bit in the first few days of school, until Eyre found his own crowd and lost touch with him. It wasn't as though he didn't like Henry or think that he was a good person, but he felt overwhelmed by him. It wasn't any fault of his own, but Henry was extremely anxious. He even blurted out that he was a werewolf within the first 10 minutes of them meeting, which only helped to frazzle his nerves. It wasn't just that, but he'd also heard through the grapevine that Henry was spreading lies about him.
Henry had picked up the narrative that Eyre was some super popular snob that didn't have time for outcasts like him, and also that he came from a rich tight knit pureblood family. It was true that his family was wealthy, as they came from old money and his father worked a high-profile security job at the Ministry, but the rest of it was completely misconstrued and blown out of proportion. If he had any sort of energy left in him, maybe he'd take the boy aside and assure him that he didn't mean to come off that way, and they could start over. But, Eyre didn't have any energy left in him for that.
So, he chose to be quiet about it and let it boil inside of him. It only worsened when Henry didn't come in to class on the day that they were supposed to brew a cauldron of Sleeping Draught, which only worsened his annoyance towards the boy. He was sat at the empty desk waiting for the mixture to brew the full 70 minutes when Henry finally decided to show up. The guy looked like a total mess, with his robe and dress clothes wonkily hanging off of his frame. Instead of looking at the kid and realizing that he might've been going through something too, he chalked it up to Henry simply being lazy and sleeping in too late.
Eyre grew hot under the collar of his robe when Henry asked him what he missed. The assignment was nearly finished with, and Eyre had to go through the trouble of doing all the steps on his own, save for the last couple steps. The combination of Professor Ostrowski's intimidating eye contact and the pressure of having to do an important demonstration until that point in the assignment aggravated him to a point that his anxiety was amped up to a 10, so he was not in a good mood at all.
Still, he tried to remain calm. He couldn't let his temper take control of him. After all, he was known to be hot-headed.
"...You've missed practically all of it." He muttered, his tone cold as ice. It was unlike him to be that way, so he was certain that Henry would notice that he wasn't in the mood to chat. "It has to brew for 10 minutes, and then we add more standard ingredient, heat it again, add Valerian sprigs, stir it 7 times and then wave a wand over it." He wasn't making eye contact with the boy, as he was silently seething. A smidge of his anger came through when he picked up his journal with all of his notes, plopping it in front of the boy unceremoniously.
"Here. Make yourself useful and read up on what you missed." He said, his piercing gaze coming up to meet Henry's eyes before he dropped it, fiddling with his quill. Perhaps he'd been a little bit too obvious then, but he hoped that it wouldn't get any worse. After all, he didn't need another name on his shitlist this year.

Eyre voice sounded cold and a but angry, as well if Henry noticed he looked sort of rough and like he was dealing with something as well but Henry was a bit too wrapped up with his own thoughts and problems that he didn't noticed and only heard Eyre's cold and angry voice which put the second year slytherin on edge as be took the notes and quill that Eyre dropped in front of him and listened to the remaining steps that they had. Henry however saw that it was a sleeping daught, a potion that Henry already read over or learned last year which was a good thing but Henry didn't really care since he had bigger matters on his mind at the moment.
" I actually already learned this potion but thanks and I can take the brewing from here if you like?" Henry's voice sounded a but annoyed but also a bit tired since he was spending a but too much time worrying about his hidden life and new found awful pureblood family then anything else as Henry picked up Eyre's book and quill and dropped it back in front of him, sort of like how Eyre gave it to him, Henry then added a bit more stranded ingredient and heated the cauldron a bit before adding the valerian springs. Henry then settled back in his seat and let in brew before completing the last two steps that Eyre mentioned.
Usually Henry wouldn't say anything or would at least be kind about it but that day Henry had to much on his mind and he kept thinking about his hidden life and how a certain pureblood family can ruined his life. Henry has isolated himself off from others since he got back to Hogwarts and his thoughts would take over which made Henry sound a bit annoyed with other which is what he sounded like when he spoke " and you don't need to sound snappy Eyre or is it just a bad day in paradise."

OOC: Now the drama begins...Eyre could hardly believe what he was hearing. Perhaps the spell was something that Henry had studied previously, but to do this to him after he had to do all of the dirty work for the exam? It was insult to injury. The brunette shut the book, shoving it off to the side as he inhaled sharply through his nose to try to calm himself down before he said anything that he would regret. At least Henry seemed to know what he was doing with the rest of the instructions.
What set him off though was Henry's audacity to ask him if it was a 'bad day in paradise.' His life was nothing to write home about. He was raised in a posh atmosphere, yes, but he knew from experience that money couldn't replace neglect, and certainly couldn't replace the betrayal that he felt from his own parents. He glanced over to Henry, his blue eyes narrowing into tiny slits.
"Bad day in paradise? What do you even mean by that?" He said, his voice cracking dryly as the anger started to burn through his core. "Please, tell me Henry, I'd love to hear it." He leaned back into his chair, his arms crossing defiantly. He'd been through enough nonsense in the past few weeks that hearing any sort of grudge that Henry had about him would certainly be the least of his problems.

Henry didn't or wasn't paying attention of how Eyre looked because if he did then he would have saw that Eyre seemed to be out of it or like he was going through something as well. The boy looked like all the life and joy was sucked from his eyes, not only that he was seemed to be growing rather impatient with Henry but Henry on the other hand didn't noticed since he was a bit to busy and his mind was preoccupied with his known problems and worries, mostly about his hidden life and family.
As Henry started to stir the potion seven times he heard Eyre speak in if he cared to noticed not a friendly or pleasant way either but Henry again didn't as he was a bit preoccupied with his own problems and worries.
When Henry was done he side eyed Eyre and saw that he was sitting back in his seat as he spoke again in what sounded to Henry a sarcastic and annoyed voice and if Henry was his normal self or didn't have anything on his mind then he would have let it be but the boy did in fact had a lot on his mind and was far from his normal geeky and sometimes a know it all self so since he his mind was preoccupied with thoughts on his hidden life and family and he was spending more time isolating himself than usual, the boy was already in a annoyed and bad mood and Eyre wasn't helping.
Henry took a seat when he was done stirring and stared at Eyre, letting his tried eyes show since with his mind preoccupied and isolating himself he wasn't getting much sleep anymore as he kept a blank face and his usual small but friendly smile couldn't be seen anywhere on the second year's face. As Henry started to think, if he remember correctly from last year then the two had two different and opposite lives while Eyre grew up in a large pureblood family with money entangled in the pureblood community, Henry on the other hand grew up in a small and broken family that even in good times he still had bad ones to. Where Henry had to live through so much and his faded and dirty robes were even a sign of his families economics since he grew up basically in a poor family cut off from the pureblood community.
With his mind still on his hidden life, family, and isolating himself the second year spoke " let's see Eyre first off you grew up in a wealthy pureblood family where you didn't need to experience many economic or family hardships," remembering when the two met on the Hogwarts Express and Eyre complained about getting less attention then his sisters those seemed like childish problems compared to Henry as the boy continued " your also sorted into Gryffindor which if you haven't forgotten is what others consider the best and coolest house that had most of the greats in the wizarding world. While others in different houses are seen as evil and get compared to dark witches and wizards," Henry actually didn't care about houses but a few people still had house biased and that sicken the twelve year old as he went on " you also have a lot of people following you around all the time, either groupies or friends but nevertheless you seem to he a part of the popular cliche while some of us are forgotten or live among the outcasts."
Henry's mind was now spiraling with thoughts on his hidden life and family that he couldn't help or stop himself as he continued which frighten the boy a bit, " and also growing up in your pureblood family in your large mansion with money shielded you from the world, so unlike the rest of us you never experienced any problems or hardships that the rest of went or are currently going through. Besides from your childish complaints about being measured to your sisters you have no idea how the real world works do you, Eyre?"

Henry seemed to have the confidence as if he were reading him like a book, but honestly, he barely knew anything at all. The accusations was so blatantly offensive and absurd that Eyre stared at the other boy with a look in his eyes that could only be described as complete and total bewilderment. A polite smile spread across his face when he saw a fellow classmate walk by, lowering his voice so only Henry could hear him.
"Are you a fucking moron?" Eyre asked, his voice prim and posh as if he were asking Henry what his favorite flavor of ice lolly was.
Honestly, he thought that he had more self-control than to call a classmate a moron outright. But frankly, he thought a lot of different things were true about himself before the year began, so nothing surprised him anymore. He had enough going on in his life at the moment than to hold any prisoners, and being accused of having a perfect life again *seriously* pissed him off. His jaw tensed, his voice still low as he spoke to Henry.
"I'm not going to lie and pretend like my family doesn't have money, but seriously, mate? You really think that I haven't experienced any problems? None at all? Because I'm a rich Gryffindor?" He laughed in Henry's face at the ridiculousness of it all, shaking his head. He took another glance around to make sure that no one was listening in before his volume lowered again.
"Newsflash, arsehole, there are loads of Gryffindors out there that are terrible people. I should know, I'm actually a Gryffindor, unlike you. If anything, you're the one perpetuating the stereotype by pretending that I'm so much better than you just because I actually talk to people and have a social life. Believe it or not, it's not easy for me to talk to people or make friends either Henry, but you know what? I do it anyways. And I like it." He bit back, his eyes glinting dangerously as he quirked his brow. "Maybe you'd like it too, if you gave up on this stupid fantasy that you're some ultra-cool werewolf who is oh-so-damaged."
Maybe that was too far, bringing up his lycanthropy. The dial on his anger went up to the last gas mark when he said that his problems were childish though. His hands clenched into fists, gently trembling.
"You hardly even know me." He growled. "You better shut your mouth and stop calling my problems childish, because you know NOTHING about what I'm going through, dog boy." It was nearly the end of class, and their Professor was about to let them go. His last rebuttal was a warning to Henry to not stoop any lower, because if he did, it wasn't going to end well for him.

"Are you a fucking moron?" Eyre bit the inside of his cheek as Eyre insulted him, normally he wouldn't speak up but that day with the thoughts and feelings of his hidden life and family coming in it was hard not to shoot a insult back as Eyre started to speak to him in a low voice. Hearing Eyre speak about being a gryffindor and having money made his blood boil, he didn't experience any real problems or knew what others were going. The problems and struggles that everyone else has to go through, that life isn't perfect and can't be change by having money that they don't have so the twelve year old with suffocating thoughts that was being controlled by his thoughts on his hidden family and life.
" Last time I check gryffindor, money could solve most bloody fucking problems. At least problems that you never needed to worry about, tell me this Eyre have you ever needed to worry about money? Ever go to bed hungry or cold? Ever not know what's going to happen to you or your family? Ever had to move just so your parents could get a raise or never saw your parents because they were obsessing over their work to avoid other problems? Ever was left alone as a child because everyone else was either working or at Hogwarts and you had to grow up and mature fast? Tell me Eyre, have you actually experienced any fucking problems?"
As Eyre spoke again, now his blood was really boiling and his view was blurry from isolating himself all the time from everyone and thinking about his hidden life and family too much for the boy to handle but when Eyre mention his condition now that go him really angry as he bit his lip and looked up to be sure that they didn't draw any attention to themselves before turning to Eyre and speaking in a low voice " for your bloody information Eyre I do enjoy talking to people and have friends, I just have fucking anxiety and things are a lot harder for me to do then you could ever comprehend Eyre.
And your right I shouldn't say all gryffindor's have perfect lives or anything since not all do and I don't even believe in stereotypes but I do know whether or not you admit it you have a bloody perfect life compared to fucking others," now that time he was comparing his life to Eyre's at the moment whether or not Eyre caught that he didn't care as he spoke again " and that's really low, mentioning my condition but when have a pureblood ever thought about others and the shit that they are going through. Although maybe mentioning it to you was a mistake but I do tell me friends about my condition and they all accept me for it gryffindor."
As Eyre spoke again, Henry now had thoughts spiraling around in his head so fast that he couldn't focus as Eyre words came to him and started to cut him like a knife. Who fucking said that words didn't hurt because they did and Henry knew that, he knew that all his life as when Eyre finished Henry looked up again before looking back to Eyre and speaking in a low voice " your right I don't know you but I do know that people have bigger and worse fucking problems then you so you should open your eyes to the possibility that others can go through worse things than you," Henry now thought about himself, Logan, and all his other friends who were going through things and then he remembered that Anastasia Beckett was Eyre's friend and he was there in the hall where the fight broke out and the girl had plenty of her her own problems so the cunning slytherin finally did something cunning for once.
" Why don't you see that compared to other your problems are childish. Just ask anyone who seen the real world and was never shielded from it like you, go ahead ask anyone? Ask me, go ahead or maybe you prefer to ask your best friend Anastasia Beckett who has her own real fucking problems this year. Problems that you wouldn't understand because you never had to worry about them, now I don't know you and you don't know me but I am certain that you have no idea what problems I go through, problems that you never had to deal with. Because I'm so fucking sure that you never went to bed hungry or was left alone at your house all fucking night when you were 6." Henry never usually let his emotions show but that day he couldn't help but explode since his life was taking a turn for the worse and he couldn't handle when others said they understood what he was going through or were going through worse problems as he spoke again " And don't call me dog boy, Reeves."
