Forward Dated to 09/23/2020 During Breakfast Time.

Percival's morning had gone the way they usually did with him getting ready in a tired haze. For once, he had woken up by himself without the help of a rightfully cautious dormmate. He had never been a morning person. Sadly, that ability had been granted to both his brother's, but seemingly skipped him. Though for once in the boy's life he had decided to not be late to breakfast. He had something important to do today. Percival had wanted to talk to Selim again. The two had barely spoken since the Blossom Ball incident. To say the least, Percival was curious about his mysterious dormmate. Coupled with the fact that he had begun to like the other boy.

It would have probably been easier to talk to the other when they were in the dorms. Though when he had looked around for the shorter boy he could not pick him out among their dormmates. Percival came to the conclusion the other must have already woken up and left for breakfast. Despite waking up on time, Percival still left later than the majority of his dormmates. Percival's hair, sadly, was the reason behind him leaving later. His hair was well known for being chaotic in the mornings. Hair sticking up in weird places, and being overall fluffy. It was nothing that a bit of product wouldn't take care of, but never the less it did take him long to get ready.

The boy made his way down to the Great Hall, and most importantly breakfast. He was so hungry that he was certain that he could eat an entire horse. His steps fell into sync with Hanako as the two walked down to breakfast. It wasn't clear to him if the other had purposely waited for him or if the other had just lost track of time while getting ready. Though it wasn't at the forefront of his mind at the moment. The boy glanced about the Slytherin tables trying to make out the form of Selim as he and Hanako walked into the Great Hall. If he could find the boy he could direct him and Hanako to sit at the same table. That way he could talk to the other boy. Though he doubted Hanako would enjoy moving seats. It seemed like he wouldn't have to worry about upsetting Hanako, As to his disappointment, Percival found he had trouble locating the other boy. In defeat, Percival quickly sat in their usual seats at the long wooded table that made up the Great Hall. The boy grabbed a simple breakfast. Sausages, toast, and eggs lay on his plate invitingly, and he wasted no time eating.

As he ate his food he glanced about the Slytherin tables trying to make out the black-haired boy. Percival inwardly grumbled in disappointment as he began to debate why the boy wouldn't be at breakfast. He doubted that the other had already come to breakfast. Seeing how he had only been a few minutes late. Percival tapped his fingers against the wood of the table trying to figure out where the other could be. It was possible the other was still in their dorm. His eyes sparked slightly at that thought. It was entirely possible that he had simply overlooked the boy. Maybe he had been sleeping or had decided to take a shower.

Percival stood up from the table suddenly probably spooking a couple of students at his abruptness. The corner of his mouths pulled slightly downward before looking back to Hanako. "I forgot to do. . . my charms homework! I'll see you later Hana. he stated before grabbing his unused napkin. The boy took the napkin nabbing a croissant. This probably raised a few brows to anyone who was paying attention, as Percival had made it fairly clear he disliked the taste of croissants. The boy quickly evacuated the Great Hall not bothering to look back at Hanako. Afraid that if he did the other would see through his half hazard put together lie.

The boy started on his journey back towards the Severus Snape Dormroom. Fueled by the thought that the other was late to breakfast because he was getting ready. He made his way down the corridor glancing into the Courtyard as he walked by. It had been nothing short of instinct to look and he hadn't expected anyone to actually be in the Courtyard. Percival did a double-take as he thought he saw something hanging from a tree. The boy came to a stop in surprise his eyes widening to show how he felt. By chance, he had found Selim Faust, not in their dorms but hanging from a tree in the Courtyard. Percival frowned to himself before approaching the boy. He clutched the croissant in his right hand a little tighter as he stopped in front of the boy. Selim seemed to be reading a book while upside down. Something that Percival hadn't exactly expected the other to be doing while hanging upside down. He wondered how the other got past the blood rushing to his head.

"Why are you hanging upside down?" he asked his nose wrinkling up slightly as he stared up at the boy in front of him. It wasn't every day that someone was taller then Percival, but on the tree branch, he had to crane his neck to stare at the boy. His eyes caught a small black shape on the same branch as Selim. Percival frowned at the cat hoping it would stay exactly where it was. Away from him.

"I noticed you weren’t at breakfast. . .So I brought you a croissant.” he said holding out the croissant so the other could see it. He hoped the other boy liked croissants. If he didn’t, Percival wasn’t so sure what he would do with it. Especially since he himself despised croissants. It had also just occurred to himself that the other boy had probably wanted to be alone.

Selim was, indeed, hanging upside-down from a tree branch, reading, like some oversized bat.

His legs were firmly hooked around the wooden limb, Kioshi, his cat, was, in fact, licking a bento box that was also balanced precariously on the tree bow.

Every once in a while, Selim would do an upside-down pull-up and reach out a hand, stroking his feline while letting the blood drain from his head before going limp once more to just hang there.

Why was he doing this? Who knows, ever since Selim had returned from summer he had been acting almost eccentric, his personality from his first Year and Hogwarts seeming to have done a complete 180. When before, he was professional, now he wasn't, he seemed to no longer care about his appearance, not bothering to hide the bags under his eyes and the faint stress lines that were etched into his face, like a scar.

He even seemed to purposefully go out of his way to annoy professors by being late to classes every, single, day. He probably annoyed some stiff students with his tardiness too.

The only thing that wasn't new was the fact that he often slept through class, and still got A's on quizzes, tests, and homework.

He was lazy, but one trait from Jack seemed to have rubbed off on him, being impish. He enjoyed occasionally messing with people, playing mind games (which would explain his purposeful tardiness and outlandish excuses for said tardiness).

All in all... he wasn't the Selim his dormmates knew... and tolerated, though perhaps Jack didn't care, because some of Selim's new quirks were echos of how he acted when he first came to Hogwarts, before everything... broke.

... And now he was hanging upside down from a tree.

"Why are you hanging upside down?"

Selim looked up.... or was it down(?) from his book, staring at the face of yet another one of his dormmates looking up at him. The raven blinked, brown raising, "Why aren't you?" Seems Percival wasn't going to get a straightforward answer from this boy.

Kioshi meowed, looking down at Selim's tea time partner from his first year, before shifting.

The feline then bodily climbed down the pale-skinned second-year, balancing on Selim's arm and stretching its neck to sniff the blond from a distance away, a purr rumbling in its chest as it became happy for some reason.

Honestly, that cat was unusually friendly and social, in contrast to how Selim acted.

Despite the cat on his arm, Selim seemed to keep his occupied limb steady, balancing the feline aptly as if this happened all the time.

"I noticed you weren’t at breakfast. . .So I brought you a croissant.”

Selim cocked his head to the side, humming absently "Usually I'm not present during meals, I just grab some food from the kitchen. So I have eaten." he paused for a moment, before flipping his pocketbook shut with one hand and storing it under his robe in a way that wouldn't let it fall out.

Despite his words, Selim reached out and took the offered croissant with his free hand, munching on it absently. "Your consideration is appreciated though." he said between bites.

Finishing off the pastry, Kioshi now settled in his free-hanging hood like a hammock, and, in turn, closer to the blond, Selim shot the boy an idly questioning look, "I doubt you looked for me to give me breakfast, since you haven't the multiple times before when I wasn't present to meals. So, Rainwood, what do you need?"

Briefly, Selim reached back up to the branch, his cat jumping to the ground with he movement, and grabbed the limb of the tree, releasing his legs and dropping to the ground in a crouch. Then, without a second thought, he sat down and flopped onto his back, arms pillowing his head.

He gave a pointed look to his dormmate, a gesture for Percival to do the same.

Wouldn't be comfortable to have to look up at his dormmate while they spoke.

Percival frowned slightly at the other's confusing answer to his question. Which the other had decided to answer with another question. He had come here to answer some of his questions not add to them. The boy's answer was too sarcastic and ambiguous to be an actual answer. So, Percival shrugged slightly as he studied the black cat as it meowed. Feelings of contempt and small flashes of fear swirled in his head as he narrowed his eyes at the cat. He decided not to answer the boy's question mainly because he didn't really know how to go about an answer.

It took only a second for him to realize he was still holding out the croissant. The boy felt a little stupid holding the croissant out to his dormmate. The thought hadn't dawned on him that the other probably had a way of getting food. It made sense if the other was never at meals. Selim could just not eat for a whole school year. Percival's hand dropped back down to his side as the other grabbed the croissant. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other before crossing his arms in front of himself. Percival couldn't stop the feelings of uncertainty as he studied the boy in front of him. To distract himself he decided to let his mind wander a bit. He decided to focus on why people liked croissants. He himself disliked the taste of the bland pastry, but at least he had been right that Selim liked croissants or at least didn't despise them. Percival was glad he didn't have his only excuse for seeking out the other dashed. Though it seemed like luck wasn't on his side today.

Percival was taken slightly by surprise as the boy pointed out something he hadn't realized. It had been a fact that he had completely forgotten about. Percival hadn't done this before. It seemed like such a small fact, but in the weeks that they have been there not once did he bring the other breakfast. He felt like he had been called out which in truth he had been. There wasn't much he could have done against the sharp wit of his dormmate. "I suppose that is true. Though I am not here because I need something per se" he said his brows furrowing slightly as he spoke. Percival knew his answer was vague, but he didn't exactly care to elaborate at this moment in time.

His gaze followed the movement of Selim as he jumped off the branch and fell towards the Earth. Percival's eyes widened slightly in surprise not expecting the sudden change in the elevation of Selim. Though he watched as the boy recovered from the fall with nothing short of grace. Percival could not stop the feeling of slight amazement at that. He was certain if it had been him he would have at least stumbled. The action reminded him of the black cat that had previously jumped to the ground with the same amount of grace.

Percival gave the other boy a slightly confused look as the other flopped backward onto the ground. It wasn't until his dormmate's pointed look that he understood what he wanted. The boy moved forward to ease himself onto the soft grass to the right of Selim. Inwardly glad that it hadn't rained recently. The thought of dewy grass soaking his school robes was not an appealing idea. Percival carefully situated himself down onto the grass mirroring the other's boy's position. His gaze naturally turned upwards towards the cloud-filled sky. The smell of dirt and grass was strong and it helped center Percival a little. The boy sat quietly for a few moments before glancing towards his left. "I guess I sought you out because I was a bit curious." he said his gaze sliding away from the other's face back to the sky. He decided to leave it at that for the time being. It didn't seem right to just press the other right out of the gate. The last thing he wanted to do was to annoy the other. His brows furrowed together as he inwardly debated with himself. It was entirely possible he had already done so. Instead of continuing that thought, Percival distracted himself by watching the clouds drift by for the time being.

Just as he thought another basic breakfast with Rainwood will pass by and his scheduled sleep in the 2nd period would end in a flash, Percival shook Hanako as well as s few other students with his abrupt announcement. An announcement that Hanako didn’t try to resist laughing at. Charms Homework? Rainwood certainly wasn’t the best liar Hanako has come across but was he that bad? Homework + Percival Rainwood ≠ Care. It’s something that hasn’t changed since they met yet to suddenly care for it was a question Hanako couldn’t focus on as he was too busy trying to stop laughing.

He didn’t even give a reply to his companion before he started making his way towards the exit. “ Pssffttt- what a cutie ~” he unconsciously muttered as he saw the blonde’s retreating form. It still amazed him how a different character from himself had become such a close companion. I guess the saying about opposites attracting was true. Despite his blatant lie, Hanako was ready to get back to his breakfast in a more slightly entertained mood until his eye caught the croissant poking out of Percy’s grasp before he completely disappeared from the Great Hall.

A...croissant? When did he get that? More importantly- w h y. Having breakfast with Percival more than a couple of times had taught him a few things about Percival’s palette. For one, he had a fine one. The palette of a Pureblood- Hana guessed. But one thing he knows for sure is Rainwood unexplainable hatred for Croissants. Breads were fine, but for some reason, Croissant crossed the line. Whatever minor curiosity Hanako had before had now risen considerably with this confirmed fact. Leaving the few bits of his breakfast to grow cold, he started taking a slow pace out of the Great Hall in hopes of catching a tufts of blonde hair.

Doing homework was unconvincing enough, but while eating croissant? Impossible. Hanako had more love for himself than Percival’s love for a croissant. And that wasn’t much to begin with. What was he going to? N o t follow him and see what he’s up to? Hanako didn’t peg himself for someone that liked to poke his nose in things he shouldn’t but it was different when it came to Percival. Of course, he already had a certain suspicion as to why he’d bring a food he despised and ran off away from Hanako. He just..wanted to confirm it wasn’t true.

A twisted knot formed itself inside his stomach as he rose from his seat. With every step he took, the deeper understanding and realization as to what he’s doing- which most consider a frowned upon activity called stalking. But stalking was a long term thing, Hana tried to assure himself. He only wanted to see what he wanted to hide so much that encouraged Percival to lie ( and terribly at that). A one-time thing, he mumbled to himself as he kept the distance between him and the blonde Slytherin far enough just to see him in the distance.

From afar, Hanako hid himself behind everything he could find. Columns, walls, potted plants- anything that could keep him hidden. It seemed like the places he hid behind were well-chosen considering how Percival didn’t even take one look behind. Hanako continued to watch him curiously as Percival took a step in the courtyard. Did he simply wanted to switch up his regular eating spot? That was the best theory Hanako to think about but there were too many illogical responses to that- like why a croissant? Why the lie? Not wanting to admit to himself that Percival rather eat a croissant alone than sit through another breakfast with Hanako- he unconsciously took a step closer to the area, his eyebrows slightly furrowed as he ignored the knot in his stomach growing tighter.

With a more open view of the area- Hanako caught the appearance of a student..er..a student? Hanging from a tree like a bat? What the hell? Who does that? If not for Hanako sharing the same dorm with him- it would’ve taken a while to guess who Percival was talking to. Selim Faust. A creepy dormmate Hanako had never bothered to learn more about in their 1st year and he assumed it was the same for the other. The two just seemed to have a lack of similar interests with just a glance at how different they appear to be. In fact, he never planned to change their current relationship- until now that is.

He deeply hoped it was a chance meeting between the two. It was pretty hard to miss someone hanging upside down from a tree. He wanted to think of Selim as a stray cat at the moment. Okay, maybe not cat considering how Percival hates those four-legged creatures. A small critter that Percival thought was hungry and decided to share his croissant. A croissant….he didn’t even like...and a critter he coincidently found…

Did he miss something that happened between the two boys? When did they get so chummy? Was he why Percival left him? Upset was an understatement. If only Rainwood had not lied- perhaps Hanako wouldn’t overthink the situation so much to the point he didn’t notice his hand unconsciously clawing down on the column he was hiding behind. The deadly glare he wore on his face only matched a burning feeling rising within him. It was difficult to pinpoint who exactly was making him like this.

Percival who decided he was tired of Hanako and went after another kid or Faust who happened to be that kid. No matter what, there was no denying to urge to rip them apart from each other. Seeing the two continue to talk had only angered the Japanese that he was this close to stomping there and ruining their friendly little chat. Didn’t he promise he’d only be here for a while? He couldn’t recall as he was too busy glaring daggers at Faust and finding out a way to stop them from interacting any further.

Before he could take action, his hand that had previously been clawing down a column had slipped- harshly scraping Hanako’s knuckles against the stony surface. “ Aff--! “ he bit down his lips before he screamed but was unable to hold back a curse. “ shit “ he whispered harshly, eyeing the minor injury on his knuckles from the harsh impact. Hanako wasn’t a dan of injuries he tries to stay as injury-free as possible but for once, he was grateful. It felt like he could breathe again. The more he inspected his injury, the more he realized what he was doing. His face immediately softened as it grew more worried than ever.

Just what was he about to do? Possessive wasn’t a term he liked to call himself but what else would he describe it?! He followed Percival and was about to completely ruin his private conversation with Faust and even got injured simply thinking about it. More than furious at Percival for leaving him and lying so he could have a nice chat with someone else- he was terrified. Immensely utterly- terrified.

What was he doing so wrong that Percival just couldn’t sit still?

Going against his better judgement ( because someone wanted more sause with the tea ) he took a glance at the two boys, once again confirming that he was left behind. There was a childish hope that perhaps, Percival would remember he had another friend waiting for his return at the Great Hall. It wouldn't be easy to explain why said friend was just around the corner but if that's what it took to have him leave Faust then so be it.

And so he stared from behind the wall. Previous anger only decreased yet it was still there mixed with a pleading look. A silent stare that can only be interpreted as ' I'm not telling you what I want but I'm making it obvious enough I want you to do it' . And what Hanako wanted was Faust to get the hell away from Percival.

Selim watched with half-lidded eyes as the other boy laid beside him smirking lightly.

His gaze roamed the sky above for a few moments, listening as his dormmate spoke, seeming a tad unsure of himself. Honestly, it was adorable how he was trying to be so cautious around him, but rather ineffective. Beating around the bush was only useful in certain situations, this wasn't one of them.

He sat up, about to speak, but then his ever-wandering eyes caught sight of something... or someone.

They were hiding behind a column, and Selim could easily feel the heated glare from them. Though, instead of staring back, Selim's gaze slid back to his companion, as if he hadn't seen a thing.

Though, there was a new, more amused smirk on his face now. A burst of mischief hit him at that moment, as he realized the only reason that person would be glaring at him is if he had a vendetta against him, or was jealous.

Of course, Selim couldn't pass up the opportunity to mess with them. He had been getting rather bored these past few days, and having someone hate him and, most likely, want to make it their personal goal to try and get 'revenge'...

Well, it'd be the perfect distraction during these dull days. Prodigies had to stay amused, or problems would arise.

So, Selim changed his position, crouching down on the balls of his feet as he peered at Percival, a charming but slightly impish smile on his face. His half-lidded amber eyes twinkled in the sun, a spark of life in them, so different from the dull, flat ones that Rainwood would've seen in Selim's first year.

He bet down, closer to the boy, seeming oddly fox-like in that moment, as if Burnett had rubbed off on him.

To their viewer, perhaps the close proximity and position looked like they were kissing.

They weren't of course, Selim''s expression was playful, nothing like those expressions romance shows liked to plaster onto their actors.

Selim let out a melodic chuckle, booping Percival on the nose mirthfully. "My, my Rainwood, why so hesitant? You don't have to act so closed-off around me. Just tell me what you're curious about. I Assure you, I'm not as volatile as I was in our first year together, I won't react harshly."

His smile shifted into a more friendly one as he leaned back, sitting beside his dormmate in a cross-legged position. One elbow was propped on his knee, holding his head up laxly. The other rested on the ground, in such a way that Selim estimated would look like he was holding hands with the boy.

He wasn't, the freehand was, instead, pulling idly on the grass.

Though, with how far away their little stalker was, it would be very hard to tell if this interaction was between a couple or just two dormmates, one simply seeking answers to an unknown question.

The new impish side of Selim was laughing, he was having fun, he loved messing with people. It was honestly one of the few things he enjoyed right now.

Kioshi, by now, and wandered a little ways off, finding a lovely flat rock that was just perfect for sunbathing. The cat was now sprawled on his back, paws in the air, and fluffy stomach squished outwards a bit, like a pancake. His dark fur was easily helping him absorb the sun's rays, making him purr in perfect contentment.

A part of him missed his interaction with the Fox. If only things hadn't taken such a turn last year, perhaps, by now, they would've been able to freely admit they were friends.

But Selim shook off such thoughts.

This was better, for both of them.

Percival glanced slightly towards where Selim lay as the other sat upwards suddenly. Inwardly a rush of doubt overcame him. He wondered if the other had decided that he was no longer worth the time. That the other would just stand up unannounced and walk away. Leaving Percival in the grass by himself to look like a fool. Inwardly he was glad that Selim was only shifting his position, Percival wasn't so sure he wanted to know how that awkwardness would feel.

From his position laying in the grass, Percival did not see the jealous person hiding nearby or the change in Selim's expression. It wasn't till Selim had changed positions to look down at him did he realize there was a change. The other boy's face held a mischievous look to it, and it reminded him far too much of Burnett. Percival's brows furrowed slightly as he wondered why the other was leaning down closer towards him. His first thought was that Selim was going to whisper something to him. Though confusion spread through him at the growing close proximity of the other's face. Percival wondered when Selim had gotten so close. Any closer and it would have been too close for comfort. The other wore a playful expression on his face. An expression that had him raising his right eyebrow. As he inwardly guessed the other was probably just trying to mess with him.

Percival scrunched his nose up as Selim booped his nose. His surprise was clear on his face before shifting back into confusion as he tried to comprehend what exactly just happened. "Did you just...?" he started but ended all too quickly not finishing his sentence. His words more of a thought accidentally spoken out loud.

He guessed that Selim's words had truth to them. He himself wasn't the same as he had been in his first year at Hogwarts. It would be unfair to hold Selim to a standard that didn't exist. People were supposed to change and grow. It would be weird if they didn't. Besides it made sense, he was fairly certain a first-year Selim would have definitely not booped his nose.

He took the time to mull over the other's words as Selim repositioned himself. The boy paid little to no attention to how Selim positioned himself. Instead, looking towards the clouds to try and recenter himself. Percival could hear the snapping of grass as it was pulled from the Earth somewhere near his hands bringing him out of his thoughts for a moment. It reminded him that the other boy was only a couple of inches away from him. Percival wondered why the other was being so nice. Selim was still there despite knowing that Percival only wanted to sate his curiosity. The other was putting up with him despite not having to. If he had been any smarter, Percival would have asked if there was a catch. Though right now when faced with the chance to quench his curiosity he lept forward and took it.

Percival decided to start with one question. Deciding to make it a good one, he decided to ask one of his more burning questions. "Last year I noticed your bed was empty a lot. I was always wondering what you were up to. So..what would you do at night?" he asked shifting his head to look up at Selim as he waited for an answer.

[font=PT Sans]So let’s talk about rage, yeah? Rage is the feeling of undesirable situations arising, the continuous existence of cats and losing in a game like flappy bird. With extreme emotions like rage, there is a high chance your logic and reasoning got kicked out of your brain. That’s why Hanako sees emotions as a waste of space and energy. So what did he do seeing another boy getting too close to h i s possession? Well, of course, he had to ruin it.

At first, he planned to get back at them later, taking an angry stride away from the scene momentarily. Once out of sight, he stopped. Aware of how he was spiraling out of control, he forgot that Percival wasn’t ‘his’ yet. There was no logical reasoning as to why he h a d to know who Percival was talking to and keep him away from that. Yet, like we talked about before, logic was no present when it comes to rage- or..jealousy, to be specific. Assuring himself that he was definitely more upset that a taken boy had another clinging onto him, he strode back in the most calm walk he could muster at the moment. To make it seem like he didn’t just stalk them.

Once he was somewhere where the pair could clearly see him, he turned to them as if he j u s t saw them. It didn’t matter if the pair didn’t notice him with a big loud “O i ~!” as he showed them a cheeky smile which looked more forced than usual, to someone who hung out with him a lot. Gaining their attention, it was like a big burst of relief just flowed through him before the fear of the consequences kicked in. With each step Hanako took towards the pair, he thought that perhaps this wasn’t a good idea. Yet, the sense that he was the one to separate and ruin any chances of the two getting along too well made him...happy?

This is what friends do right?

Ohhhohoho ~? What’s this~? “ he gleamed “ A gathering? Without - M e ? ! ? Poor unfortunate souls. You two are lucky I saw you guys here earlier~. What is a nice..... friendly…” he paused for a moment, his eyes on Faust as his smile slightly tightened “ completely platonic groupie if I’m not here to shine everyone’s day with my whole being and effortless beauty~? “

Yes, this was a good way to ruin the two. If Faust was anything like Percival’s significant other, he would be put off by how Rainwood was still friends with someone like Hanako. Hanako personally didn’t mind, as long as his whole existence was enough to push everyone else away. Previously, it was what he lived for. So why not use it to protect someone else?

Without waiting for permission from the two, he chose to sit down on the grass as well. A clean spot in front of the two yet close enough between them to stop any further fake kissing if anything comes to that.

Hmmm...” he faked a curious glance at Selim, head tilting to the side as if there were something to be figured out by looking at the sick looking ( literally and figuratively ) before cracking out a sarcastic smile. In a tone, lightly laced with bitterness he couldn’t conceal, he said :

I don’t think we’ve interacted before. Shame we couldn’t continue what we had before but...any friend of Rainwood is a friend of mine~” he ended the sentence with a lighter, more playful tone and a sweeter smile but it wouldn’t take a genius to know he wasn’t very fond of Selim Faust.

Selim was about to respond to Percival until their little stalker finally stepped in instead of being a 'coward'. A sly smirk curled up the raven's face as he leaned back, opening the area to the new arrival, looking at the fellow Japanese boy with a glint in his eyes.

At Hanako Tone's words, the second-year mask master chuckled almost musically. "Oh, I'm sure we easily could've managed without you. I thought we were getting along splendidly, weren't we, Rainwood?" He smiled charmingly, but there was a cunning sort of light in his eyes. "Personally though, I prefer cloudy days, I'm not too fond of being blinded by a mass of flaming gas trillions upon trillions of miles away from the earth." He snickered, "Though, Kioshi loves the sun, maybe ask him to bathe in your presence."

As if confirming this, the feline in question let out a drowsy meow from where he was sprawled across the rock, before yawning.

Pointedly, Selim flopped back onto his back beside Percival, sprawling lazily across the ground, reminiscent of the cat a few feet away.

At Tone's next words, he yawned, "No, we haven't met, probably because of your seeming dislike of cats." He was completely unfazed by tone, he had dealt with geese scarier than him.

And that wasn't a lie, at one point in the compound, a goose from the farm had gotten into the head house's garden. Selim had tried to chase it away, but it just hissed at him, like a feathered demon, then chased him around the courtyard, wings flapping.

It was horrifying.

Selim examined his nails, humming lightly, honestly, he was contemplating whether or not he should bother training today. His tou-sama had told him to keep up training while in school, not really saying anything about keeping up his grades (Probably because Selim was considered a prodigy by social standards).

Honestly, though, he felt like dozing with his cat, ignoring the world around him.

Though he supposed this was just as pleasing as dozing. Who wouldn't enjoy messing with the overly-possessive boy?

Truly amusing.

"With how you were stalking us earlier, I wonder if you and Rainwood here are dating?"

[font=PT Sans] Aw man how Hanako wanted to spray water at Faust’s face. He couldn’t wait to get back to his common room with Percival in hand and meditate on a reality where he could do just that over and over again. Without getting killed in the process by Faust. ‘ Faust sounded much better while he was pretending to sleep’, Hanako allowed the thought to pass by. His hands curled harshly into the grassy grounds at every line that passed out of Faust’s mouth. Despite that, he still managed to keep a fake adorable smile on his face. One that got tighter at the mention of Keylosh.Kioshi Haha - did you learn your humor from your buddy, Jackie boi? “ he joked back, forcing back his tense shoulders to relax. Hanako was positive Faust had only said that to be funny, but his body could only react negatively to any mention of the C-word. “ I’m sure Percival- whom you’ve been getting along splendidly- will enjoy that 4 legged bea- “he stopped himself in case the creepy roommate took out a knife at his choice of words. “ ..eccentric creature, just as much as I do~”

Just as he said that, he heard a shriek Kioshi's meow meant to haunt every fiber of his being and could barely stop himself from leaving right then and there. Not when Faust looked the more relaxed of all. Especially not when he’s with Rainwood. Fighting against his instincts, he stayed put on the ground, opting for a cross-legged position where he could clearly see the cat a few feet away. Probably getting ready to create a hole straight to hell. With that, the thought of being awkward that he was the only one not laying on the ground never came to him.

"No, we haven't met, probably because of your seeming dislike of cats."

Only because of that~?” he scoffed, followed by a humorless laugh. “Hmmm..I’ll be quite upset if that could be the only reason, you know~? But I suppose I can relate. I mean, I personally wouldn’t be keen on conversing with the guy that forced me to take allergy medicine every day, but hey here we are~”. He exclaimed, his bright grin not matching his tired tone. ”hajimemashite douzo yoroshiku oneigaishimasu~” he chimed innocently in his usual British accent, unsure what it really meant. Only that it’s what you say to new people, he assumed after seeing his grandmother converse with new friends. Half of him hoped it was actually an insult. It's nice to meet you

At the mention of his stalking and relationship with Percival, he couldn’t hide his shock for several seconds before opting to cough out uncomfortably. ” Hahaa..Well, aren’t you observant ~” He grumbled under his breath. There was no way these two who were laying flat on the ground could witness that right? No matter how anyone looked at it, Hanako looked like he was caught red-handed. It was no secret that Hanako was not a master of stealth nor disguise but it still amazed him how Faust could catch that. Was that how he targeted Percival? What a conniving cat lover. Never trust people who wear contacts to have eyes like a cat, Percival! Goddamit! He had to change the topic q u i c k.

I love the idea of dating anyone as much as I love cats~” he confidently retorted, brushing off his hands hoping the wind would catch some of the grass and dirt from it and send it flying to Faust’s slappable face. “And if by stalking you meant surprised- no-astounded that none of you invited me to a nice picnic like this, then yes I ‘ stalked’ you two”. He made a sarcastic quote movement with his hands when he said ' stalked', actively expressing his lack of damns to give. He then interlaced his hands and reached for the sky, giving himself a quick relaxing stretch before becoming the worst side he has.

Oh hey wait a minute! I’ve seen this scene before in the movies. Hold on wait “ he pointed towards Faust“ side character. Jealous over the main villain’s close relationship with-” he changed his pointed finger to Percival. “lead. And tries to ask in the m o s t sly way, if they are dating. Cue the tsundere-ness. Cue the side-way glances. Cue the dramatic close-ups before the 5-minute commercials” he paused his overdramatic hand gestures and tone, not caring if the two even bothered to give him any attention.

Pretty sure this would be the part when the villain laughs” as if horribly scripted, he let out a terribly loud fake laugh before stopping abruptly. “ After a devious laugh, the villain, able to see through the side character unlike the thick-headed lead, he’d ask in a taunting manner ‘ Why? Side character~?I n t e r e s t e d i In H i MmM ~? “. he taunted Faust, with a glare that was for all they know was just Hanako being cringingly dramatic again. None of that mattered compared to his desire to know why the hell is Faust all close and nice to Rainwood. So what if he had to talk nonsense about movies, commercial breaks, and side characters. It was Selim Faust he wanted to know about.

While he had hidden his real curiosity behind a cliche villain character in a movie that lacked creative dialogs, would that look the same to the other two boys? Was that heated glare really the glare of a boy merely pretending to be an overprotective boy blinded by jealousy?

Percival felt his eyes widen as someone else spoke from a little ways away. Surprised the boy brought himself slightly upwards resting on his elbows remaining in his reclined position. Easily, Percival was able to spot and recognize the familiar form that made his way towards them. For some reason, it felt as if he had been caught doing something wrong. Most likely because he lied to Hanako about where he was going. Percival could only hope that the other hadn't put much thought into his lie. "Hey Hana." he said grinning up at the other.

The boy's brow furrowed slightly as he watched Hanako sit on the grass. Percival could count on one hand how many times he had seen Hanako willingly sit on the ground. The last time being the incident at the lake. The boy's worry melted away as the other spoke in a friendly tone. Percival allowed himself to lay back down onto his back. Bringing his hands back up under his head as he looked back up at the sky. Percival turned slightly as Selim spoke. The boy was happily surprised that the other thought they were getting along with one another. Percival nodded giving the other a smile. "Of course." he parroted back.

Percival inwardly winced at the mentioning of a certain furred beast. The boy let out a soft breathy chuckle not really answering Hanako's statement about his dislike for cats. He had honestly forgotten that the cat was there. Seeing how it had thankfully stayed away during his and Selim's conversation. Though it appeared Selim's words had sparked the feline into letting out a tired meow. So small that it was hard to believe that it had come from a cat. Thankfully, the furry animal had not moved from its spot. The boy briefly glanced towards Selim as the other flopped back down next to him. He didn't think much about it seeing it as a simple return to an earlier position. It did leave Hanako the outlier sitting up while everyone else was lying prone.

The boy allowed himself to drift out of the conversations staring up at a particularly interesting patch of clouds. Though the boy's focus was ripped back towards the two boys near him at Selim's words. Percival sharply inhaled before promptly choking on the saliva in the back of his throat. Coughing the boy brought a hand up to his mouth. Before promptly turning his head away from Selim to avoid being rude. His coughing quickly into breathless laughter as he tried to reign himself back in. The thought of Hanako actually stalking him seemed absurd, and the thought of them dating seemed just as absurd. That last thought didn't truly hold as much conviction as his first statement. His brain mulled at the idea for a few seconds, but he decided to deal with it as he dealt with everything. He ignored it.

Percival bit his lip as Hanako brought up the fact that he hadn't been invited. It looked like luck would not be on his side today. "Sorry about that Hana I didn't know you wanted to come." he said glancing upwards where he could see just the top of Hanako's head. Percival sat back up onto his elbows when Hanako exclaimed loudly. A chortle slipped out between his lips as he gave Hanako a lopsided smile. "Got this all planned out. Do you? he said biting at his lips to try to keep himself from full-on laughing. "Why do you get to be the villain? he asked jokingly after he calmed himself down from going into a laughing fit. Percival snorted as Hanako finished his monologing of their life as if they were part of a book. The boy eased himself back down onto his back. Absentmindedly picking at the grass between him and Selim.
