It wasn’t unusual for the Springhalls to go on a trip in the Diagon Alley. Well, at least, the Springhalls in England.
Her mother dragged her along for some new robes. The robes were for Carolyn, as she would soon go to a ball held by wealthy wizards. The balls were usually loud, noisy, and full of ugly, fat old men. Lindsey never liked that sort of things.
The six year old girl sighed. She did not want to go with her mother. Her dad took her brother to buy books. That’s what she wanted to do, but…
“Be quick, Lynn, or we can’t have enough time for trying on.” her mother smiled sweetly.
We? Shan’t that be you only? Lindsey asked back silently in her heart. Weird, her mother was always kind and good. Maybe every women liked pretty clothes.
She smirked when thinking this. Eventually she would grow into a lady as well…oh dear. She would never, never grow up. Never.
They passed several shops. There were numerous in the Alley, but actually, only three shops could catch the girl’s young eyes. Madam Malkin was not included, apparently.
Hey…ICE CREAM!
“Mom?” Lindsey raised up her young head. “I… she pointed at the shop.
She saw her mother smiled. “I know, but Lynn…”
“Mom, I’m six!”
Her mother sighed. Lindsey somehow felt that she was going to win this fight. Mothers were always kind and soft hearted to her children.
“Alright, then, but you mustn’t go anywhere else till I come and fetch you.” her mom’s voice became rather strict.
Lindsey was a little disappointed, because she somehow hoped to manage get to the Ollivanders or the Flourish and Blotts. But, at least she did not need to company her mother and buy dull robes.
“Understood!” Lindsey answered merrily. She grabbed some coins in her pocket, and ran towards the shop.

Saying the Isaacs family was large was an understatement. The mother and the father, Ivory and Oscar were pulling suitcases along with 4 young children along behind them. Strapped to the front of the mother was a 5th child only about a month old. Even though he had been born a month prior that didn't stop the parents from still going on their vacation. The oldest of the group was a petite girl of about 5.
Liz was swiveling her head left and right. This was the first time she had been old enough to walk around Diagon Alley and remember it. She was taken in by the many wonders and having just started her lessons with their tutor, Ms. Madeline, she was trying to read everything possible. She held her mothers hand and walked with her. Ivory looked down at her oldest's head lovingly. "Are you excited to finally be here Liz? I know you have been begging to go ever since Madeline brought it up to you. We get to spend 3 days here and we can see all the shops. You will be coming here when you're older to get your stuff for Hog-" she was cut off by Liz's loud yell of "ICE CREAM!"
Ivory sighed and turned her head to the parlour the parents had been trying to sneak past. "Mommy! Daddy! Please can I go get Ice Cream?!" she asked. Her siblings who were old enough to understand all turned their heads, wanting some too. Oscar grumbled, but said nothing as he pulled out his coin purse. He pulled out a few galleons and put them in Liz's small hands. Ivory shot him a glare. As the three kids, Liz, Beatrix, and Oscar Jr., whom they called Ozzy, ran towards the shop they heard the fading sounds of yet another argument between their parents.
They paid no mind and ran to the shop happily where Liz promptly ran into another girl, who looked about a year older. She yelped and took a step back, brushing off her dress.

Ice cream made Lindsey felt relieved. And happy. Sweet things always had these kinds of effects, and them made people felt good. Maybe the best sweet in all sweets were ice creams, well, at least the young girl thought so.
The six year old stood beside the counter, and the waiter looked at her with suspicious eyes. A small grin was given to the waiter, for Lindsey was struggling to choose between chocolate, lemon, and mango——she wanted to spend longer to make the choice.
As her eyes were fixed on the sweets, someone ran into her. Without thinking, Lindsey muttered “Sorry,” and quickly took a step back to take a good look of the intruder. That was a girl. No elder than six, which was her age, and looked pretty. With blonde hair and brown eyes, she was followed, or along with two other younger children. She also observed that two adults were behind, who might be these kids’ parents.
The new comer was busy brushing dust off her dress. Lindsey blushed. Was her clothes…that dirty? Maybe not. But she somehow liked this girl. She did not know why, but that was a strong sense——children’s sense, and often, it’s accurate.
“You are for ice cream as well?” She asked the girl with a smile. Before the girl could even speak, she quickly added, “Me too.” It was somehow awkward, but Lindsey had tried her best to make everything sounds great and attractive.
“Sir…I’d like some mango ice cream.” she walked up to the counter and put some coins on it. Mango. She finally made up her mind. Now it’s ice cream time——and maybe, talking time?

Liz looked up to see whom she had run into. Her big eyes went bigger as she was met with the sight of a pretty brown haired girl. A smile spread across her face as the girl said sorry. "Oh! I'm sorry! I ran into you! I was excited to get ice cream!" she said happily. She turned to the big board of every flavor ice cream imaginable. She skimmed through the list very slowly while her dad quietly muttered the flavors to her siblings.
The poor server just stood there waiting, looking unbelievably bored and irritable. Quietly Liz snuck peeks at the brunette girl. She was very attracted to her, wanting a new friend. She didn't have many at home as she was not allowed to talk to any muggles and the wizarding families nearby only had children much older than her. Turning back to the board she made her decision on Ginger Snap.
Christmas was her favorite holiday and she often got things that related to Christmas, hence the flavor choice. She heard the other girl order Mango about the same time she came up with her order. She looked over at her and say her pull out a coin to pay with. Liz hastened to do the same and ended up putting too much money on the counter.
The server sighed and took what he needed and began to make her order. Liz quickly skipped over to the girl. "Hi! It's me from earlier! I'm Elizabeth Bella Isaacs!, she said, trying to sound important, "But you can call me Liz! I heard that you got mango ice cream! I got ginger snap!"

She seemed merry and happy enough. This girl. Interesting and kind.
Lindsey was eager to make a new friend. She grew up with sibling and cousins, but they were all older than her. She really really hadn’t met many peers. Her parents promised that they would send her to a primary school nearby in September, but somehow, Lindsey wanted to meet a wizard. Instead of muggles.
Though she did not have any prejudice against the non magical world, still, she would prefer to meet someone with the same background and knowledge base. Wielding wands were much more interesting than doing laundries. At least she believed so.
She smiled when the girl apologized again. She seemed polite, and Lindsey especially liked polite ones. Her parents taught her the basic etiquettes, and though she wasn’t really used to them, Lindsey still appreciated those things.
She was waiting for her own ice cream after ordering it. The other girl got…ginger what? Ginger ice cream? She’s bold, yeah, to try such kind of things. At least her very own self would avoid such flavor——fruit, chocolate or vanilla were all good enough for her.
The girl came over to Lindsey after ordering the weird ginger ice cream. She introduced herself as Elizabeth Bella Issacs, whom Lindsey knew was from a large pureblood family. And that might be one of the etiquettes to introduce yourself using full names——plus middle names.
“Oh, it’s nice to meet you, Miss Issacs.” she answered. “My name’s Lindsey. Lindsey Florence Springhall.”
She really really wanted to laugh after making this strange introduction. Miss Issacs. Sounded like something an eighty-year-old old woman would do. But that’s what her grandfather taught her and Edmund and two cousins thousands of times. It’s polite, as he said.
And Lindsey finally got the right name of the food Elizabeth had ordered. Ginger snap. That’s a lot better. Somehow she felt relieved. Elizabeth was not a crazy girl, and she could definitely figure out a way to make friends with her.
“How old are you, by the way?” she asked curiously. “I’m six. Um well just a from few days ago, but still six.”
The words were said when she grabbed the ice cream prepared for her. When the first spoon of ice cream was sent to her mouth, the young girl smiled. Ice cream, plus a new friend, overall, today was a good day.

Liz smiled at the girl. Her hair only currently reached her shoulder's, as her parents had recently gotten it cut. She couldn't help but admire the other girls long silky hair. She always wanted long hair, wanting to be as feminine as possible. She quickly checked her dress again, making sure there were no extra folds in it. This had nothing to do with the other girl, it's just that Liz didn't really feel like getting in trouble with her mom for ruining yet another dress.
The girl introduced herself, calling Liz Miss Isaacs. This caused Liz to start laughing. She covered her mouth quickly with her hand, hoping she didn't offend the other girl. It's just that this girl, around the same age as her, had just called her Miss Isaacs. Like she was someones grandma or mother. After finally calming down she wiped a small tear from her eye. The girl had stated her age while Liz laughed, but the blonde managed to catch it.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to laugh! I wasn't laughing at you. It's just that you called me Miss Isaacs like I am someone's grandma. I'm 5. Turning 6 this December! I'm from Ireland! What about you?" She asked, remembering that the Isaacs family wasn't in their home country so maybe this girl lived some where more cool.
Liz lived in a large house on the edge of a forest in rural Ireland. They owned quite a bit of land and the Isaac kids were used to running around freely. They had no cares in the world. But now Liz was in this large city with tons of other witches and wizards and it was incredibly surreal to her. Especially the fact that people lived this close to each other.
Her Ice Cream was finally done and she quickly took it from the man, thanking him before taking her own bite. She let out a soft noise of bliss. It was so good.

Elizabeth laughed as soon as she stated “Miss Isaacs”. Was that so funny? Wondered Lindsey. Maybe. She did not know.
The explanation soon came itself. Someone’s grandma? Merlin, she did not have that kind of thoughts. Maybe she could use it to call Merlin’s wife. But this girl was truly fun. The blonde girl was definitely interesting, and Lindsey smirked when she told her she’s five.
“So we are nearly of the same age!” she exclaimed. “That’s fantastic!”
Honestly she had never played, or met someone of her age before. Growing up with an elder brother and three elder male cousins, Lindsey really hadn’t met a girl of her age. And now, when Elizabeth seemed really agreeable and fun, why shouldn’t she make friends with the girl? She was not forced. She just wanted to.
Elizabeth told her that she’s from Ireland. Ireland…that’s a far place to Lindsey. Growing up in Kensington, she had never been to somewhere out London except Paris and Sheffield. Which was a bit disappointing. Ireland, along with Scotland, sounded good for a travel. Maybe she’d ask her parents the next vacation…and maybe she could even visit Elizabeth, whom she considered a friend now.
“I live in Kensington! It’s in London, so pretty near here…” Lindsey answered. “It’s beautiful! Near the Kensington Palace!”
She’s proud of her own home. Big, it was, and well decorated. Though it’s among muggle mansions, Lindsey loved it. So adorable for a home…
And she smiled. Lindsey’s eyes landed on the two lively younger children. She was seeking something to talk…and there came the dumbest question.
“Are they your siblings?”
Sorry for it being a little short!

Liz took another bite of her Ice Cream and took in Lindsey. The girl was also a blonde and she seemed to also be well off like Liz's Family. When she said that she lived not far from London Liz perked up.
"Really?! That is so cool! I love London! I wish I lived here. We live out in the country in a big house. We have a lot of empty rooms because Mommy and Daddy are gonna have more babies. Or something. I don't know." she trailed off to take another bite of Ice Cream. She looked around for a table that the two girls could sit at, because they were kind of standing in the way.
She spotted one near one of the windows, but before she could suggest going over to it Lindsey asked about her siblings. Liz looked over at the gremlins and rolled her eyes. Yeah. they are! The older girl is Beatrix, the boy is Ollie, the younger Girl is Adison, and the baby is Dennis. I'm the oldest. It's really hard. Do you wanna go sit down? We are not in a hurry. We should talk more! I think you are super cool. We are friends. I say so!" she said and giggled. She took a bite of her ice cream and then reached out her hand for Lindsey to take so that she could lead the other girl to the table.

Interacting with @Elizabeth IsaacsSmirking, she took another small bite of her ice cream. Liz seemed so fun…as Lindsey had never met a proper wizard born girl before. She’s nice…
She quietly listened when Liz talked about her siblings. Wow, she had pretty many little friends…which she didn’t have. “I’m the youngest in my household! I have a brother that’s two years older than me, and one, two, three…yes three cousins! I’m the only girl as well.” she slightly chuckled. Though was the only girl, she had a great life — loving cousins count, right? “I don’t know whether my parents will bring a little sibling to me — but I think I would love it!”
Taking another bite of her ice cream, Lindsey chuckled. “Yes, we areeeee friends! You are amazing — I think so!” she seated herself opposite to Elizabeth. “Soooo Liz, are you expected to go to Hogwarts? I’ve been looking forward to it for a loooong time. Don’t you think it would gonna be super fun?”
Hogwarts was something she started talking a long time ago. Currently no Springhall children were attending it, so it made the school mysterious and unreachable. Her parents always smiled and told her how fantastic it was when she asked them about it. So as a result, Lindsey just couldn’t help asking information about it whenever she met a wizard child.
Her brown eyes looked yonder. Hopefully her mother wasn’t coming back soon…she still hoped to talk with Liz longer.
