Ruby was born on the 24th of October 2008. Her brother, Luke, died when she was six years old and her sister, Grace, died 3 months later, leaving her as the only child.

The first sign of magic was when she was 4 years old and was so angry at Luke that she made the dining table disappear. The second sign was 5 days later when she was looking at a glass of water and the water in the glass started to make a whirlpool.
