A Small Step Into The Future
Usually, for the beginning of the semester her parents had only dropped her off by the entrance of the station before apparating off after muttering a few well wishes. However, with her new adopted brother Heinrich, this year was an exception, it was Heinrich's first time to the station to see his older sister off - and partially to check out the magical wall she told him about. Aurelia thought that it was sweet, even more so that her very busy parents agreed on the idea. .
Before she could board the train, the young boy had gripped on to her wrist, three words leaving her lips that shot her straight into the chest and melting her heart. "Please don't go." the nine year old had pleaded asking for a deed they both knew that she could not possibly grant him. For the month of August, they had been spending quality time together, Heinrich was never too affectionate, for him to utter such words was a clear sign that he was starting to grow on her. Aurelia merely patted the shorter boy's head. "I trust that you take good care of Aspen while I am away." she instructed, before turning and stepping into the train without looking back.
How ever harsh it might seem, Aurelia could not see the young boy as a brother, not when her first was dead. Especially not when it all seemed like her first brother was being replaced by another child. Family they might be, but the fourteen year old needed more time to accept him. She had left an owl with Heinrich, after she came back from the quidditch stadium, Aspen had been acting odd and far more defensive whenever she came close to her pet, constantly screeching a attempting to bite her fingers. The reason to her behaviour was clear, Aurelia herself was the cause of her owl's growing aggression. Her presence, it was terrible. What ever affected people could have the same effect with animals as well. It was unusual not to have Aspen by her side, but there was not a chance she was bringing her to hogwarts, not when the massive bird attempted to bite her fingers off every chance she could.
Along the hall, Aurelia found a compartment to the back, one that had not yet been occupied. She heaved the trunk into the overhead compartment. She was in her forth year now, a monster hunter, a student, a club leader. How would the year pass? She had a feeling down in her gut that her fourth year at hogwarts would not go well for her.

A Small Step Into The Future
There Nick was, waiting for the train that was going to whisk him away to likely yet another interesting year at Hogwarts. Unlike last year, though, his mother had gotten off from work to seem him off. He would've prefered this during his First Year when he didn't know what to expect from Hogwarts, but he couldn't be too picky when it came to spending time with his mother.
Other than the obvious knowledge difference from last year, what was different for this year's trip was Nick was smuggling something into Hogwarts that his mother didn't know about. That something being his recently adopted pet pygmy puff, Chance. He had gotten Chance around a month ago despite knowing that his mother wouldn't want him and has kept him a secret from her ever since.
The problem wasn't that he was afraid his mother would've noticed Chance in the trunk, Nick had built a hidden compartment for Chance inside of it. The problem was, Chance was a very active creature, so he didn't want to keep him waiting in the trunk for too long. Alas, all he could do now was just give him extra love when he got onto the train.
Suddenly, without any warning, a sharp pain shot through Nick's head. He quickly clutched his head in pain, which caused his mother to come over to his side in concern. "Nick, what's wrong?" Nick's mom said, concerned. "It-it's fine maw, just a surprise headache, that's all. I'll be fine." Nick said, swatting away his mother. Nick didn't like worrying her, having another thing to stress her out was the last thing she needed.
By the time the train had pulled up to the platform, the pain in Nick's head hadn't ceased. He quickly said goodbye to his mother and pulled his trunk, which was feeling heavier and heavier every minute, onto the train. He stopped for a moment to see if that would help the headache. In truth, stopping somehow made the headache even worse.
Knowing that he needed to eventually find a compartment, he decided to just find one and deal with the headache from there. While he was walking down the train, the headache kept pounding more and more, and as much as he wanted to turn around or stop, there was this force just pulling him through the train.
After walking through the train for a bit, Nick felt the force pulling him towards one of the compartments. He gladly listened to it and barged into the compartment without warning to anyone who was inside. He didn't even bother to put his trunk in one of the upper compartments; he just wanted to rest and figure out how to stop the pain.
The pounding in his head was worse than ever before. Nick was shaking and gritting his teeth from the pain. It was so intense that he didn't even notice the girl in the compartment with him. It was like this was the focal point of the force, and it was all just pushing into him. He looked around the compartment to see if anything could possibly be out of the ordinary, that's when he finally noticed the girl. As soon as he locked eyes with her, his eyes glossed over, and everything went dark.When Nick came to, the headache ceased, and he was just sitting there completely shaken up. Even if it was still there, this... whatever it was... completely overwhelmed Nick's mind. He kept repeating it over and over again in his head, trying to make sense of that terrifying experience. He's had other experiences like this but they've normally involved him, so he assumed it was a weird dream. This was about a girl he's never met before, how could it be a dream?Out of the blackness came a deaf-defining scream unlike any Nick had heard before. A blinding light would flash before gnarly canine-like fangs bit into the darkness before dissipating. Another flash of light, followed by a lifeless girl covered in deep gouges of all kinds laying in a background of red; blood.

Finding her seat, Aurelia would reach to draw the blinds over the glass window and drowning out the glaring rays of afternoon sun before making herself comfortable. Even at rest, anyone traipsing down the corridor would feel a strange unsettling aura radiating from her compartment as they passed that would usher them away. Although Aurelia would be aware of the effect she had, the sentiment of fear that radiated from her body like a swarm would grant her some peace. For a few minutes, Aurelia would have the compartment to her own until the sudden entrance of the boy.
The sliding of the compartment door would come as a small fright to the resting girl and causing her to regain her perfect posture and alertness. Aurelia would realise that face of the invader of her space looked familiar, and quite pale as well. The loss of colour on his visage was prominent and it was evident that the boy was not feeling well, especially with the way he disregarded her presence. However, as much as Aurelia would love to use the three hour long ride to get some rest herself, this boy seemed in need of help.
"You don't look too good." she stated the obvious with genuine concern.
It was then that the boy finally lifted his head up to meet her gaze. Cloudy. The dark brown pupils morphed in colour, fading to a pale silver. The transition was a shock to Aurelia who let out a small exasperated gasp at the phenomenon. For a few moments, Aurelia stared at the recovering boy with her eyebrows furrowed in much confusion. But soon she gathered her thoughts and began assessing the situation. A non-human enthusiast she was and Aurelia could only assume that he was a metamorphagus.
The speculation, however, did not stop her from asking, "What happened there? Your eyes, I mean. Are you feeling all right?" Without so much as asking, the fourth year would extend a hand, the back of her palm pressing firmly against the boy's forehead, right above his brows. No, he was not heating up.

A Small Step Into The Future
The thoughts in Nick's head kept circling round and round as he tried to dissect them, trying to understand what they could possibly mean. After a moment, he realized the girl in the compartment with him was staring at him, understandably so. He had just made this big scene and didn't give her any explanation on what she had just witnessed. Nick tried his best to focus on her and give an explanation, but the words weren't coming out at the moment.
As he watched the girl speak to him, Nick tried his best to concentrate on the words and his mind was completely shaken up. He didn't have the brain capacity to analyze her face at the moment, her mouth being the only thing he could hone in on. As he listened, it dawned on him the strange aura inside the compartment that kind of felt like it was driving Nick away. He was too flustered to care at the moment, but strangely it felt really similar to the force that was pulling him here in the first place.
His eyes widened with visible confusion and concern. What had happened to his eyes? Did they change colour or roll to the back of his head? For all he could've known, they could've briefly popped out of their sockets when he was blacked out, and he would've had no idea. "Oh... um... sorry, I don' know what happened there. I blacked out n' then..." he said quietly before stopping himself. Nick didn't know this girl, the details of the blackout weren't necessary for her to hear. He didn't want to traumatize her even more than he possibly already has.
Nick didn't realize at first when the girl approached him with her hand and only noticed when it made contact with his forehead. In most cases, he would've swatted it away, but he tensed up to its touch. There was just something about the contact that made Nick overcome with a sense of dread. "Do ye... um... have any idea how long I was... out for?" Nick asked, trying his best to come up with the right words. He could've blacked out for seconds or hours, he didn't know.

A Small Step Into The Future
It was not often that Aurelia came across such a phenomenon. Then again, she was a witch and sometimes things do happen that was out of the ordinary. His eyes had simple glossed over, but his face was full of dismay. Something happened within the few seconds, and Aurelia would try to find out what. The gryffindor was usually not one to pry but this incident certainly piqued her interest, even more so when he asked the duration of which he had been in that particular state.
"A minute or two." Aurelia answered with an odd tenderness that was carried with the words she spoke. She removed her hand from his forehead. He was not having a fever, his skin felt as warm as it should. There was a chance that he was dehydrated, Aurelia suspected which would lead her to offer, "Do you want something to drink? I can get some water from the cart." The cart mostly sold sweets, but she was sure they had water around. There were many things that Aurelia suspected could be the cause of his daze. A Small Step Into The Future
The girl's response to his question shocked Nick, a couple of minutes? It felt like an entirety stuck in that darkness, and he had only been in there that long? Then again, the past couple of minutes have felt like an eternity, from those aching headaches to the vision repeating itself inside his head. He wanted it to be over, but he didn't know how to get it out of his head.
Nick wondered whether he should get some water. His head did hurt, but that wasn't because of a headache, it was because of the confusion. "No it's fine, I don' feel woozy o' anythin'." Nick said quietly. He was lying partly, but he didn't like his own mother worrying about him, why would he want a perfect stranger to?
Nick looked at the girl in front of him for once, being intimidated to do so for some reason. Maybe it was because he didn't want to be thrown into the vision again, or maybe it was just something about the presence she radiated, probably a little bit of both. He wanted to at least give her a bit of respect with some eye contact. When he looked at her, though, he voluntarily went back to his vision. She was the one that he saw... the one who died.
Jolting back in his seat a bit, Nick's body involuntarily tried to get away from her, his fight and flight response kicking in. He stopped himself, though, she deserved to know... right? "I... ye.. uh..." Nick stuttered, trying to form his sentences. The girl needed to know, but how in the world could he tell her? He took a deep breath and threw his words out into the world, "Ye- I-I saw ye when I blacked out... ye were... dead." Nick didn't know how else to say it, but she had to know.

A Small Step Into The Future
The offer to grab a drink was turned down with the boy's sceptical claims of being 'fine'. Aurelia would refuse to believe that it was. For the past few moments, the boy's behaviour only told her otherwise. He was certainly not Aurelia. Yet, Aurelia would respect his decision and would not ask him more about it, merely responding with a polite nod of her head. However, his next actions took her aback as he almost jumped from his seat as if he had seen a ghost, his body shifted in the direction of the exit as if he was about to make a run for it. A run for what exactly?
Aurelia only watched at the peculiar scene playing in front of her. A suspicion raising that this was all a joke, a play to garner a reaction from her for a child's entertainment. It was not until the boy broke the silence with words that came more to a shock to her when she realised that it was likely not all a prank. She was dead. It was the sparkle of desperation in his eyes and in his words that lead her to believe that indeed this boy had seen a vision, much like the little slytherin girl who saw a glimpse of her in the crystal ball.
She would not have believed him if she had not heard of Tyranni's prophesy in her third year. For a few moments, Aurelia remained silent and unable to make up the words. When she did, all that came from her lips were hushed and barely over a moderate whisper, "Canine scratches and blood? Is that what you saw too?"

A Small Step Into The Future
What this girl must be feeling, Nick couldn't even begin to imagine. To be told this from a perfect stranger, that you are going to die would be terrifying. He wouldn't be surprised if the girl just up and left the compartment, especially since he was acting absolutely insane since he's entered the compartment.
Nick's head started spinning around more when the girl in front of him responded, guessing the exact right thing he saw. He didn't think that he had told her anything about the vision, other than her being dead, but these past minutes have been very hazy. "Y-ye, how did ye know?" Nick asked confused. He didn't want to seem dumb and start guessing how she did, especially since he couldn't even begin to think logically at the moment.
The girl in front of her intimidated Nick for some odd reason, possibly because of knowing that she was going to die, but he felt he should comfort her in some way. Finding out you were going to die horrifically is naturally traumatizing. He didn't quite know how to deal with these situations, his town wasn't exactly the emotional kind, but he should do... something.
Reaching over to her, the same way she had done to him, Nick awkwardly placed his hand on her shoulder as a sign of empathy. "'m sorry that ye had tae find out about... this... from me." Nick said, trying his best to comfort her. He didn't have very good emotional intelligence, so he had no idea if this was helping or just weirding her out even more.
