Crafting Clean Up
Shortly after the Crafting Activity
{ Detention Thread for @May Moonstar }
Hjørdis observed the makeshift crafting area now that all of the students had dispersed. It was left in quite a state. Supplies everywhere - papers spread across the grounds in random heaps, the odd paints left around, chairs out of place. The makeshift temporary boards that made up the floor were also covered in paint that had now dried. It would take a bit of scrubbing to get out.
The Head of House waited for May Moonstar to turn up before she explained the task, "All of the chairs need to go over there," She explained, waving her hand in the direction she meant, "You can leave the tables to Professor Vernatis," She continued, nodding to the Charms Professor, who would move those as they might be too heavy for the smaller student. "All of the supplies should be put away in those boxes, and then carried over there with the chairs. And using this bucket of water and cloth, scrub the other tables and floors clean. There should not be a single speck of paint left. No use of magic, of course. Since you're a big fan of using your hands to do things, I expect you'll enjoy this," Hjørdis explained, wasting no time in explaining the task.
With that, she hopped onto one of the clean tables, crossed her legs and sat there waiting for May to complete her task.

Crafting Clean Up
May took a deep trembling breath as she walked slowly towards the place where the crafting activity had been held and where her first detention was going to happen. She took a shaking breath as she recalled the events of the day- her having started the day, trembling top to bottom, since tomorrow was going to be her first second string seeker benched match and her wanting Hufflepuff to win fiercely, then, she was about to paint Ariana's face, and then- when she had slapped Ivy- the reason of her detention. She thought she deserved it fully. But it had also hurt May, since she hated to hurt her friend - or the friend she thought she had-.
She shook her head and decided to think of other more cheerful things (a difficult task, recalling all the events that had happen in only one day). The Quiddich match was very close. No, that made May's inside squirm with anticipation. She pursed her lips as Prof. Jensen told her about her detention. Well, I don't mind Muggle ways, May thought, slightly more cheerful, Iv'e been using my hands my whole life Miss.
Glad that the professor couldn't hear her thoughts, May shrugged and began her task. Since she was a small girl (she was barely 4'5) she fell a few times, but recovered quickly and without any damage, since she was a strong kid. The chairs were where they belonged in no time. Then, she got hold of the crafting supplies, and carried them to the chairs (a few paint stains got in her clothes, but she merely looked at them and decided she would remove them later). Then, scrubbing.
How she hated that word. It made her body go crazy and want to run away, at home, where she would be able to do her holiday homework safely. She sighted and began scrubbing, and less when it came to scrubbing floors. She took a deep breath and and began scrubbing the tables. As her father had always said, began from the top, finish at the bottom. She smiled as she recalled the simple words that made her slightly more cheerful when it came to completing the detention she had been given, and scrubbed harder on the dried stains. Then, at least half a hour later, she finished with the tables and began with the floor. She hated that part. Most of all because it was where all the bacterial liked to rest- in May's know-it-all mind- and where all the dirt and dung went. But she deserved it, so she did it cheerfully but not as cheerfully as the tables.
Stains of every color were everywhere- on the floor, of course. The floor was even more messy than the tables.
At least she didn't have to clean all the Quiddich Stadium. Or she would have preferred not attending the Quiddich match at all.wc/ 485

Crafting Clean Up
May glanced at the Slytherin Head of House, and felt a deep rush of embarrassment. She was very intimidating, and also very pretty. She was doing her job, after all. May thought that her mother would told her to do the same thing. She shook her head off these thoughts and began scrubbing again.
When she had thought she had finished, she sat up, and bit her lip. She hadn't finished completely. At least a dozen other stains were there, waiting to be cleaned. She gave a great sight, and finished her job.
These stains didn't come out early, after all. They were dried up stains that, when she scrubbed them hard, made her hands look like raisins. She scrunched her nose in disgust as she looked at her hands. Her hands felt more uncomfortable with the cloth in her hand.
Then, when she had finished, she stared a few seconds at the ground. She hadn't acted like a Hufflepuff today. What had her Head of House thought of her? She had slapped someone, and the person she had slapped [Ivy] probably didn't deserved it. A sudden feeling of hatred towards herself came, again and again.
Then, she looked at professor Jensen. "I finished." she said. "Its clean. I believe I can go now, if I'm now mistaken."
Not wasting more time there, she went back to her tent, where she now believed she beloned.

Crafting Clean Up
There were plenty of things that Hjørdis wanted to be doing right now. This was not one of them. Overseeing a detention was just time-consuming and tedious. She could clean up the entire area much faster, much more efficiently than anyone else. At least, she was confident enough to believe that. But unfortunately, she had to attempt to discipline students who broke the rules. In all honesty, Hjørdis did not care too much about some rules - as long as they were safe. Hitting someone for absolutely no reason - or at least, not a reason that could be shared and justified - was, unfortunately, not something she could excuse.
She did have to wonder though. She was curious what Miss Moonstar's view was but since the Hufflepuff chose not to share it, Hjørdis could only accept the information given. She sat on the table silently watching the small girl carry out the task, without complaint. At least, there was no verbal complaint or signs of disobedience. It was clear from her body language that she was not a big fan of everything happening but... it had to be done, sadly.
Hjørdis sighed as the Hufflepuff came up to her, claiming to be finished. May did not look remorseful or happy, in any shape or form. But the task was done and there was no reason for Hjørdis to keep her around any longer. She sighed and nodded, "Very well, you can go." She agreed, watching the girl quickly exit once given permission.
Her silvery gaze followed her for a moment before glancing over to her fellow head of house with a slightly exasperated look. This was certainly not how she had hoped to spend the evening, it had taken far longer than she would have liked. Nonetheless, she stayed seated on the table and allowed the fellow professors to finish off the task - of moving the tables and everything else - back into the storage tents. Cleaning the paint and organising materials together? She could do. Lifting the boxes, tables and chairs? That was not something she wanted to do in this heat. She'd leave that to people with the strong arms. Mostly so she could smirk at them and watch it happen. Though, of course, they could use magic at the very least. But she just preferred if they didn't. Mostly because it was far more amusing to watch.
