The summer had finally ended, and even though that meant leaving her family once more, Lucille couldn't help but be very excited about her second trip to Diagon Alley. This time, her uncle James would be the chaperone to her second year trip, and being a Gryffindor himself the man never ceased to amaze Luci with all his secret adventures of the wizarding world. Before walking into the ice cream parlor, something interesting cought the eagle's eye. A shop she slightly remembered from her first day in Diagon Alley, the Magical Menagerie it was called. In the little windows Luci could see animals of all shapes, sizes, and colors. She looked back at her uncle with the best puppy eyes she could, and even after a bit of hesitation he looked at her with a knowing smile."Just don't get a toad! Your mama would kill me!"He added, giving her a small handful of coins from his pockets before Lucille ran off into the shop shouting, "Thanks Tio!!" at him just as she entered.

On her way into the quaint little shop, Lucille turned her head to a few of the pink floofs put aside, seemingly squeaking maniacally. "Ah," said an elder woman."I see you're interested in our pygmy puffs!" She said with a smile. Lucille looked back at the woman with suprise, not expecting her happy peice of insight. According to her small pin the woman was 'Anita Witticker'. Focusing back to Mrs. Witticker, Lucille spoke back,"Oh! Uhm..yeah. How much are they?" Luci asked the woman, hopeful that they couldn't be that pricey. "Well, the lil' pink ones are twenty galleons." She answered, her smile unwavering. At that moment Lucille choked on air. "Twenty? R-really?" The woman gave a small laugh, then looked back Lucille to guide her away from the pricey floofs. "How many galleons do you have here honey?" The eagle self-consciously looked back into her palm where the shiny galleons resided. Quickly counting the coins, she looked back to Mrs. Witticker. "F-fourteen galleons miss.." She replied back. "I believe we have a few pets under the budget, perhaps a toad?" The woman asked Lucille kindly. The girl made a small gulp when she mentioned toads. "Erm, what other pets are there?"Luci asked with a nervous smile back to the kind woman.

"Ah yes, those little amphibians aren't for everyone..An owl? Maybe a rat?" Lucille knew the woman'd intentions were pure, but still, nothing called to her. As she was prepared to simply walk out of the shop, a tall elder man with his own pin reading 'Ernest Witticker'. "You know darling, maybe this young lady
could use something a bit more..playful."The tall man said as the two elders shared a dreamy glance at each other. "Oh my! I think I may know the perfect thing!" Mrs Witticker added excitedly, as the three walked a bit more back into the shop, Lucille could see the cutest little brown kitten, seemingly taking a nap on the highest kitty platform thing. "How much is she?"Lucille asked the couple airily. Mr. Witticker gave a hearty laugh, and Lucille looked back at him worried. "He's quite the adventurer when he wants to be." Lucille was intrigued to this seemingly relaxed chonker, and even though she couldn't help but blush like a tomato, the eagle looked back at the couple excited as she put out her palm full of coins. "I-I think he's the one." She said quite confidently to the two. Both the Wittickers smiled as they began to speak of details, all Lucille knew however when she left, was that a knew friend could accompany her to Hogwarts this year. So really how could her second year go wrong?
