Jessica enters the magnificent shop, many pets greeting her eyes. Which one would she choose? "Mother, may I have a cat?" she asked, a pleading look in her eye. "Of course! But you must promise to take care of it! Do you promise?" Her mother asked. "I promise!" Jessica replied. "Very well, go and see what you like!" Jessica stumbled off into the depths of the shop. Before she moved to London, their family owned a gray tabby tom named 'Joey.' Too bad he passed away. Jessica walked up to the counter. She squinted at the employee's nametag. 'Ernest Witticker." Hm. Interesting! "Hello, sir! Do you know where I can find cats? Specifically gray tabbys?" Ernest turned around and smiled. "So ye want a gray tabby? No problem! Go down the aisle down there, where it says 'cats'. Ye should find gray Mackerel tabbys down there!" He replied. "Thank you sir!" Jessica said, excited to check out the cats. "No problem! Call me if ye need me!" Ernest said. Jessica entered the cat section, amazed by all the beautiful fur colors and loud meows. So many cats! Brown tabbys, Siamese cats, Bengals, Silver Siberians, you name it! A sign that read "Gray Mackerels" caught her eye. "There they are!" She thought, strolling over. She inspected every row. They were all so pretty! How was she ever going to choose? Finally, she reached the back row. In the last cage, lay a small silver she-cat, with swirling black stripes along her body, and beautiful amber eyes. Her tail flicked back and forth. The cat meowed at her. Jessica laughed. "You really like me, don't you?" The silver she cat flicked her tail once more and meowed. "You sure look like the moon! I'll call you Luminex!" Luminex meowed, getting to her feet. She moved swiftly and silently, beckoning for Jessica to pet her. Jessica reached in and stroked the soft fur. "Wait here, Luminex, I'll go get mum." Jessica raced down the aisles, past the counter, and "landed" in front of her mother. Panting, she said, "Mother! I found the perfect cat! Come, quick!" Without saying anymore, she raced back down the aisles. Holly(her mother) laughed and followed. Jessica lead her mother down the aisles, and introduced her to Luminex. "Can I please adopt her, please?" Jessica asked. Holly inspected Luminex for a moment, then said," She does look like she'll be good! We can adopt her!" Jessica jumped with joy. Together, they hauled the crate down to the counter. "So I see ye found your pet!" Ernest smiled, looking down at Jessica. "We're hoping to buy her!" Holly said. "No problem! That'll be 10 galleons!" Holly handed over the money, and they both waved good-bye. "Hope ya'll have a nice day!" Ernest said, smiling once more.
