Akari hesitated in front of the wall at the platform, she looked over at her father for reassurance. Her older brother was already long gone and had rushed into the train in the speed of light. Her palms were clammy and it was almost like she was forgetting to breathe. She was a little nervous about leaving her home and meeting knew people, and worried about what it is going to be at hogwarts, she’d been waiting patiently for this moment for her whole life. “What if it’s not like imagined?” She thought to herself.
Her father put his hand on her shoulders and smiled down at her then said,
“I know it’s scary, but I promise you’ll be fine”
She nodded and bit down on her lip then trembled slightly before pushing her cart and running through the wall with her eyes scrunched shut. Once she was on the other side she stared at the big black locomotive. She couldn’t believe after so long of just watching her brother board she would finally get her turn.
She turned to her parents and hugged them tightly and said her goodbyes then lugged her trunk onto the train. Eventually her brother came and helped her tuck it away in an empty compartment then left to go talk to his friends.
She sighed to herself then sat down by the window and looked out at all the rest of the scurrying children on the platform.
She wondered if she would make friends on this trip or just have to read a book to pass the time....

Ashwaria entered the station and her jaw dropped, it felt magical. Ashwaria muttered under her breath "Woah now this is so cool" the wonders in her new life had just begun. She never knew she was magical until a few weeks before. The scarlet train and smoke coming out of its chimney. Students entering the train it was too overwhelming for her. Her mum and dad stood beside her and started to approach the platform. "Oh I am going to miss you soo much, I can't believe this you're going to be away from me, " Ashwaria's mum said while hugging her."Good bye sweetheart and don't forget to owl us almost everyday Daddy is gonna miss you" said her dad while hugging her and Ashwaria replied "I love you so much and I am going to miss you a lot" suddenly train's whistle blew and she said "Bye" her parents waved back and her mum did a flying kiss. She suddenly started to run to the door of the train when she bumped into a girl. Ashwaria exclaimed "Sorry I was in such a hurry" "My name is Ashwaria Nair, first year, Muggleborn and "? Ashwaria extended her hand for a handshake with a wide and warm grin

Having been distracted by all the students and family members running around, it felt like out of absolutely no where something bumped into her. Her eyes widened in surprise as she nearly fell backwards from the impact of the bump but instinctively reached her arm out for something to grab onto and luckily, she quickly regained her balance but had a slight frown on her face and looked over to see a girl standing there.

"Sorry I was in such a hurry" "My name is Ashwaria Nair, first year, Muggleborn and ?"
The girl who bumped into her exclaimed right away with a big friendly grin and extended a hand forward to her.
Akari stared at her hand for a moment still in a little bit of shock from the whole encounter, before taking it in her delicate one and shaking it. The girl said she was a first year as well meaning that they will be peers and probably will be placed in some of the same classes during this coming year. A muggle born? Akari didn't envy them since it must be so much harder for them because not only are they leaving their family and friends, but they are also going into and have to adjust to a completely new type of world, one with magic.

"it's alright" She replied as the frown on her face dissipated and slowly turned into a small smile "Nice to meet you Ashwaria, My name is Akari, Akari Kato"
