Pre-Hogwarts History: Katherine Delila Song was born on October 27th, 2008 in Machynlleth, Wales to Lucy and Charles Song, pure blooded wizards. She has one older brother by the name of Maxwell, but everyone calls him Max. Max is 20 years old, and graduated Hogwarts as a Slytherin. Most of the family is made up of Ravenclaws and Slytherins, with the exception of Katherine's father, who was sorted into Gryffindor. Kat's father often had to go away to travel, and she didn't really see her brother often since he went off to Hogwarts when she was 2, and was always busy during the summer vacations doing homework or going out with friends. However, he let her help him with potions. While he was never able to brew potions till he came of age, the two of them would always get one of their parents to do all magical portions of the brewing process.
Kat was officially homeschooled by her mother at the age of five, and she enjoyed learning about everything. The first time she was shown to be magical was also when she was five, when Kat was able to rearrange the letters on a page in a book. When Kat was six, she and her brother went sledding during Christmas vacation with some of her brother's friends. While sledding, Katherine was hit by a stray jinx(although no one knew who cast the spell, some suspect one of Max's friends) and had to go to St. Mungos. Her parents, scared by the slight catastrophe, began to be extremely protective of Katherine. Since then, no other magical accidents have occured. When Kat got her acceptance letter into Hogwarts, the family went straight to Diagon Alley.
Personality: Katherine was always a slightly anti-social person, as she would usually rather be reading or daydreaming about what kinds of wonderful potions they might brew in Potions class. Due to this instinct as a loner, she's not afraid to speak her mind about things, even to total strangers.
Appearance:Kat is a small kid for her age, at 4'4". She enjoys keeping her brown hair short, and often wears colored contacts to cover up what she calls her "boring" brown eyes.
