Can you apply for abilities for your Illvermorny/Durmstrang NPC?

If so, how does that work?

Short answer: At this time, no. This is opened at specific times and you can only apply during those times.

Long answer:

Abilities + Stats can be applied for within the respective School NPC thread whilst it is opened. To do this, you need an approved iNPC first.

At the moment, both iNPC applications and their abilities are all closed. There will be an announcement when these reopen.

However, for your information. This is the information that we gave to people regarding their ability and stat applications.

In general, the iNPC will have the same number of ability slots as you. They cannot have something that your main character cannot get. I.E. If you need to be "third year" for an ability and your main character is second then they cannot get it, even if they are "third year".

Pulling from previous information:

Remember, your student would be your peer in terms of age and statistical promise. So while they might be a fourth year while you are a third year, that does not mean that you get another year worth of abilities.

Abilities still have the same prerequisites. Your NPC is not eligible for a 5th year ability because they are 'older'. You also need to apply for them and meet the word count requirements.
