An Early Morning Meeting PV

2ND OF SEPTEMBER 2020
Elodie's first day as a Second Year at Hogwarts had now come to an end. In her dorm, snuggled beneath her blankets, Elodie watched her battered alarm clock switch from 11:59 to 00:00. It had not been a bad day, but it had not been a good one either. Returning to Hogwarts, Elodie had discovered a harsh truth: she had no close friends. She had friends, to be sure. Students who she could talk to, who she could play games with, who would smile at her as they passed one another in the corridors. But no close friends, friends who she could admit her darkest fear, or her biggest secret. And it was lonely, standing by oneself, with a hundred things to say, but no one to tell them to.

And so, with that troubling thought stuck in her mind, Elodie slipped out of bed, donning her slippers and dressing down, and crept out of her dormitory, amid soft snores and murmured sleep-talk. She had walked slowly down the dark Hogwarts halls, pondering over the day's events, making sure to step gently and carefully. At one point, she had headed up a narrow staircase, and found herself on the second floor. It was completely silent there, lit only by blazing torches hanging on the wall. Elodie felt more alone than ever, with no one but the metal, ever-silent statues of armour around her, who watched her eerily with unseen eyes.

Henry laid in his bed after finishing his first day of his second year at Hogwarts which hasn't been too bad but it wasn't the greatest either, that day may have started off good but it only worked against him as he went through his classes where he found out that second year Slytherin's mostly had classes with hufflepuff and occasionally ravenclaw. While he has friends in both who he could partner up with and chat with a bit, he didn't have any close friends in any of them who could understand his awkwardness and nerves. As he laid listening to the sound of light snoring, everyone must have already gone to bed, Henry came to a unsettling truth while he had friends he only had two close friends who he could trust. One was Cricket, his best and childhood friend who was a second year also but she was a gryffindor and while Henry never been biased against houses, the school was biased against him. Since second year gryffindor's and slytherin's had complete opposite schedules making it impossible to see her let know talk with her and the second was Charles a fellow second year slytherin who he felt like he was seeing way to much,
but when Charles occasionally was busy and couldn't
talk to him Henry found he was still alone and he hoped that he would have found his place in Hogwarts, so much for not being a outsider anymore.

As Henry thought he decided to slip from his bed and change from his pj's to his jeans and long sleeve grey shirt along with his greenish jacket. As he hid his wand in a pocket on the inside of his jacket he treaded carefully as he stepped out of the Merlin dormitory and through the silent and a creepy common room, as Henry stared out their windows into the mysterious and enchanting black lake he thought he saw a ripple come across the water, probably just the giant squid, Henry headed out from his common room and slowly made his way to the second floor corridor as he scan the area around him as to be sure he wasn't be followed or about to be spotted by a professor or prefect.

As Henry stepped into the second floor corridor he walked through it a but slower as the torches along the wall lit his way and the only other thing there was, was the lifeless and unmoving suits of armor. As Henry continued to walk through the corridor he wasn't suspecting to come across anyone else or cause any type mischief, well at least not that night. As he continued he stopped in the middle as he came across three other students who were wandering around the castle like him at night, a bit startled he just stood there watching.

Elodie turned a corner, and nearly jumped out of her skin in sheer fright. There, in the corridor, standing as still as the statues of armour that stood behind him, was a student. She stepped backwards quickly, fervently hoping the boy had not seen her. She waited a second or two, to allow the rapid beating of her heart to calm down. Then, carefully, and as quietly as she could, Elodie peeked around the corner.

He was quite a tall boy, tall but not muscular. Rather lean, which gave him an angular appearance. The dull torch flames shone light upon his face, and Elodie noted that, despite his noticeable height, he was quite young; she guessed a Second Year, as she herself was, or thereabouts. He was attractive too, with his blue eyes and ever-so-lightly tanned skin. His hair, brown-coloured, was thick and curly, and ran down to his ears in loose rings. Unlike Elodie, who remained dressed in her pyjamas, the boy had changed into a grey top, jeans, and a military-green-coloured jacket. Quite cold in the night air, Elodie regretted not doing as the boy had done, and wished she had at least grabbed a jacket before she left.

Elodie bit her lip as she thought, wondering was course of action to take. There was two in her mind. She could either leave, and find another corridor to wander in, or she could approach the boy. She thought and thought for at least a minute or more, but could not seem to make up her mind. Finally, Elodie decided to do neither, and wait behind the corner for a bit longer, and watch the scene unfold.
