She has reddish-brown hair and brown eyes, though sometimes her eyes will change to a darker or lighter brown color. She has a scar on her hand from a potion accident, though it is not very visible. She is slightly taller than average but is very coordinated and accurate with her wand. She is not physically strong, but her power with spells makes up for that.

Personality

She is very intelligent, kind, and hard-working. Being intelligent and hard-working adds to the fact that she is really good at magic, and so does her eagerness to learn. She loves reading, writing, and flying on her broomstick (she hopes that someday she will be on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team). She is not very good with people, but she tries not to let her awkwardness show. She is particularly good with animals, and can't wait to figure out what her patronus is.

Wand

The wood of her wand is dogwood, and the core is dragon heartsting. It is mainly black with a dark brown handle, which takes up about a 1/3 or so of the wand. It is 25.3 cm long, very straight, and very flexible. It is attracted to energetic wizards/witches, but it can easily be wooed if it's owner becomes lazy.

History/Background Story

Mezryn was born in Tramore, Ireland where she lives with her mother, father, and younger brother. Her father worked at the ministry long before she was born and continued working there after she was born. This resulted in Mezryn having a poor relationship with her father, for he was always extremely busy and never had time to hang out with his family. Her mother made and sold potions, which Mezryn took an interest in when she was younger. Her mother originally didn't want her to help, but Mezryn was rather persistent she finally agreed to let her daughter help. For a year she liked handing her mother ingredients and even began making her own. However, on her 4th birthday, she lost the interest in potion making when one of them went wrong. Her mother had left the room for a moment, but she let Mezryn continue making the potion. Mezryn, still rather young, had accidentally added to much of an ingredient. The potion then began grow extremely hot and boil over the sides, burning her hand and leaving a scar. It was that day that her mother stopped letting her help with potions. After that day Mezryn grew apart from her mother, though she grew much closer to her brother, Parker. They were rarely apart and even when they were apart it wasn't for long.

As Mezryn grew up, she began wondering whether she was a witch like her mother. It was a while until she scraped up the courage to ask her mother about knowing whether she was a witch or not and how she could tell. It was then that she was told about a school called Hogwarts where young witches and wizards went to learn about magic. She couldn't believe all the amazing things people learned there, and from that moment on she learned all she wanted to learn all she could about magic. Her mother, however, didn't want her daughter learning about magic. This annoyed Mezryn greatly, but she didn't argue. Instead, she read every non-magical book she could get her hands on and even discovered her love for writing.

On the her 10th birthday, her worries began to grow. She hadn't had a magical experience yet and now it was almost to late. However, it was not to late. It was late afternoon, and Mezryn had just walked outside to go hang out with Parker when something caught her eye. A broomstick was resting against the wall next to the door, and she quickly recognized it as her mother's. Grabbing hold of it, Mezryn moved towards the door but felt a strange sensation. After looking down, she realized that she had accidentally flown on her mothers broom. Although she didn't know entirely what she was doing, she felt great joy in feeling the wind around her and being up in the air. When she turned 11, an owl arrived at her house with a letter telling her she had been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
