Frayed Nerves
Even thought the full moon had been days ago, Miranda still felt on edge. It usually took her a week or so to calm down, but here she found that most people tended to notice if she jumped at every sound and kept on checking her hands to make sure they weren't furry. At least she could escape up a tree or into her tent if she needed to, although she rarely did because there was so much going on, and she didn't want to miss anything.Looking for 1-3 people to join, but please no more than that. If you'd like to RP with my character anyway, and there isn't enough room to join, feel free to owl me.
The two conflicting desires - to hide away and to explore everything - pulled at Miranda endlessly. She would plan to spend her day reading some new books, then have a completely new idea and abandon them in favor of checking out an event. It was very frustrating.
So far, she hadn't yet seen any of her friends at the camp, even though she knew they had to be around somewhere. There was just so many people around, making an insane amount of noise. It almost made her wish she were back in the stone halls of Hogwarts. But not quite.
While Miranda loved the school, she detested the way they spent most of their time indoors. If the camp hadn't been so noisy, she would've been extastic. Sadly, it was not to be.
At that moment, Miranda was studying a poster with a detailed painting of a Chinese fireball dragon on it that her parents had sent her in their last owl. She was sitting on the very edge of the camp site, underneath the branches of a large birch tree. Normally she would have found a perch in the canopy, but she simply didn't feel up for the climb today.
