A Soft Squishy Pretzel
Permission given by @Zykeal Lane to godmode him sleeping on the couch
Ileen was digging around in her suitcase. She wanted to use the quiet minute and the nice weather that morning to read a little bit outside. She had packed one of her favorite books, but the last few days had been so turbulent and eventful that she hadn't got around to it.
Her long brown hair fell forward over her shoulders and blocked her view of the chaos in her suitcase. With a sigh she wiped it aside and carelessly put some other books on the floor. Ah, there it was! ‘Dragon rider’ – a good story for some time alone.
For a moment she remained sitting on the floor and enjoyed the silence. Especially here in this tent this did not happen very often. But at the moment everyone was outside doing stuff, except for Zykeal who was still sleeping on his sofa - curled up like a soft squishy pretzel.
Ileen couldn’t help but smile. She had been extra quiet so as not to wake him up. Not because she was so kind to him - to be honest, she couldn't understand how one could still sleep at this time of the day - no. She hadn't wanted to wake him up to avoid having to deal with someone. She wanted to be alone. She wanted quiet. She wanted peace. For once. With no loud, rude, violent, or stupid people around. And without any kind of drama.
With another sigh she stood up. She would now find herself a sunny spot outside and hide there to read. Maybe afterwards she would search for Dee. But for now, that was perfect.
Motivated by her plan, she turned around energetically and marched to the tent entrance. Her eyes were still fixed on the book with the nice silver dragon on the cover. It had been a long time since she last read it, and she was looking forward to it.
This was such a good –
Her thoughts stumbled along with her feet. Someone had once again left some things lying around on the floor and used them to build a fatal tripping hazard for Ileen, who had been fascinated by her book. With a soft squeak she lunged to catch herself. The book slipped out of her hands. As if in slow motion she saw it sailing through the room, before it hit Zykeal right in the temple. Ileen froze in her strange pose, grimacing in sympathy. That looked very painful. “I’m sorry!”
Her heart had leapt in shock. Now I'm already causing drama myself, she thought resignedly and hoped fervently that she hadn't knocked him unconscious. If she had aimed, she never would have managed to hit him like that.

A Soft Squishy Pretzel

Arms? Twisted. Legs? Tangled. Position? Comfortable. Asleep? Not for long.
This was how Zykeal had decided to spend the rest of the morning, face-first into a pillow, and his limbs in what some would consider pretzel formation. As always though, he slept with that ivory-colored wand within his hand, and occasionally, it would pass from in between one finger and to the next. Apparently, even in his dreams, he twirled his aspen wood wand around like a drumstick, a habit that he couldn't just stop doing in real life. Of course, the resting place of his desire was still the couch, as the demon-kitty that lay under his bed still haunted his drams at time. It was that exact thing that then popped up into his dream, the vicious beast of a cat, 'Oh no', his dream self thought.
Within Zykeals' dream, the cat would stretch out its elongated paw and swipe once more towards the side of his face. It was then he woke up, something had just hit the side of his head, hard. It was as if the dream and real-life seemed to mesh perfectly and Zykeal cried out, suddenly awake, "THE BEAST!" he announced, springing up and instantly shifting his wand over towards where he thought the attacker was coming from, "Immobulus!" he said as his wand hand shifted across the open air, painting a landscape of a mountain that overlooked an ocean bay. After all, the charms prodigy was precise with his spellwork. The charm would have cast if he knew wandless magic, wandless magic? Wait a moment, apparently, his wand had fallen out of his hand when he had sprung up and it was laying across the front of his lap. Instead, he was just pointing a closed fist towards the girl across the room who was still in a comedic position.
Zykeal swayed as he stood, still trying to register what exactly had just happened to cause this situation to unfold. Something was wrong with the side of his head, he felt it in an odd manner, a ringing of his ear and a dull sensation against his temple. The freehand that was not holding his wand reached up and he felt the side of his head where a huge welt was forming at the time, it was clear the edge of the book made contact with Zyk. Once more, he swayed as he felt a little dizzy, "Whoaaa," he mumbled, looking back over towards Ileen and then down to the book. Back to Ileen he looked, then again, once more to the book before settling his gaze comically back to Ileen, "Why is it," he started, but then swayed backward and the momentum of his body caused him to fall backward, landing in a seated position upon the couch as he stared over towards the Slytherin girl, "that you guys like to wake me up in such hostile ways," he concluded.
A hand moved up to gently maneuver around where there was forming the largest welt he'd ever received, "You know, Ileen," he started, his eyes shifting back over towards her once more, "I didn't expect you to be as bad as that cat," he said, a little smirk playing across his features as he looked at the girl. The other hand would shift down to where his wand was laying within his lap and he'd let his fingers dance along the length of it before picking it up gracefully and starting his typical twirling motions between his digits. Still feeling along the side of his head, the dizziness continued and he swayed from side to side as he sat there on the couch for the time being. A few quiet words were spoken to Ileen, "Is there any ice.. or something?" he mentioned, "I think, I don't feel so great..." he got out before his head fell back against the couch and he was looking up towards the top canvas of the tent.
