Ha? What did you say?
Lindsey was especially happy when having potions class. She like them, it feels good when brewing all the ingredients together.Backdated to April 3rd, 2020
Today they’d be brewing Bruise Removal Paste. A rather nice potion.
Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs were having class together.
Great. Lindsey thought. Her best friend Lizzie’s a young lion, and Lindsey really expected to brew potions with her.
“Lizzie!” she waved to her friend when it’s time for finding a partner.
Sadly, Lizzie was caught by one of her housemates.
Lindsey said nothing. She’s not a girl that was sensitive and loved to show her feelings. Maybe they could do it next time?
She’s quite expected to have a Hufflepuff for partner then. Alina and Alexa were definitely the best, and May could do too.
They seemed all have a partner.
Oh dear. Lindsey said to herself.
She was arranged with a girl from Gryffindor at last.
Lindsey examiner this girl carefully, Dirty blonde hair and ocean blue eyes.
Those eyes were not as beautiful as the Springhall’s clear blue eyes. Thought Lindsey. This girl really should meet Edmund.
“Your name?” Lindsey asked haughtily.
She’s usually kind on usual days, but today’s definitely not a usual day——at least she’s not in good mood.
Then, Lindsey folded her arms, and waited for the girl’s reply.

Ha? What did you say?
Cricket had always enjoyed Potions class, it let her mind relax as she's brewing a magnificent trial. Today, the Gryffindors and the Hufflepufs would be having class together as they would brew Bruise Removal Paste. Cricket was working on becoming more social, but the truth is, she doesn't know any Hufflepuffs which puts her in a tough spot for the day's lesson since they had to have partners.
As soon as the professor released the students, the young Gryffindor went on a hunt for a partner. She was going to ask her friend, Eyre, which she met on the Hogwarts Express but was already teamed up with a Hufflepuff. Cricket searched around the room for a partner but everyone seemed to be taken. At last, she went up to the professor and said, "Excuse me, sir. I can't seem to find a partner. Do you know if there is anyone available for me to work with?" "Miss Mercury, what a surprise! Hmm...let me see. You can work with a Hufflepuff, Miss Springhall. She doesn't seem to have a partner either," said the professor as he pointed Cricket to the girl's direction.
Cricket made her way over to the badger and examined her appearance. She had long, wavy, slightly brown hair with chocolate brown eyes. She was slim and a bit pale, but not as pale as Cricket. "Your name?" Asked the girl with her arms folded. Cricket raised an eyebrow, then stuck out her hand.
"Mercury, Cricket Mercury. And you are?"

Ha? What did you say?
“Mercury, Cricket Mercury. And you are?” the girl said.
Lindsey frowned when hearing this name. Mercury, a star right? And Cricket, a sport right? True · interesting name.
“Springhall.” Lindsey tried to mimic Cricket’s format. “Lindsey Springhall.”
Lindsey tried to hold the girl’s hand as proper as possible. She felt that Cricket was not that nice. Not as nice as the other Gryffindors, at least.
She started to brew the potion. Or prepare it, you should say.
Anyway, Lindsey was still in bad mood. She really didn’t want to brew the potion with Mercury together.
“I brew mine,” She said. “While you do your own, Mercury.”
Lindsey had already came up with Mercury’s new name——Miss Sport Star. Cricket for sport, and Mercury for star. It would be very sarcastic if Mercury’s not good at sports, right?
Lindsey thought meanly. It’s almost the first time for her to be mean. And first time for her to call someone by their family names.
A huge innovation, dah? She said to herself. It would be fantastic if Mercury’s not good at her grades——Lindsey really wanted to show off a bit.
She prepared quickly, while keeping an eye on Miss Sport Star. Lindsey hoped Mercury didn’t do her work very well.
She had plenty of confidence, because no one had beaten her on academic so far——no one.

Ha? What did you say?
Cricket could feel that her and this other girl weren't going to get along. "Springhall. Lindsey Springhall," she claimed as she strangely picked up Cricket's hand. The Gryffindor scoffed. The name 'Lindsey' is originated from Scotland, also where Cricket is from, and it means 'lake.' If she would ever visit Scotland, I bet she might get made fun of. Cricket hoped that the girl hadn't heard her scoff, but it seemed like she had when she said, "I brew mine, while you do your own, Mercury." This girl is hilarious, but not in a good way, the lion thought. "So I see we're on a last name basis now. I can work with that."
A Hufflepuff with an attitude, there's something you won't see very often. Cricket decided to ignore the girl and complete the potion by herself. Something about Springhall made Cricket assume that she was bossy and always expected to be top of the class. The youngest Mercury of the family made a pact with herself, she needed to work harder and come out with a better result than Springhall. She didn't mind if she wasn't the best in class, she wanted to beat 'The Lake,' that was all. Hmm...'The Lake,' I like the nickname for her.
Cricket's next step was to add Abraxan Hair to her potion, though she couldn't find any near her. 'The Lake' kept eyeing her, and she wondered if the badger had taken it. The potion couldn't work without the Hair, so Cricket got the courage to ask her competition.
"Excuse me, Li- er- Springhall. Do you possibly have an Abraxan Hair left over? And would you mind if I used some? My stack has seemed to disappeared..."

Lindsey frowned. She’s not glad at all. Why would Miss Sport Star trying to let her aid her? And what’s the point for her to help?
However, Lindsey was still a Hufflepuff from the depth of her soul. So, she’d got to help——but not like how she helped others before.
“Take it.” She threw some hair over, but without even taking a look at it.
Lindsey really didn’t know if the hair successfully landed on Mercury’s desk. But who cares?
She took a glance. Ha. The hair seemed all flew away.
Miss Sport Star deserved it. Lindsey thought evilly.
Lindsey focused on her own potions. It’s pretty well so far, and seemed that she would succeed again. Her Potions class was always as good as usual.
She took another glance on that lion. Lindsey had to admit that somehow Mercury was pretty.
Hmm, Mercury somehow resembled AnnieJade…she thought, while thinking her nice acquaintance in the Owlery in October. But never as friendly as AJ. That’s definitely right.
She hoped that Mercury was not good at Potions. Lindsey hates the wiseacres, and Mercury would be very unlucky if she eventually showed this side of her to Lindsey.
