Through the corridors of Flourish and Blotts, flanked by tall and mighty stacks of books on each side, organized and placed into shelves upon shelves of dark wood, a very recently discovered wizard by the name of Logan Blackwood carried a book, it was leather-bound and was as big as a paving stone, and seemingly weighed as much as one too.

The boy sang a little random tune to entertain himself while he walked towards a table to read a little, “Got this book, got this book, got this really heavy book…”, it was so big that he had to carry it with both hands and he seriously considered how he would take it home without it being an annoyance all the way.

Those didn’t remain as his main thoughts however, as the boy tripped, but how? He made sure to watch his footing; this situation almost seemed ideal for tripping so he figured he should expect it and prepare for it, last he wanted was to be a show-up in this wizard world he had recently entered. What Logan didn’t know however, was that magic books came in all sizes, shapes and even effects, effects such as invisibility for example. A lonesome “Invisible Book of Invisibility” was irresponsibly left on the floor of the library, perhaps thrown innocently by a passerby or even devilishly so someone would trip, regardless, the latter's intentions became reality when the boy's foot came in contact with the invisible object.

Some quick “Wow, wow…!” were heard followed by a loud crash; the book fell first, Logan’s face second. This would’ve been a mildly annoying thing to remember with a healthy dose of shame if it wasn’t for the fact that Logan’s shoulder hit the bookcase beside him, and coupled with the weight of the book, it made instabilities that lead to books falling; many books.

Some of these hit Logan, producing “Ouch” and “Ow” for each; some may’ve even hit people close to where Logan fell! But worst of all, one of the books, one covered with a single leather strip with a strapped metal bit designed to hold the book closed, fell metal-bit first into the floor from a decently high position, breaking the thing keeping it closed. The boy lifted his red-filled face from the book, seeing the mess around him, but his eyes were specially caught by the vibrating book, which freed itself from the loose leather strip.

It wiggled a little, Logan didn’t know what to do, and became even more surprised when the book titled “Flying Theory” sprouted a pair of wings from its cover, wings that began flapping and, in turn, lifting the object from the floor.

Looks like this wasn’t going to be a regular, fun book shopping day...
