Tea with Sea Animals
Damion was once again in the courtyard with a tea bag making challenge. What would Dyllie think of him? Damion thought. He was not sure what Dylan would say about him but he didn't much care. This was something Damion liked doing. Something that made him think of home more and not miss being away from Wales. A part of him wanted to get himself so busy that he didn't have time to miss home but it seemed that wasn't possible. Oh well. Damion thought as he looked at the materials in front of him. Opening his notebook where he had the process written in it and like the other recipes he had followed he wanted to make the tea bags to perfection. He had practiced for them earlier and had not succeeded in making them as wonderful as he had wanted but he was still going to try to get it right this time. He and Dyllie would be doing it and laughing at each other at how silly they looked doing something so idiotic and yet it was fun! Damion liked spending time doing silly fun things with his best bud. he thought it was the best way to spending time.
Sighing Damion took out the coffee filter and put it in front of him. He had a pair of scissors, needle and thread and a pencil and some tea leaves in front of him now that he had taken them out of his bag. He smiled as he started tracing the animals that he was going to cut and sew. He first traced an octopus- since he thought it was one of the hardest things to trace and make. Breathing softly, Damion kept tracing the octopus' tentacles. Damion wanted it to be right and equal lengths. He was trying his best not to mess it up! He didn't want to tear it up. Earlier he and Dylan had torn up one of the Octopus' tentacles earlier. he didn't want to be doing the same thing again. He knew he had to be very very careful and take extra care to not tear any part of the Octopus. he wanted to make it seem perfect. He had made them earlier but it had taken him a while to get them right. He started cutting the coffee filter into the shape and tore it by mistake. Shoot he will have start all over again. Damion took another paper out and started doing it even more carefully now.
Sighing as he completed the octopus he looked at it. he was happy with it and wanted his best bud to see it. He had never been prouder of anything as much as he was proud of this Octopus that he had cut out. Taking very special care of the creature that he had cut from the coffee filter he carefully sewed it gently. Like he was handing some soft- porcelain doll. He didn't want it to fall and shatter. He was already messed it up once and was now trying to be very very careful about it. He filled the tea before he started sewing the Octopus. Tea looked very pretty inside it. He knew once it would hit the water the octopus might glow. he was happy that he had managed to make an octopus without messing it up badly. He was trying to carefully collect the sea animals he was making. he wanted to be able to have a few of them for him and his friends. He wanted to be able to have a collection of sea creatures for tea. He was planning on making a series of fish and an otter.
Taking a deep breath, Damion got back to working on his other sea creatures. he wanted to have a couple of them ready so that he would have something than have nothing at all. he was wanting to make his friend proud of him. He was trying to follow the instructions in the notebook he had. He wanted to do it correctly. There was only one way of doing it. It was correctly. He thought. He was a little lost in his own mind as his hands cut the shapes of fish that he wanted. he was so ready to make these look just as he had thought of them to look. he wished Dylan was here to guide him. thought they were practically the same age- with a slight difference of two years. He still shared a stronger connection with Dylan and hoped that that connection would never break. He wanted to stay friends forever with Dylan. He was too young to think of anything more than friends for now. He wanted nothing more than friendship and true friendship from Dylan. The thought of Dylan never left his mind.
Filling tea in the fish tea bags Damion put it aside to with his octopus. He now had to work on the otter. Otter was something that Damion found a teeny bit hard. He wanted to make it perfectly. he could feel his hands shaking. He was very very nervous. he could hear Dylan's voice in his head. "It's okay Damii. You've got it" Damion closed his eyes for a few seconds and then took a deep breath as he started tracing the otter on a new sheet. he wanted to start all over and make it right. Sometimes, it was Dylan and his voice in Damion's head that made him go. He felt that he had let Dylan be the boss of him so many times. Not that he had ever mind that. He smiled and looked at the otter he was drawing. Smiling as he was happy with what he had drawn he took the scissors and started cutting it. he wanted to cut it perfectly and make it look very pretty. After cutting it, he put in the tea leaves. Before taking the needle and thread to sew the otter and make it look pretty. He wanted every tea bag to look perfect.
