Shawty's Like A Melody
The tent shared by a one @Reid Kovacs and a one Alexx Séverin
It wasn't much. Alexx knew that, but then again, she didn't necessarily have the means of going about and setting up some grand, luxurious tent. Sure, she had the money, but who had the time to transport that and put it all into place? Especially without the help of others. So, she did what she had with her means and resources. The fabric lining the tent was a mix of beautiful oranges, purples, and pinks, which illuminated the space that she had claimed for Reid and herself with an array of those bohemian colors. There was minimal furniture, as the two wouldn't be needing much, but Alexx at least had the intent of making it feel homely.
Their beds were on opposite sides of one another because Alexx wasn't about to catch whatever disease Reid was carrying. It also provided more walk space down the center, which was ideal when getting ready. A curtain, for that very reason, was strung across the room, though it would be pulled back during the day very likely, as Alexx didn't want to be sitting staring at one side of the room and not talking to anyone during her time spent in here.
Relatively speaking, she was still pretty pissed that it was Hufflepuff facing the Durmstrang students and not Slytherin. All things considered, she did feel as though she had played an outstanding season, and she'd like to see those Durmstrang students give it their best shot against the emerald house. This isn't to say that she wasn't happy for Reid, because she was! This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and he would definitely learn some things from this match (no doubt that Durmstrang played with a different skillset than Hogwarts as a whole), but she would really like to knock some Nordic heads in (and Russian, she assumed). She also hoped that come next season, when Slytherin won, because they would, that there would be something like this in store.
Alexx had been looking forward to returning home to France over the summer, perhaps taking Reid with her to visit the city she was from, maybe taking a trip to French Canada and exploring their culture, just living life like she always would have. But of course, of course, there had to be something that came up to prevent her from doing just that. Not that this wasn't fun and all, and she would support her school and stuff, but damn, she really wanted to see Mikey.
Still, she would at least try to have a good time. If not for her own sake then for the sake of her tent mate, who was also, in part, depending on the mood being uplifting. She was sure that, to some, (but not her if it were her in this scenario because Alexx fears no bitch), facing a team that you've never seen play before would probably be nerve-wracking. She wouldn't blame him for being nervous if he was.
The two, admittedly, hadn't spent much time together during the school year, aside from sharing their winter break with one another, Alexx taking Reid to a circus and generally trying to clear the air. She did feel awful for being so rude to him, but then again, he didn't know the actual full story, and it was a lot more than Alexx being moody. She was trying her best to rebuild the bridge, and him agreeing to share a tent with her seemed good enough anyway. She was clinging desperately onto any sign that he had fully forgiven her, or was at least on his way to it, and this was a good one if any.
Even though it was getting hot out, Alexx couldn't find it in her to depart from her primarily hoodie-based attire. She was clad in a New York Islanders hoodie, accompanied by some ripped jeans and Vans. She had dropped most of the clothes that she would usually wear throughout the school year, knowing that it was just Reid, and she didn't have anyone to impress. Even if there would be cute Durmstrang boys roaming around, why put in the effort when there was Simon? Even if the two were on different continents and in different countries. It wasn't like Reid was looking anyway, so if he wasn't then surely no Durmstrang boys were.
chill babe. we're all bad in someone's story.

There were a lot of things to be excited for this summer, it was hard to describe how he was feeling at all. The absolute anxiety was the first thing that hit him, to perform in front of a large crowd of people of two houses was something scary. The wizard was a second string, but it didn't make anything any easier. From what he was being told, Durmstrang's team was quite the opposition, that alone was not that pleasant to hear. But the thought of falling off a broom so high was painfully real to him.
Regardless, he was happy that he wouldn't have to go home anytime soon anyway. As much as he loved his uncle Atius, he wanted to really just be with his fellow classmates and housemates. His uncle understood in the end when he wrote him that Owl anyway, he was gearing to come watch the game though. Reid hoped he'd be able to see him during this time, but he tried not toget his hopes up.
However, he did have high hopes for agreeing to tent with none other than Alexx Severin. Things had taken an awkward turn and he didn't entirely know where the both of them stood. Since his uncanny severance from some of his friends, he was on uncharted waters when it came to who to hang out. It was a convoluted year full of fights and disappointment, but the good moments softened the blows.
The Hufflepuff didn't carry much but seperated two duffel bags, one having his clothes while the other was Quidditch equipment. He was dressed as much as any muggle, choosing to embrace that side of his himself aesthetically. Whenever he'd return over break, he'd take note of the clothes other people wore on the busy streets of Birmingham and mirrored that than of his dry cut pureblood family.
Something rather homey struck his senses both visually and in the way things smelled. It reminded him of a small cottage when he stepped in and nearly had his bag sliding off his shoulder as a result. Reid caught it as his evergreen gaze drifted to his other roommate in question. First of all, this was without a doubt an odd situation to him. He wouldn't ever voice it but he's always slept around the boys, the change of genders was a shake up to say the least.
But he was doing this for a chance to possibly reconnect with Alexx and he wondered if that was her intention too, or she could have had him a last resort option. Reid sadly wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. "You know how to decorate a place, I really didn't think it'd be this big though ..." he awed, glancing about. Assuming she had her side picked out, he went to his side and set his things on the floor.
The beater was also holding a plant, with the faded name of 'Douglas' on the side. He placed it on a nearby table and plopped onto his bed with an exasperated sigh. It was sore getting here, he nearly got lost and he bumped into so many students that he was sure he injured half of them.

"Trouble usually finds me."
