A Small Pet for a Small Girl Pet Finished

Grace sighed, playing with her hair, she looked at the shop in front of her.

Grace loved animals, and she really wanted a pet.

Her mother told her it was alright to get something, as long as she had enough money for it.

“Grace, hurry up, I’ll wait out here” Iris Mint told her daughter, but Grace stared at the shop.

Grace finally snapped out of it and looked at her mother, who was gesturing to the door of the Magical Menagerie, Grace nodded and walked in.

When the small girl walked in, her eyes widened in awe, it was full of animals, Rats, Toads, Cats, Owls, Pygmy Puffs

Although Grace loved animals, she felt like she couldn’t take care of an owl, they seemed a bit hard to take care of.

Grace noticed a woman standing at a counter, she was smiling kindly, she was probably the shop owner.

“H-Hello... I’m here to buy a pet...” Grace said quietly.

The woman’s smile grew bigger “Of course, what pet would you like?” she asked with a kind voice.

“I actually don’t know...” Grace said, a bit louder than before.

The shop owner nodded “Of course, take your time”

Grace liked the woman, she was kind and patient.

She went back to her search for a pet.

Grace smiled at the cats, gently patting one, but it hissed and scratched her, Grace jumped away from it, trying not to cry.

Maybe she would buy a Pygmy Puff.

She went to the cute balls of colorful fur, but noticed she didn’t have enough money for them.

Grace sighed, she felt like giving up and going outside.

“I can tell you’re having a hard time deciding a pet” a kind voice of a man said behind the tiny girl.

Grace turned around to see a man behind her, he looked kind, like the woman, he was probably also the store owner.

Grace nodded timidly at the man, and he smiled.

The man turned around and walked to the rats, Grace followed him.

“How about this?” he asked her, gesturing to the rats.

Grace looked at one rat, it was small and gray, with bead black eyes and a long hairless tail.

The male store owner noticed Grace looking at the rat “I can tell you’re interested in a gray rat”

Grace nodded quickly, the man picked the gray rat Grace was looking at up and placed it in her hands.

The rat didn’t bite or anything, it was like they shared a mind or something.

Grace smiled, she knew this rat was the one.

“She seems to like you” the man told Grace.

“I like her too” Grace patted it’s head.

Grace remembered she needed to name her new pet.

“I’ll name her.... Biscuit!” Grace smiled.

She paid for the small rat and left the shop.
