Fed to the Lioness PV Closed

The ambience in the great hall was magnificent. The students and the surroundings created a sight plucked out of a fairy-tale. The scene that had been set was one of utter happiness. The magically enchanted ceiling seemed to shine. The pearl white clouds that adorned the ceiling seemed to flow further, creating a stark contrast with the everlasting sunshine. It would be a memorable weather day. Hogwarts was rarely blessed with such summer weather, where even an outer robe seemed a bit too stuffy. This is why most of the students had long forgotten those and wore a bit more summer-appropriate attire. It was still a weekday so they had to wear their uniforms, but Rosalind was sure that rules had been broken that day. She smirked at this, her troublesome housemates had made the majority of them. She was sure of it.

Most of the students fluttered around the hall, going from one seat to another, trying to catch up on rumours and other teen drama. Cries of laughter and astonishment could be heard all around. Dishes and beverages were being rushed from one side of the table to the other side. A few Lions had decided to hoard all the food, because quidditch players needed to be strong and well-fed. Rosalind rolled her eyes at this. Enraged cries had already been strewn around and students had angrily stood up, having decided to rebel against them. Luckily before anything serious could happen, one of the professors had seen the predicament and quickly put a stop to it. Swift and quick just as expected. Rosalind felt thankful for the intervention. She wasn’t wearing the right outfit for a food fight.

From then on, the students had begrudgingly passed the dishes and beverages back towards the other students. After finally having dispensed all the food evenly, the students could all start to eat. Rosalind could imagine that from an outsiders view, they would look like a hoard of hungry and feral hippogriffs, starving for food and attention.

At the beginning of the year, she had chosen a seat much closer to the professors. This to show her good manners and make a good first impression, but after many troublesome dinners. She had reallocated to a much more serene spot. She had hated walking towards the far end of the hall, being pushed against and bumped around. For this particular reason, the girl had seated herself close to the entrance of the hall. A spot that suited her much better, but still made her able to obtain information, as other diverse students had chosen to seat there.

Inside the Gryffindor chaos sat a Veela, silently observing her housemates and accordingly offering a joke of her own when appropriate. It wasn’t that the girl seemed lonely, far from it. She was surrounded by hundreds of students all trying to tell the craziest stories, going from quidditch practice mistakes to pranking a fellow housemate. Many encouragements had been passed around and cries of wonder and entertainment followed most of the stories. The girl had listened to them all and had taken mental notes. She loved how others would boast about themselves and accidentally handed out embarrassing secrets.

The table around her had been quite full. In fact, the only vacant seat was next to the silver-haired Veela. It was then that an unexpected guest arrived. A little bump here and there to fit in the tight crowd, but upon closer inspection, the new student didn’t seem to wear the typical red tie, associated with this particular table. Apparently, a badger had seated herself right into the lion’s den and it was feeding time.

Rosalind took it upon herself to aid the disoriented student, as it was apparent the others were too busy to offer some guidance. Rosalind carefully tapped the student's shoulder and carefully asked the girl.

Are you lost? The badger’s table is over there.” She kindly pointed towards the table, where a few students had already started to whisper about what was going on. Then she added. “Are you feeling okay?” The girl looked kind of out of it, stuck in her thoughts.
