Summer
Is summer still ongoing? I see roleplays from events that happened in the future so I am confused. Also am I allowed to play my character as if she has not been to Hogwarts before?

This is the information for Summercamp in July. That one is voluntarily, you can also go home. The next schoolyear starts in September.
Some people did roleplays in the future, but I know that staff prefers if people don't do that. Backdated- yes. In the future- Rather not.

If you are not in the Index yet- meaning you didn't register your Encyclopedia and got your Trunk approved- you will not move on to year 2. If you are and don't want to move on, you should contact your head of house.
If you want to have her start new, then it wouldn't make sense for you to play in Hogwarts yet, but there are many locations you can roleplay instead! Also that might give you the chance to write some family roleplays and get more familiar with your character before she goes to Hogwarts.

Summer Camp will start soon. It runs between 1st - 20th July in character. Out of Character, the event threads should be coming in the next week and will last till they finish - probably into August/early September.
You are welcome to attend summer camp -For the students who have only just arrived over summer:
You will have received a letter from Hogwarts staff, in which we invite you to come and spend a few weeks in our company already. This to prepare you with Hogwarts' regulations.

But your character's sorting ceremony would take place in September - on your first day of school (1st Sept evening). So you will only find out what house you're in (in character) at that time.
If you do not wish to attend summer camp, you can forward date your roleplays to September from 1st July onwards. We normally do not allow forward dating for more than a month as events, threads, friendships/people will change things. However, this is an exception for first years because if you are not attending camp then you (in character) don't really get affected by anything and have little else to do since you're quite new. You can RP in Diagon Alley shopping and buying things before school and then start at school in September IC. if you choose to do this, please put a date on the top of your threads [such as "1st September 2020"] to indicate this is being done.
If you do want to attend summer camp, then please do not forward date your threads at this time. I'd recommend joining the camp in July, doing some threads in Diagon Alley (if you wish to) in August and then actually doing your hogwarts express / sorting ceremony etc in September. This is more for your own benefit and timeline - and to avoid confusion.
