Support Team Durmstrang and be Featured in Art!

Donations will be accepted until July 1st!

As you may know, Team Durmstrang (whom you can meet here if you are not acquainted: LIST, Durmstrang bios) will be facing off against Team Hufflepuff in a friendly Quidditch match in the London Quidditch Stadium starting in early July. Many of Durmstrang’s players do not have anything but a school broom, so we are asking for monetary donations of any size in order to help buy brooms for those Durmstrang team members who do not have one.

If you support team Durmstrang you can be featured in a group artwork as well as possibly score some side commissions! Donate any amount and you can have your character (or another consenting character) depicted in a group artwork made by me (Aida). In this artwork all donors who consent will be shown in the artwork. Unless contacted otherwise, the default will be your character cheering, holding a banner for Durmstrang, or some other supportive activity that is in line with your character’s personality. I will try to accurately portray your character’s personality as shown on your encyclopedia page.

How to Help: To support us, you can send me (Aida) your contribution directly. Both brooms and currency are accepted! I will post your name and your donation amount publicly on a donation ‘thank you’ page. Funds will then be used for broom purchases for broom-less people, as directed by the team captains. You can also opt out of being named and/or pictured in the artwork if you simply wish to support the team!

1. All donors will be invited to an in-character party thread on Hio where your character can hang out with Durmstrang team members, indulge in butterbeer and other sweets, and otherwise enjoy merry-making.

2. Regardless of the size of the donation, everyone who does not request otherwise will be included on the thank you page with their contribution amount. Everyone depicted in the art will have a tasteful name label attached to them.

3. To be fair to larger contributors, the relative prominence of your character on the artwork will scale with the size of the donation.

4. For donors of tiers of 1 galleon and above: I will owl you to make sure you are happy with my depiction and you can make requests about how you would like to be depicted. You will also be granted a commission by Evelynn, as detailed at the bottom of this post!

5. All of these artworks are intended to be copied and shared anywhere you want them to go. They will all follow Hio’s standards for propriety and other rules that encourage a welcoming and inclusive site atmosphere.

Donor Tiers

Donations of <1 sickle = your character is labelled and shown in the crowd, but you may or may not be readily identifiable from solely your physical characteristics.

Donations of ≥1 sickle and less than 1 galleon = your character is shown in the crowd and I will make some effort to make it look vaguely like your character.

Donations between 1 to 4 galleons = your character will readily identifiable. Starting from this tier, special requests are welcome via owl.

Donations between 5 and 9 galleons = your character will be very prominent and I will put a lot of effort into making you look good.

Donations between 10 and 19 galleons = your character will be extremely prominent, extremely detailed, and you will look amazing.

Donations between 20 and 29 galleons = same as for the 10-19 tier except I will offer an ADDITIONAL small SEPARATE artwork of your character doing something Durmstrang-related, as you specify.

Donation between 30 and 99 galleons = same as for the 20-29 tier except I instead of a small additional work, I will offer a LARGE separate artwork of your character doing something Durmstrang-related, as you specify.

Donation of ≥100 galleons = same as 30-99 galleon tier, but I will make some incredibly detailed artwork for you incorporating the details you specify. It does not even need to be Hio-related at this point. This is the kind of advanced artwork that would take several weeks to complete and will likely involve mixed media.

A special thank you to anyone and everyone who does choose to contribute to the broom pot. For many of the Durmstrang iNPCs, this inter-school Quidditch game offers a rare and unique opportunity to participate in and experience the Quidditch system. Although it's already bound to be a memorable occasion, the initiative taken to make it that much more lasting is hugely appreciated. To support this effort, I would like to do what little I am able, and donate drawings of my own. For everyone that donates a minimum of 1 galleon, I will draw a bust of a character of your choice, lined with flat colour. Thank you again!
