Lisabetta De Medici - First Year Gryffindor

[font=Times New Roman]Principe Antonio Di Medici is the Prince of Italy, he is succeeded by his brother, Principe Leopoldo Di Medici, the crown prince of Italy, and his father, King Maurizio. He is married to Principessa Gabriella Di Medici and has a single daughter, Duchessa Lisabetta Di Medici. He was born and raised in Italy, but chose to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a long standing tradition in the Medici family. It was there at school that he met his future wife, Gabriella, who was an Italian/Scottish witch who had no ties to any royal family or blood. Principe Antonio Di Medici was already set to marry another woman who had noble blood, but he went against his obligations and married the woman that he actually loved, giving up his position as crown prince of Italy. Although he was not in line to be the next King of Italy, he did not seem to mind, loving his wife and family. [/font]




[font=Times New Roman]Principessa Gabriella Di Medici is a witch born to a Scottish wizard and an Italian witch. She attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry which is where she met her future husband, Principe Antonio Di Medici. She did not want to become involved with him when they first met, knowing who he was, and knowing that he was already promised to marry someone else. She knew that there was no way that he could marry her and still become king, not having any royal blood or ties herself. She had not expected for him to actually give up becoming king to be with her, and she had definitely not expected to become a princess. She is the mother of Dutchess Lisabetta Di Medici. [/font]

[font=Times New Roman]Lisabetta was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, with her mother and her father. They were not needed to stay in Italy all the time, since her father had given up his position as crown prince so they decided to live in Glasgow, Scotland, going back and forth to Italy as needed  for their royal duties. Lisabetta had been raised very unlike other children, being trained to take over a country one day keeps you away from all the fun times of being a child. Although she was no longer in the direct line for the crown, her uncle taking over the crown prince position, she was still expected to present herself in a particular manner and have certain training. She tried not to resent her family for keeping her from having a normal childhood, but it was very hard sometimes. She couldn't understand why she had to have a private tutor come by for session multiple times a day, learning different languages, proper etiquette, the countries structure and policies, and so on. She only wanted to be outside, playing in the grass and dirt, or high above the tree line on a broom, playing Quidditch. Being inside studying all the time or travelling to different countries for political events prevented Lisabetta from being able to make friends. She had no idea how she had gotten so lucky with her best friend, Elvira Winters, but she thanked the universe every day for her. Elvira's parents were good friends with Lisabetta's mother, having grown up together, so they visited quite frequently. At first, Lisabetta was afraid that Elvira would think that she was too weird or reserved and just ignore her, but it seemed to be the opposite. It was almost like Elvira had made it her own personal mission to make sure Lisabetta got out of her shell. She constantly convinced Lisabetta to sneak out from her studies, and run around doing various activities that would, otherwise, not be available for her. She was beyond happy to find out that they would be starting Hogwarts together, slightly sad that they had not been sorted together. Lisabetta was almost positive that, if she did not have Elvira in her life, she would forever be stuck as the quite, anti-social girl that she had always been. Lisabetta is hoping that by being away at Hogwarts, she will soon be able to see who she truly was and what she wanted out her life. [/font]
