It wasn't like Adonis didn't ever argue with his parents. He did. Of course he did. What kind of twelve year old didn't defy their parents or argue with them from time to time? Especially one who was as rebellious and had a strong will like Adonis. He had just never gone against their explicit orders like this before. Or his fathers at least. He was the curious type, the type of kid that would go and search for himself if he didn't get the kind of answer he would've liked to have heard. This one in particular was about his fathers side of the family. The Thorn's. Adonis knew all about the kind of wizards and witches they were, but this was family they were talking about. There was no way they couldn't all entirely be bad, right? Adonis insisted that there had to be some sort of good in them or some sense of humanity at least and not complete bloodthirsty pure-blood fanatics like his dad would describe of his own cousins, siblings, and father. All he wanted to do was just to be able to understand why exactly they couldn't even be near them or invite them over for one night to acquaint them. He didn't quite understand these sort of things due to being a twelve year old and then his father not really elaborating any further. He was his father after all and had no need to. Azrael Thorn was the adult in this situation. If he didn't want to then he didn't have to, Adonis should've been listening to him. But then again that's exactly what lead Adonis to not listen to him and blatantly disregarded his orders.
"I'm done! You treat me like some little kid who won't be able to understand or comprehend your reasoning." The boy shouted at his father, stomping his foot into the ground at the same time. He was an ignorant and impulsive kid and that's why he was in the wrong. "Because you are one Adonis! I've no reason to give you any explanation. I am your father, you do what I say whether you like it or not. Once you're seventeen, you're free to go. But until then while you're living under my jurisdiction, you are to listen to your mother and I and respect our wishes if we deem so. Got it, young man?" Azrael made it clear to him that he wasn't messing around at all and that there would be severe consequences if we went against his wishes. Adonis, of course, didn't take it lightly and his eyes flared up with the same sort of dark temper that his father had seen in only one other mans eyes. His own father, Canus Thorn.
Soon after the flare in his eyes diminished, Adonis took it upon himself to storm over to their fire place and grab a handful of Floo Powder, giving his father a daring look in his eyes. "ADONIS! Don't you da-" Azrael was quickly cut short at the shout of, "Thorn Manor!" Adonis bellowed as a torrent of green flames engulfed him shortly after and just like that, he was gone in an instant.
Within a second or so later, Adonis was suddenly stumbling out of a fireplace in a gothic looking room. It seemed oddly quiet, the sheets and pillows on the bed looked like they had just been freshly washed and placed there. The couch, chairs, desk, etc. all of it looked like it was just freshly polished and dusted off. Everything about the entire room was clean and simple. Adonis began to walk around, brushing his hand against the edges of pieces of furniture as he looked about. Suddenly, the door to the room was swung open and a tall, average built man who looked around the age of 60 with golden brown eyes just like his own was standing in the doorway. "Ah, Adonis! I knew you would come eventually. Come here, my boy." The older man spoke with a very deceiving gentle smile on his face and outstretched arms in greeting. This was the manipulating and conniving family head of the Thorn's, Canus Thorn.
To be continued.
