Obil Caecus-First Year-Hufflepuff

History/Background: Obil Caecus has lived almost his entire life on his family's berry farm with his mother, father, pet dog, pet frogs, and pet Tarantula. His parents are both of wizard descent making him a pure blood, but his parents are fond of living in the world of non-wizard folks. His father is of African descent born from Mali, but his mother was born in his home town Galway, Ireland. Obil doesn't know how his parents met, but because of his African lineage and his parents love of the muggle world, he is very fair and treats everyone as an equal. Obil spent most of his life without having any knowledge of the world of magic for his parents wanted him to first learn from a world without magic before starting a life with magic. Obil however has seen odd occurrences of magic such as his father's potion brewing in the basement at night, and how his mother caused shriveled/dead plants to be "planted" and "regrown" within a couple of hours. Obil relies more on himself than others for he tended to be bullied quite a bit during his life on the farm. He has very strange ways of expressing his feelings and how he believes the day would go by. A very common example is he tends to say, "My shadow is hugging me," to imply that he feels cold. Other kids in the neighborhood or at school teased Obil for such meaningless form of speech, but his parents always supported him to be himself. Obil's parents found his speech and terms to be a gift rather than a sign of a disability, for Obil could tell whether the day was going to sunny, rainy, bad for planting, or good for harvesting before others could be able to tell. Obil's parents claim he is intelligent and special in his own way, but many children and other parents of the neighborhood don't believe that. For this, Obil has hobbies of reading, interacting with nature, jokes, board games, and especially riddles. All these reasons came to for what he had done with his parents. His father taught him how to play chess (the muggle version, eventually teaching him wizards chess), and always gave him a riddle to test his knowledge. Obil's mother on the other hand taught him more of caring of plants and animals and to have a kind heart for others.
