An Out-Of-Hogwarts-Meeting
Opeila was excited to meet Willow. They had already said at school that they would go and shop dresses for the ball together and Opeila was in a great mood. The cat her grandmother had bought her the day before, had turned out to be a bit of a moody character, but Opeila didn't mind. She knew exactly that she could be like that as well.@Willow Anderson15th April, 2.00 pm
Opeila and Lady Margary had slept long this morning and then used the services that were offered by the Leaky Cauldron to have breakfast. The first year had to admit that she had not felt as safe and relaxed in ages. This was just the effect her grandmother had on her. Opeila had missed her a lot and seeing her again, even if it was only a few days, was simply amazing.
Eventually the two of them had left the Leaky Cauldron to walk down Diagon Alley to Madam Malkins. They would most likely meet the Andersons there. Opeila had not thought of asking Willow where they would meet, so the clothes shop itself was most likely.
The Slytherin was happy to see that Lady Margary seemed to look forward to meet one of her granddaughter's schoolfriends as well. Since she had left her family to Hogwarts, Lady Margary felt like she was missing out on her granddaughters life, Opeila had noticed that.
"They should be here soon, Lady Margary." Opeila stretched to try and see anything through the crowd.

An Out-Of-Hogwarts-Meeting
Interacting with @Opeila Seilun and Lady Margary
While Willow couldn't share Hogwarts with her mother since it was enchanted so muggle parents couldn't see it, she could share places like Diagon Alley. They had gone school shopping together at the beginning of the year, but they hadn't visited ever since. But, with the Blossom Ball coming up they had a reason to go back. Sure, they could go to the regular dress stores that they would frequent for fancier occasions (mainly for Wiccan holidays). Diagon Alley was just more mystical and even her parents were craving to see more. Her dad couldn't attend because of work responsibilities, but Willow was sure her mom would tell him all later.
Willow and Rowena headed up to Diagon Alley from their home in Willen, England. Not taking too long to get there. They even planned on catching her dad on his way home from work in the evening since he worked in the city. Willow and Rowena were firmly hand in hand to not get lost in the bustling streets of the town. Both still as enchanted by it as the first time they set foot into it. Willow lead the way, since she was vaguely familiar with where they had to go trying to spot her friend while dodging and swerving around wizards.
Finally, Opeila peeked through the crowd for one second and Willow started to make a beeline for her. Dragging her poor mother behind her. When she finally made her way in front of them, she quickly pulled Opeila into a hug. They had never really... hugged. Unless you count when she was sobbing in the courtyard. But, Willow felt like after that she might be allowed to hug Opeila. "Opeila! This is my mom, mom meet Opeila!" She would introduce her mother to the woman next to her, but... Willow didn't know her.
"Please, call me Rowena." A kind smile lit up Rowena's face, similar to the one on Willow's. Rowena extended her hand to Lady Margary, then to Opeila. "Willow has told me quite a lot about you Opeila, it's a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance." The formality of her mother was quite different than the bouncy informality of Willow. But they were similar in the kindness and warmth that exuded from the both of them.

An Out-Of-Hogwarts-Meeting
Repeatedly looking at her watch, Opeila stood on her toes to try and see Willow through the crowd, untild she felt her grandmother's hand on her shoulders. "Your friend knows, where Madam Malkin's is, doesn't she? Well, then she should arrive soon, but for Merlin's sake, stop the jumping around, child."
Opeila only nodded at Lady Margary's words. She was used to that sort of behaviour, the old woman valued calmness a lot and didn't ever forget to remind Opeila of that.
Impatient the little girl tried to look throigh the crowd. The holidays meant a lot of people it seemed and the Slytherin was not surprised. Diagon Alley was quite a beautiful place.
A little figure crashed into Opeila and hugged her, before the brunette could even realize what was happening. When she did, she was a little surprised about the hug. She had not been sure before, if Willow and her were on a level that could be called friends, but Willow seemed to think that. Or maybe not? After all she gave friendship bracelets to everyone, Opeila knew that the Hufflepuff was quite forward with people. "Hey Willow!", she greeted her with a smile and gently hugged her back.
She stood with het back turned to her grandmother, otherwise she would have seen the rare smile that appeared on her face for a second.
Excitedly Willow introduced Opeila to her mother Rowena, who told her that Willow spoke about her. A little surprised she looked at the Hufflepuff. It had never even occured to her that anyone could speak to their families about her, but it wasn't so unlikely, was it?
Her grandmother cleared her throat quietly, reminding Opeila of her manners. "Oh uhm- It is nice to meet you too, Rowena." She turned to Lady Margary. "Lady Margary, that is my friend Willow, Willow- my grandmother Lady Margary."
"Margary Crane, it is nice to meet you, Willow and Rowena. My family has this habit of calling me Lady Margary, but you can simply call me Margary, if you like. I wish I could say that I have ever heard your name before yesterday, but my granddaughter doesn't speak of Hogwarts a lot, I am afraid."
Opeila's smile was a little forced now- She didn't like this topic at all. Willow helped her when she had a breakdown in the courtyard, but she didn't need her grandmother to know of that, just as she didn't want Willow to know too much about her life at home. It was nothing personal, bur Opeila liked to keep those two worlds apart.
She took Willow's hand. "Let's look for dresses for the ball!", she suggested.

An Out-Of-Hogwarts-Meeting
Interacting with @Opeila Seilun
Willow was absolutely buzzing with energy. It wasn't hard to get Willow super excited for something, but dress shopping? She had only ever been with her mom. So getting the chance to do it with a friend absolutely delighted her. Especially with the addition of being able to meet a family member of Opeila's family. Lady Margary, or well Margary. She had never heard someone addressed as Lady especially a grandmother. Willow's grandmother had always just been Grandma.
"A pleasure to meet you La- Uh, Margary." Willow curtsied awkwardly to Margary, feeling like she had to be extra formal before looking up to her mom for guidance. But, that wouldn't last long as Opeila grabbed Willow's hand and dragged her off into the store. "We'll be right behind you sapling, don't worry." Willow cringed as her mom used her nickname that her family almost exclusively called her. Owena turned to Margary, "It's her first ball, so exciting isn't it?" Willow had missed out on the Masquerade Ball, apparently to her benefit because of the events that occurred. But at the time she was just simply too behind on homework to justify attending.
"D-Do you know a dress code for the ball Opeila? I mean, Sean kind of told me. But, I don't really know what people wear to balls." Willow's general nervousness of the upcoming event was starting to peek through ever so slightly. She was hoping Opeila would be able to dissuade those fears. She seemed more knowledgeable in stuff like this. As they entered the store Willow quickly took it in before walking over to the section for girls and starting to thumb through the racks and see if anything popped out of particular interest to her. "I think I want to wear something pink. What about you?"

An Out-Of-Hogwarts-Meeting
Uncomfortable, Opeila stepped from one foot to the other. She had never appreciated the wall that Hogwarts provided, a wall to hide her family and their issues behind. Now that Willow got to look behind that wall, that Opeila might not even be able to control what she got to see, the Slytherin was close to regretting this. More reason to get Willow to go inside the shop with her.
Willow seemed unfamiliar with the formality between family members, something that had been just a part of Opeila's as well as Margary's life forever. Margary after all was born into a strict pureblood family, and her daughter's scandalous marriage with a muggle didn't change her view on some of the experiences she just grew up with. So just like Margary always had to call her grandparents Lord and Lady, Opeila always called her Lady.
Opeila was glad when Willow finally followed her inside the shop. It took most of the anxiety away.
"A dresscode? There is no actual dresscode I think. I mean, flowers would fit the topic, it is a blossom ball." Opeila had not worried so much about a dresscode, on the contrary, it was the smallest of her concerns. The ball had been cancelled and she was involved in the organisation of a secret one. If the professors found out, Opeila didn't want to imagine what would happen. And then there was her date, the mysterious third year, Vladimir, who had possibly used her before to set up an attack on her house. Yes, the dress was in fact her smallest concern.
Willow said she wanted to wear pink. Opeila nodded. "I mean, it goes with your hair. I've never seen a blonde look bad in pink." She took a pink dress, and held it in front of Willow. "Yes, pink will look good on you." She put the dress back. "I thought I might just stay with my house colour." She lowered her voice. "And it has to be something rather basic, or Lady Margary might just add some old-fashioned changes to it..." To the old woman, it was always important that Opeila's clothes were age appropriate. For festivities even more.

An Out-Of-Hogwarts-Meeting
Interacting with @Opeila WintersWillow couldn't tell if there was more stress or less stress being that the only dress code was flowers. She had never been one for formality, whether in conversation or event. Even for her families celebrations of holidays where they would get together with all of their witch friends in London the dress code would still mostly be comfortable since they would be performing rituals. Maybe she could stick between the two, comfortable yet... fancy? Did that exist? Those two words didn't seem to coexist in her mind. "I mean it's a ball... H-Have you ever gone to one of these? What's it like?" Her eyes would peek out of gazing at dresses every now and again to look at Opeila while she was looking for her own dress.
The young girl couldn't help but giggle at Opeila's comment about blondes in pink. "Yeah, I mean I guess you're right. It's just one of my favorite colors. Besides, of course, yellow. That's a given." She looked down at the dress her friend had picked out for a moment before she put it back. "I think green would look really good. Especially an emerald tone, I think that would make your features stand out the most." Willow had started gathering a couple dresses on her arms, handing one over to her green-loving Slytherin that she thought might interest her. "Ah, normally my parents let me just wear what I want as long as it's appropriate obviously. As long as I like it, it's good enough for them." She loved embellishments, everything she had picked up so far probably would not be suited to Lady Margary's taste. But, luckily her mom's opinion was the only one that mattered to her.

Willow seemed a little... unsure about Opeila's vague words. Opeila was almost surprised. SHe had barely worried about her clothes at all, but it made sense that it was important to other girls, who looked forward to the ball. Who didn't have to fear ending up dead in a dark corner to be found by some other student. Opeila shook the thought off before the fear could show on her face.
She shook her head when Willow asked her if she had ever gone to a ball. "My family doesn't really attend festivities like that. And in Hogwarts luckily I didn't, I've hear that the Masquerade Ball last year was a disaster. Was it giants or something? Part giants?"
At the moment Opeila didn't exactly expect the blossom ball to turn out less disastrous. She had a hard time pretending to be optimistic.
When Willow said that she loved yellow, Opeila grinned. "Of course. I guess we're both just girls of our houses." Opeila watched the Hufflepuff pick dresses, some of them making her wish very deeply that Lady Margary wouldn't look over to them. As much as the little Slytherin liked her grandmother, she knew Lady Margery to be a very shallow judge sometimes. Willow agreed that green would look good on Opeila and handed an emerald one to her. "Oh, I like it!" Opeila placed it over her left arm and started to look through some green dresses for herself.
"Oh, I think my parents wouldn't mind so much either.", she told Willow, "But it's normally Lady Margary, who goes shopping with me. My dad works a lot." She didn't start about her mother. That topic would not come up today, this was a fun day with her friend. Opeila wouldn't let anything ruin it.
Four dresses over her arm, Opeila turned to Willow again. "I think I am just going to try those on.", she told her.

An Out-Of-Hogwarts-Meeting
Interacting with @Opeila WintersWillow's eyebrows furrowed as she tried to remember the Masquerade Ball of last year. She had been so overwhelmed with getting used to school and trying her best to play Muggle Catch Up that she definitely didn't attend, and didn't really hear anyone talk about it either. She eventually shrugged. "I can't remember, but if that's the case I'm glad I didn't go. I'm just hoping that if it does go wrong, it won't be because of fire. If I ever have to see another fire again it'll be too soon." Her voice mumbled the last part. Her mother didn't know about the Hufflepuff Common Room fire, and Willow had no plans of telling her. She feared that her parents would yank her right out of school if they knew what actually happened within the dark castle walls.
Even with the flash of negative thoughts, Willow couldn't help but mirror Opeila's smile, other people smiling just helped her feel better. "I couldn't imagine being a Hufflepuff when I first came to Hogwarts, because I didn't really know what it meant to be a Hufflepuff. But now I can't imagine being in any other house except for Hufflepuff." She had a wistful sigh before she spoke again. "I do wish I could come visit everyone's common rooms. Just to hang out with my friends and see where you guys spend most of your time. You guys are under the Great Lake, aren't you?" She hadn't really gotten an opportunity to talk about the other houses, but it wasn't a hard fact to come by that Slytherin was literally under the lake which just boggled Willow's mind.
Every now and again Willow would spend an extra moment examining a dress before adding it to her growing arm pile or replacing it back on the rack. She was someone that always enjoyed playing dress-up. Growing up her and her mom would always have princess tea parties where they would get all dolled up just to have some tea together. "My dad works a lot too, but he always manages to come back for dinner. Even if he has to go back into London for the rest of the night because of big projects." The Anderson's valued family above all, and it was obvious in how they lived their life and their schedules. Being away from her family had been the biggest change for her.
With a glance at the pile that was probably around ten dresses if she were to count, Willow nodded sheepishly in agreeing to go visit the fitting rooms. "You have to show me every dress! Even if you don't like it, I still want to see them on you." With a bright grin, Willow grabbed Opeila's hand and led them over to the fitting rooms to play their own kind of dress up, except this time there was actually a ball to be attending.

The little Slytherin nodded, when Willow said that she was glad she didn't attend. There was probably good reasons to feel that way. "Me too", she said, "I guess that is why they cancelled the blossom ball. Christ, it's actually madness that I am helping with the planning of a secret one." Opeila lowered her voice, quickly looking at her grandmother for a moment. "If it was found out, Lady Margary and my dad would kill me, though Professor Jensen would probably love to as well." Especially after their last conversation in her office. They had been talking about safety and Professors and students working together. And here Opeila was, possibly destroying safety just behind her back. Yes, her head of house would probably be willing to strangle her, the little hypocrit she- knowingly- was being.
Opeila's temporarily darkened mood lit up again when Willow started about houses. "I actually can't imagine being a Hufflepuff at all. I feel like I can be too impatient and also impolite at times, I guess that's why I didn't end up there. What is it like? I imagine the Hufflepuff common room all bright and friendly. Is it?", she asked her friend.
"Yes, we are under the lake, the light is all green and dark. Not going to lie, Slytherin is creepy. The whole atmosphere in my house is. I don't know if it is because some don't know how to deal with their house? Slytherin had a bad reputation and a quite clear stereotype and I think it influences people more than they admit. At least we have some muggle-borns, so people refrain from being racist mostly. We have good people though. I am endlessly thankful for Flash Holmwood, honestly, he is amazing."
She smiled. "My mother hoped for me to be a Ravenclaw, but by now I actually wonder how I didn't get into Gryffindor. I think I could have fit in there too."
Willow told Opeila that her dad worked a lot too but was always back for dinner. "So is mine most days. He works as a cook, which is quite cool. We always have really good food on the weekends." Again she glanced over to Lady Margary, before she leaned over to Willow and whispered "Lady Margary is a great witch, but her meals are not the best to be honest.
What does your dad work?"
Opeila laughed when Willow told her to show her every dress, even if she didn't like it. "Alright, alright!" She let the Hufflepuff drag her over to the fitting rooms and entered one. "See you in a moment! You show me yours too!", she said before closing the curtain.
