A New Beginning
Ellis was saying goodbye to her father, and headed out the door.. She didn't know what was going to happen if her father ever found out where she was going. She knew that he would get upset, but she had to go to this school.. It was her calling. As they were saying goodbye, her father said, "Make sure you call.. I'll miss you.". Ellis didn't know how to respond to this.. She knew that she wouldn't be able to, as cellphones were prohibited at Hogwarts. So.. She responded with, I'll try.. They say that the school doesn't like to use mobiles.. I'll write to you, though!". It was at that moment that she remembered that she could, indeed write to her parents.. She hugged her father tightly, and walked out the door.
As her, and her mother, were getting into the car. She felt butterflies in her stomach. She didn't know what the school would bring, or why she even got selected.. She wondered why she was a witch. She didn't choose to become one, so why her? Her mother looked over at her and said, "You look nervous.. Calm down. You're going to do just fine at the school.". Her mothers words comforted her, and made her at-ease. "Buckle up!", her mother said. So she did.. They pulled out of the driveway, and headed for the train station.
As they arrived to the train station, and she started to get nervous again.. They got out of the car, and Ellis locked the doors. She was so nervous, that she dropped the car keys that her mom had given her to lock the doors in the first place. She shakily picked them up, and handed them to her mom.. They headed inside of the train station and looked for platform 93/4. They couldn't find it, so they asked a guard. He responded with, "What are you talking about? There is no such of a thing". They continued to search, and Ellis notice someone run through a wall.. She thought she was hallucinating, and asked the person right beside the one who had just ran through. They said that this was how you boarded the Hogwarts Express.. Ellis was shocked, so she ran and found her mother. She explained everything and how they had to do it. She also said that her mother might not be able to get through, due to the fact that she wasn't magical. Firstly, her mother tried to walk through, and it worked. Ellis was shocked and very quickly followed after her.
Once they got into platform 93/4, Ellis and her mother said their goodbyes. Ellis saw a tear run down her mothers face, and quickly went in, and hugged her. She backed away from her mother and boarded the 'Hogwarts Express'.. Once she got onto the train, she got into a compartment that was empty.. She wanted to wait to make friends until she got sorted, this way her friends would be in her house, and so they would be able to spend more time together.. She sat down, and her journey to Hogwarts began..
Don't always count on me
