When the dreamer dies, what happens to the dream?

History/Background Story:
Ersa Murtaugh came into the world as a Capricorn on January 14th, 2008. She was born in Dublin, Ireland to Nevan Murtaugh and Olivia Lancia, one an Irish Pureblood and the other an Italian Muggle-Born. She's the middle child in a family of three children, younger sister to Cillian of Ravenclaw and older sister to Little Flavia. Her mother chooses not to involve herself much with her muggle family, who's scarce in numbers anyway, so Ersa only knows her Pureblood side, who're well known for their conceitedness and vanity. She begged to differ. Her narcissistic father dislikes how she's refused to go along with their 'principles' so inturn he constantly belittles her to the point where her insecurities are near overwhelming. But he also taught her how to keep a level-head, and how to have patience and faith when there's nothing else.

She spent most of her time in public school near her home in Cork, Ireland out of insistence from her mother in order to get a taste of both sides. Once her magic surfaced, though, Ersa was transferred to a private school for elementary wizards and witches. A cousin from America visited and attempted to teach her baseball before he left. In her excitement Ersa hit the ball so hard it shot into the sky like a bullet, never seen again. Now there's a family joke going around that whenever she's caught daydreaming, her mind's 'probably orbiting the moon like that one baseball'.

Ersa is a pensive girl who's often found daydreaming when she's not observing others. She keeps a lot of to herself, from secrets to opinions, but isn't afraid to speak up. She definitely not afraid to defend herself, verbally or physically, but would rather lurk in the shadows than go looking for a fight. She shies away from attention because of her insecurities, which were bestowed onto her by her narcissistic father. Afraid of being considered conceited, Ersa tries her best to be kind and thoughtful but sometimes her tenacity and silence make her appear just the opposite. Thankfully Ersa's not easily irritated and will wait until things get better or, if she really has to, make some changes herself.

Ersa has many interests, including poetry, mathematics, astrophysics, wand-making, and ancient history. She loves to read, especially scholarly books. She likes to find deep meanings, but also likes the fun of learning something new and satisfying her burning curiosity of things. But if anyone she didn't know well asked what she liked, she'd say just wand-making, the cello, and general history. Ersa's two favorite things in the world are felines and documentaries.

Currently she's attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a first-year Slytherin. She's proud of her house but also curious of why she was sorted into it.
