Nell say quietly at a small table in the study room. Her parchment lay in front of her, covered in notes from class. Her pale, ink stained hand dipped her quill in ink and wrote away on another sheet of parchment.

Nell Zoldak was studying for her Astronomy test. She was quite nervous as this was her first test in Astronomy. She wanted to get an “O” to make her mother proud.

Nell had an Astronomy book layer out in front of her for reference as she took many notes on the parchment. Nell had been studying since 7 o’clock this morning, and it was 2 o’clock in the afternoon now.

Nell was almost done with her work for the day and ready to go for a walk by the lake. She quickly wrote, making sure every “i” was dotted and each “t” crossed. She vowed to her mother over owl that she would get an O.

She didn’t want to know what would happen if she got anything below that. Finally Nell finished her studying and began to roll her parchment up. There were two separate sheets, each 2 feet in length.

Nell was so caught up in rolling everything up that she didn’t see someone had sat across from her. Nell was so surprised that she spilled her ink all over their textbook.

“Oh no, I”m so sorry,” she said shyly. Nell began cleaning the ink up with a spell that first years weren’t really supposed to know.

[OOC: This is my first ever roleplay here so I'm wishing myself luck]

The person sat across from Nell was a small girl, but what she lacked in height she made up for in personality. Chaya Arrow looked at Nell rather suspiciously. She had arrived in the study room about ten minutes ago. She was rather solitary, so would have sat somewhere other than opposite the other girl, but having no choice (as most of the other tables were full), opted to sit where she was now.

Chaya had been working on a small but important essay for Potions class. She was rather disgruntled at seeing her page of writing and textbook covered by ink, seeing as she'd spent at least two hours refining it and two writing it.

Luckily, Chaya had a good memory, so could remember a lot of what she'd written. but was relieved anyway when Nell began clearing it up, impressed too with the other girl's knowledge of spells. Chaya waited until all the ink had gone before shaking her head quickly. "Don't worry about it," she said simply, but with a rather cold tone.

Rolling up her completed Potions essay and tucking it into her bag, Chaya went to do some more studying, but not before speedily shoving two other things into her bag too- a plain notebook that had clearly been used a lot, and a rather questionably titled textbook, but the only word of this title one could catch was Dark.

Chaya started writing again, this time for Transfiguration, as if nothing had happened at all.

When Nell finished cleaning the mess up, she took a seat once more and continued to scribble away on her parchment. She was a bit embarrassed about what had just happened, but she tried to forget about it, anyway.

Nell stayed quiet as she completed her study session for the day. Upon finishing, she, carefully this time, put everything away in her bag. She got up and scurried out of the study room rather quickly.

She went up to her dorm and placed her bag under her bed while no one was looking. She didn’t want anyway rummaging through her stuff at all. Nell proceeded to grab her journal and her quill.

When Nell got to the lake, she sat down and sighed. It was a warm, spring day, and Nell wanted to enjoy it. She took out her journal and wrote away. Writing was one of Nell’s favorite things to do.she did it whenever she could.

When Nell had completed her four page entry for the day, she placed her hounds beside her and lay on her back.

Bored, she recalled the incident in the study room. She knew that girl was Gryffindor. No, she wasn’t a Gryffindor. She thought about it a bit more. A Slytherin, that’s what she was.

Nell was not quite sure what to think of the girl, seeing as she had said four words to her.

Interacting with @Nell Zoldak
Autumn did not go near the lake often. She had used to, but one of the times she had done so, in hopes of writing a letter to Hae in peace, she had found two 6th years making out with a picnic blanket beneath them. Autumn had sworn to herself after that that she would make sure to avoid the lake after that, no matter the serene feeling she got when she stared into the depths of the water, no matter the fact that the place caused here clarity and cleared her head. She was eleven, and she was not one for unnecessary public displays of affection.

Today she was there because she had found a wonderful book in the library, and with the Astronomy test coming up soon, 1st years where everywhere all the time, and they were loud. Autumn had already studied, and Astronomy was one of her favourite lessons, so she had already gone through her textbook, simply for fun. This was why nobody liked her, wasn't it?

No, it's because of your fear of commitment and vulnerability. You lack emotional intelligence, and you overthink everything, causing anyone who interacts with you anxiety.

Shut it.

There, she saw Nell Zoldak, a Ravenclaw in her first year, one who Autumn had heard about, but never interacted with. The one Ready had made up rumours about. The one who had petrified the prefect. A small smile played onto her face. Zoldak had the guts of a Gryffindor, reckless and courageous, the ambition of a Slytherin, determined, stubborn and self-assured. Instead, the girl was a Ravenclaw, due to what Autumn assumed to be her wit, curiousity and adaptability. Then again, these were simple analysations. Once she would interact with the girl, she would have more observations and inferences and data in general to work with. She would have to watch tone, and body movement, and-

Autumn realised she had been staring. Zoldak had probably noticed her. She sighed, and before she could convince herself otherwise, approached.

Nell was sitting by the lake quite peacefully, the dew from the grass seeping into her black tights. It was a warm day, and Nell wanted to enjoy it. Back home, in Cork, the weather had always been rainy and chilly, which Nell didn't mind at all, but she needed a change.

She was just sitting there, not doing anything at all really, when she noticed a girl staring at her. Nell stared back for a second, then, quite disturbed, picked up her books and scurried away. That was the only thing that would make her not enjoy the day - stalkers.

She went up to her dormitory and plopped on her bed. She didn't know that girl, or did she? Recalling her face, Nell decided she didn't. However, Nell did try to remember the girl's house. What was it . . .? Nell thought for a couple seconds then remembered. Hufflepuff, that's what she was. Nell also believed she was a first year by the looks of her.

Nell took out her textbooks and studied in the boredom of her bedroom. She longed to go out, but would she be watched by some unknown person? She didn't know, nor did she want to.
